I remember fighting the electro hypostasis when i was really low AR. It was a fun challenge. Having fights be timed in this game often just disincentives learning enemy patterns properly.
Time in abyss is 10 minutes per chamber which is long enough, they dont want it to be like mmos where you need hours. 6* allows 5 minutes which is quite a lot if you can already get to floor 12. Its also only 50 primos and 20k mora more so idk why people are treating non-36* with such importance.
That's actually so big brain of u to notice. In overworld the enemies die too quickly for me to notice anything, and in abyss, 3 min has me rushing blindly most of the time, resulting in never learning the new enemies atk patterns. It used to be more fun when overworld could actually hurt u....
Bronya might break genshin, imagine a character that resets skill or burst cooldown of a particular ally and her burst increases attack and crit damage of all party members, plus she has 100% crit rate on her normals.
The electro ley line disorder saps your energy, and raiden refunds your energy… if the hydro ley line disorder slowing water makes your cooldowns longer, what will Folcalors do?
That's sounds similar to c6 Raiden dude. c6 reduces burst cooldown, c4 increases attack, burst recharges party members' burst, skill increases burst damage AND best part is nobody seems to care about her support capabilities because she does top tier damage in 2 different ways, either regular dps or hyperbloom.
I've been in love with the green mushroom chicken boss ever since Sumeru released... I had the same kind of encounter with it as Zajef did with the cryo regi, except I was on my alt account where i only play Lumine and Amber, and boy did i have a blast having an actual battle against it, without it having cringe mechanics. Clear patterns, properly telegraphed and dodgeable attacks, and on top of that, it has different mechanics depending on the element you fight it with, it's so cool. It does have a cringe "stalling" attack, but it doesn't even last that long, and you have a long dps window after it. I still clearly remember that battle, and I'm always happy to see it in abyss too.
I don't think the AR matters here. I agree on both regisvines and the chimken even though I encountered the chimken as Ar60 so it died very quickly. but he's my favourite boss to be in the abyss aside from magu kenki. magu kenki is only cringe for that one invincibility phase and teleporting, but the teleporting can actually be avoided in the abyss - you just have to make sure he's always with the back to a wall (just like when he spawns) so when he dashes back he only moves a little bit
He isn't really complaining about C4 Jean being useless, he's complaining about Jean's ult itself. The effect of C4 is nice, but it's an addition of an already clunky ability. And he's right: her ult is too small, pushes enemies back when activated and pushes them again every time it does dmg. I would also add its duration, which is definitively on the short side compared to other circle impact chars.
@@Nikkikkikkiz lets be real, if you're using sucrose you have her on an em build, so swirls will do a large portion of the dmg. yes c4 jean does increase it but the amount getting increased aint worth it, aside from the fact that sucrose is a buffer and not a dps anyways

Bro Cyno is Keqing level, only that KeQing feels much better to play cuz she is not forced to stay 18s on field, and you can freely swap after just 5s onfield. Cyno was bad before Baizhu came out, now he is just mediocre. It doesn't mean he cant clear abyss, it just means there are better characters to use, in the same role that he plays in. And one of those characters is a Standard one. There's no point in pulling for him, unless you really like him. Literally electro Yoimiya, and that is coming from the biggest Yoimiya simp ever, cuz i can actually accept that my favourite character is nothing more then just mediocre. In the current state of the game, his kit just does not make any sense, just like Yoimiya's kit having 0 AOE makes any sense either. Can you play him? Sure. Can you clear abyss with him? Sure. Is he the character that is worth pulling, comfortable to play, and lies at the top damage wise? Hell naw. Cyno is getting Yoimiya treatment, and it shows. And you can't really argue with all of that either, cuz it's just true.
@championabovechampions5550 except Yoimiya has a lot of team options that help her clear any type of content. Cyno gets shafted pretty hard in multiwave, but he's good in Chaos/Solo Electro Quickbloom teams where he can utilize at least 60% of his burst. And nobody stays on him for 18 seconds every rotation, you just can extend them, just like with Childe or Alhaitham.
I honestly think a character like cyno is balanced around being played in a repeatable co op game mode and not in single player, like how Kuki and Dori fulfill similar roles but one is suited to single player and one is suited to co op
Yaoyao's burst was also balanced for co-op, Mika's base kit (attack speed buff and healing) was probably designed for meme comps during co-op matches like machine gun Wanderer, Ayato, Yoimiya too
Ah yes, the memories... I still remember finding the cryo regisvine and, for some dumb reason I was hoarding exp mats so my characters were at like, lvl 1 or 2 and I thought "you know what? Imma kill this thing" Took me frikin 3 hours dealing idk, 2 or 3 charged shots of 140 pyro dmg with Amber every time I stunned it and baron bunny dealing some random dmg until I got it.

