Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

Each language is its own point of view. When you compare languages, you note the differences. If you can hang the conversation about those differences into a simple enough context ("I've lived here for few years now but I still notice these things..") then you have material for a lifetime. In case you're interested in the sense of humour, there are a lot of books written about how different languages express ideas. If you want a bit less serious, translated literature usually retains the POV of the original writer and their language. Classic Russian literature is the go-to example.

I feel like he's way funnier in English than in Finnish. I mean his Finnish stuff can be good too but I'm practically cry laughing every time I watch his English stuff.

I'm liking his English stuff but I think the variety in topics is still very much lacking. He mostly does language and superficial observations about American culture. I eagerly await for when he starts to really expand his topic selection.

I feel there is no difference between the sets in finnish or english. To me he seems like the same guy in both languages, same style. My all time favorite Ismo joke was the "Ismon palli" bit in finnish. Unfortunately I have not been able to find in a long time.

As devoted fans know, Ismo studied physics in a University in Finland. It is also a pretty well known fact that higher education is free in Finland , except your own living etc. costs. But not as well known fact is that Finland is the toughest country to get into university! There are faculties where only 1% of the applicants pass. And in Finland you score 0 points for your dad´s fat wallet or if you are a Olympic gold winner or what have you. You simply need to do really well in the high school (or senior secondary school if you are European) and in the tests to even get into a university. So the mere fact that Ismo has passed the tests to get to study physics, means he must be a smart Alec.

"except your own living etc. costs". Actually that is paid by the government too if you're not working at the same time. Altho living with government grants is not that luxurious.
@Zasi24

Lol getting into higher education is a lot harder in, say Beijing Uni. Embarrasing to think that corruption is how these spots are decided everywhere else, it just is not. Look into it
@carolusmartellus6552

@@Zasi24 I was not referring to "everywhere else" - in America, you do score points out of those factors I mentioned. I quite recently read and article where it was stated that Finland is the most difficult country to get to a university. I'm dead cert it is really difficult to get to a university in China and India . I guess this study concerned only western countries, I'm not sure
