I've been watching mma most likely before you. What you probably don't consider is that khabib and Islam are huge 155ers, their style would not translate in their natural weight class. Its documented Theyre willing to almost kill themselves for the weight advantage.. Khabib would often miss weight and dominate as a welterweight.. And I don't find this to be honerable.

its pretty simple. casuals still have an emotional pull for who they want to win and also for what they see in films. flashy styles make sense to them. experienced fans know that no matter how great bobbys win would have been and even though he has one of the sickest striking styles ever to be seen, that a strong wrestler will literally take a striker away from positions that he can strike in lol