I'm not sure how much you watch him, I just sometimes get to catch a stream or two but I'm pretty sure Zajeff has often stated how Thundering Furry is a fantastic team that only really shines in specific AoE content that has heavy enemies with stagger resistance. The only reason he values that much more than he values Jean is because Thundering Furry is a good team in its niche with a fun factor to it, which a C4 Jean doesn't really add to Xiao Teams since she's only there to Battery and Burst. He stated quiclearly that Thundering Furry is almost about as good as Nilou teams, with the difference in their restrictions: Nilou teams aren't the best for some shield breaking content, while Thundering Furry is great for any type of shield breaking; Thundering Furry isn't great for light enemies while Nilou is good as long as enemies can somehow be grouped without a grouper; Nilou teams aren't the greatest against single target bosses, although it's still not an issue since her teams do a lot of damage anyway, while Thundering Furry is almost as good in both AoE and Single Target, but obviously it's better in AoE since for Single Target you could just run a standard Hyperbloom team unless you just find the team fun. Not only that but I'm pretty sure that it's statistically easier to get all the characters needed for Thundering Furry than getting C4 Jean + an Anemo carry + maybe the other optimal supports that an Anemo Hypercarry might want. As a Xiao and Wanderer Main I would like to get C4 Jean soon (I'm at C1 despite having C3 of Mona, Qiqi and Keqing while also having only C1 Diluc and C0 Tighnari) to try and get the highest damage possible on them, but I already rarely ever use Bennett with Wanderer due to circle impact (I can get away with that since I have C6 and Bennett isn't really that much better than having 2 good sub DPS)

Right, but: 1. None of the circles in tfurry actually PREVENTS you from staggering the enemy back into it 2. Tfurry is a good team where every character needs to play their part whereas you can substitute C4 Jean for any other anemo/sub-dps unit and achieve the same results, probably with less pain
[edit: tagged wrong person, tag removed] it’s not like he says that TFurry is good in all scenarios, he knows damn well that TFurry is circle impact and knocks enemies away… and that’s why he says that it feels shitty in scenarios where enemies get knocked away, he never hid that. There’s no bias here, but on top of that Jean C4 objectively isn’t THAT good even if enemies stay inside the circle. The point is that most players with C4 Jean are whales and use Xiao with Zhongli and probably Albedo too, Zhongli already provides Res Shred diluting Jean’s C4 effect. On top of that, even if you give fav to Jean… Sucrose C1 with TTDS is a way better battery. I did some calcs a couple of weeks ago, in a nutshell the energy + the buff from TTDS together make Sucrose a bit better in energy reach scenarios than Jean C4, A LOT better in energy poor scenarios (up to 14%, which is quite massive). This is assuming that you have optimised artifacts where you sacrifice ER on Xiao for more offensive stats, relying on your teammates and especially your 2nd anemo to battery Xiao. Point being, Jean C4 can be useful against heavy enemies and bosses, but even then Sucrose C1 with TTDS is generally better or at the very least competitive if your artifacts aren’t particularly optimised and/or there’s a lot of energy from monsters (and I’m completely ignoring grouping…). Jean C4 is still great for extreme scenarios like the Wenut, who has a lot of Anemo Res, so Res Sheds becomes invaluable… but then you should ask yourself why are you fighting an enemy that counters anemo with anemo… I guess it’s fun though

I've never understood why people thought Jean was good. She was my second 5 star and I assumed she'd be useful since I kept hearing she was good to get from standard, and I literally haven't had a reason to use her since then. I like her and want to use her, but her only possible roles are Sunfire where she's generally a worse Kazuha/Xiangling and as a Xiao support where she's only better than Sucrose if you need the healing, but Xiao doesn't really benefit that much from the role compression so I can just add a different healer.
She was good in the initial abysses when her ult cleansed the annoying elemental effects, and her skill allowed you to deal huge falling damage to enemies.

4:48 Also, there were no timers in open-world, the enemy was just threatening to us, and it's moveset was fair and controlled. THIS is what would make me return to this game, I wanna chill and zone out while I explore, then get slapped out of that by tough foes. I wanna find bosses in their lair, as a climax to an area, not fight them in the same fucking room everytime. It's hard to challenge us like they managed at the start for sure, especially with more varieties of cheese becoming available, but just let us. Let the Zhongli stans finally take ages to kill as they please. Remember the Wolf and Childe etc.? All the cool ways people killed them and avoided their attacks? That's all we really need, no need for insanely tight design like in Dark Souls style combat etc., just something good and deliberate. Think of how those fights were back then, you moved around, dealing dmg where you could to avoid having to expose yourself to risks more often than necessary, but making sure not to get greedy.
Hypostatic symphony event will always be my favorite combat event and the one that I despise the most. It was painful, but it was the last time I actually remember struggling in an event and completing it was so satisfying.
Oh man, I remember that I still was using Amber for the dragon spine regisvine and my girl was to stun the boss from tbe bubble that protected us from the blizzard, it was amazing doing this on co op.
I'm starting to think that Zajef has a serious amount of skill issue. Sure Jean's burst knock back enemies but nowadays they have high stagger resistance like the elite Eremites, the normal ones can be one shoted by Jean herself buffed by Faruzan

I am pretty sure math destroys bolide on anyone, it's a cope set that was meant for Yoimiya but now is made for no one. as for VV it is good on Xiao but you need to pull on the weapon banner and win for it while you can get to R5 PJWS just from standard/losing your 50/50 and I'm pretty sure R1 VV tanks with PJSW refinements
A bit off topic, but I seriously don't understand why Hoyo doesn't add more coop-exclusive activities. They can capitalize on it in so many ways, but it's so underdeveloped. The only time I ever used coop was to hang around with my friends by killing bosses and getting achievements, helping each other in spending resin, and exploring. All of these can be done in single player, so there's no real incentive to do it with them unless I want to hang out for 30 minutes then say "Ok. What next? lol". Word of mouth was how I got them to play Genshin (they even ended up buying welkin a few times), so it's frustrating seeing this aspect of the game being neglected so much.
I cleared current abyss with Eula, shes good guys! It only took me giving her the most investment ive ever put into a character ever! 90/180 crit ratio, beacon, 2300atk, 130er, Fischl/Kazuha in her team with Diona battery. Stop making fun of her guys!!111 >:(
good one on clearing with Fischl! I recommend taking out Eula and Diona out though, you can put Nahida and a second other electro character there for even better results
What is wrong with Cyno's kit? I don't get it, maybe the percents are weak, however he still clears, he can make use of the dendro and hydro characters, has 3 artifact sets that suit him well, TF combos are very satisfying to pull off. Why does he get so much bad rep? Almost like he is the electro dehya of Genshin.
It was for Xiao I wished for Faruzan and got C6 I risked the 50-50 in the Itto banner even when Itto was already C1 back then and didn't need more cons, just because what's the point of me getting C6 Faruzan for Xiao if some Wanderer is gonna steal her. So I'm someone who got C6 Faruzan for my Xiao without getting Wanderer.
I'd just share here the Abyss mechanics I enjoyed the most 1. Wax and Wane phase of energy, where you can get energy for 10 seconds and none for 10 seconds on a rotation. I like this because it requires you to plan out more on when you use your attacks, skills and burst so that you can continue your rotations without minimized problem. This I think is better than the patch 1.2 Floor 11 where you lose energy every set time period. 2. The Abyss chambers where enemies use elemental reactions to their advantage. Because if we can use it against them, then we should also be prepared to go against these reactions, such as the Aggravate/Spread from the Consecrated Beasts in previous Abyss, the getting Vaporized and Melted cause you stood inside Bennett's Ult. The getting Frozen by Heralds. It's annoying and yet it's more engaging than feeling invincible just cause you have Zhongli's shield, Bennett or Kokomi. They can still go through those things if you aren't careful enough. You don't wanna get Frozen? Think of who you wanna deal with first, the 2 Cryo Heralds or 1 Hydro Herald. Also Hydro Herald increases skill cooldown so don't forget to dodge that. 3. Chambers where enemies have aura with effects like Ice Cage Fireballs Geo Rock Wave something They're annoying and yes they can easily throw you off and even kill your characters, but being mindful of surroundings aside from just hitting enemies gives more variation to gameplay. These are probably nullified by Zhongli but then we also have Corrosion, so learning to dodge is also a good thing.
i'm just curious, do you spend money? I'm not going to shit on you in either way, I just want to know where you're coming from because I completely disagree (as a low spender). First one: makes you feel like all of your grind is wasted. I start my rotation, get to raiden and oh well no energy (because it was during her banner). Okay, I adjust my rotation to do her burst later ig. oh wow, now the enemy is invulnerable. great. 2. The aggravate, vape etc. I agree because you can dodge them. you can't dodge the freeze if you don't have the stamina. also you get affected by the elemnt even during your burst for example so be prepared to get frozen right after. "You don't wanna get Frozen? Think of who you wanna deal with first, the 2 Cryo Heralds or 1 Hydro Herald" - that's not true. you have to deal with all 3 at the same time if you want to clear in time unless you have whale enough damage that you breezed throught first half in 30 seconds, mages and heralds to their shield and now you jave 2 minutes just for the shields. most of us have like 40 s left when we get to the shield. you can'a afford to focus for example just the hydro one. no, you have to hug the wall and get lucky with RNG hoping they will bounce the wall and don't spread too much. 3. ice cage - another mechanic which would be fine on it's own but stops when coupled with 5 other stupid things. fireballs and geoshields can be just tanked so idk what you meant with "feeling invincible just because use Zhongli or Kokomi" actually, all of those can be tanked and don't incentivise you to learn the attack patterns at all. for example with the current 12-1 I realized it's much better to just tank everything on Bennet's ult while Kazuha's, Ganyu's and Xiangling's ults do the thing. and I'm just on 30k HP Bennet, with Aquilla favonia, spamming his skills and other's bursts when they're ready. because that's Genshin. just have enough dmg and if you don't rememebr you can swipe for that. and the more you swipe the less annoying those mechanics are because you can be like "oh nice let me dodge this and that, run around the room dodging stuff, I have time", "oh what a cool mrechanic with this boss flying in the air! and I have to dodge it's missiles. so cool! i can kill him when he comes down in one rotation anyway". what's fun for me is the event we just had where you could turn off the timer and still get max points. despite them picking annoying bosses it was still fun because you could opt for survability over raw dmg and also if it's a boss you actually can dodge the attacks, contrary to the undogable combos from 3 enemies at once that also drain your stamina.
Zajef seems to undervalue Faruzan. You cant run double anemo but triple anemo works wonders and is a fairly significant boost. I see people look at c0 vs c6 Faruzan the same way they used to look at c0 vs c2 Shogun. They felt the c2 was neccessary to make her a valuable dmg dealer to build a team around, when it really wasnt, its just that c2 brings such a massive boost it gives the impression of the base kit being "mid". And despite what Mihoyo does, I think the way the dmg boost of Faruzan scales the more cons you get is fair. C0 is good, C2 is great, C6 is basically the perfect anemo buffer

Not really. Faruzan is better even at c2 but shes not much better. Someone like fischl can battery xiao while also providing good off field dmg or yelan who can also do great off field dmg plus a dmg% buff. Faruzan makes xiaos numbers bigger to compensate for the team slot she takes instead of fischl,yelan etc and unless she is c6,the difference isnt that big.
C2 Faruzan is good for damage but to be able to fill that burst without C6. But comparing C4 Jean and Faruzan, it's definitely more than just damage numbers. C6 Faruzan just fits Xiao better because energy regen and suck, on top of the anemo shred and dmg buff.

So people who know more about the game wouldn't pull to make Xiao team DPS better, it's to make Xiao's dmg better. Like me, I wanted Xiao doing 100k Plunges. So I have Xiao, Bennett, Yelan and Faruzan for my team.

when it comes to enemy design, one thing i despise, is the way enemy shields work, because they have X ammount of elemental points, and you can either chip away at them with damage, or use a specific element, it would like it so much more if their shields worked exactly the same as the player shield, so Heralds/Lectors effectively say "don't use my element" instead of "use element that specifically counters me" then shielded enemies would take Y ammount of damage to break those shields, instead of X elemental points keeping the DPS check nature of abyss, but without bullshit stalling mechanics
That would be so bad. The mecanic of use elemental reactions to break the shield is what make it so good. If it only was a "electro shield = less electro dmg, pyro shield = less pyro dmg" then all the reactions system would only be important after the shield break. With the reactions shields system the reactions have an importante during all the fight and it feels different to fight a pyro shield, to a hydro shield, a geo shield to (i hope some day) an anemo shield.

thing i hate about hypercarres is that once they died there is literally no one can deal dmg. plus, their power levels are scaled with their dedicated support teams like nationals and double hydros are fricking cracked bc almost all teammates can do dmg. i have c2 raiden and a c6 sara but i rarely use them. i use raiden taser or national instead spend ur money wisely. u shouldnt pull for HCs even if u love them so much bc their teams are a the most risky teams and the most expensive ones to build
Disagree. I built both and they all have their own pros and cons. My hypercarry teams like Itto, Xiao, Wanderer, etc… are way cheaper to build than International (which took me waaayy longer to farm for) in term of talents and resins. “Hyper carries are riskier” No that’s just skill issue. I find myself dying or fucking up rotations in International than unga bunga hyper carry (Childe is still a very fun unit dont get me wrong) “Once they die no one in the team does dps!” Literally every team ever. If Nahida or Kuki in my Hyperbloom team die mid battle i will have no choice but to reset the abyss. Also shielders and healers exist, either dodge or die. And you can slot in a sub dps in a hyper carry team, just like every other teams. Wanderer can play double hydro, Hutao is also kind of a hyper team. If you like a hypercarry then just build them. Literally not a waste of money if you’re satisfied with their playstyle and performance. Tldr; skill issues, just learn to dodge or build your shielders.

I like Cyno but at C6 Faru, Cyno C0 is way worse the Xiao and Scara. He needs his spear to shine also. However pre C6 Faru Scara is just trash. And I am Scara main. Eula is at least better than Dehya Xd at C0 with C6 Faru Xiao is best. Doing 120k plunges in huge AOE is quite nice.
@@deltaspecies1697 The thing is, Cyno is Electro and you could literally just run him with ER sands while stacking as much as EM on him and he'll already perform miles better in a scuffed hyperbloom comp than any of Itto, Xiao or Wanderer comps would. That's what makes him better than these hypercarries because he can react with dendro which gives him quite a high floor to begin with
I disagree, Itto/Xiao/Wanderer may have lower DPS at a baseline but scale better with vertical investment due to being hypercarries, and also have niches where they can shine like geo shields/swirling multiple shields/less enemies having anemo res. Wanderer also has the benefit of not being burst-locked.
JEAN IS A HEALER, NOT A BUFFER, she has a different role in a team. She should not be compared to Faruzan in any way possible, cuz she is a different type of a character. The fact that she's anemo doesn't suddenly make her a buffer. It's like people who compare Baizhu to Nahida XD The same level of stupidity.
Jean is also the 2nd best healer in the game (after Barbara), so she's a great addition to a Xiao team. The sisters carried me through so many Spiral Abyss when it had the wolves + the exploding mobs.
This is about C4 Jean, where she gets a -40% anemo res debuff. Her being a healer is nice, but in the context of Xiao (or Wanderer) teams, it doesn't really matter that much, because Bennet is their best buffer to the point where you can't really seriously consider not running him, and he already has healing covered. This is a pretty common issue for jean, where her healing often ends up not being an asset because most of the teams where you'd want a VV healer already run bennet.
@@poodlep.9719 Jean + Beny is a good shield breaking combo. Enemies that ussualy have high HP have alslo high stagger resistance so you dotn move them too much with Xiao. Also playng with Xioa by default requires you to postion him in such a way that he pushes low poise enmies to the wall and bonks the high HP ones. She pretty much covers his ER requirements and depednig on the investment can deal better dmg than pre C6 Faru /cos the latter needs 3 mln ER./ You can also play her with Faru. So Jean c4, Xiao, Faru, Benny will rock high res enmies :) I am not sure however. I need like 3 more Jeans :))
@@poodlep.9719 I personally don't rate Bennett as a healer. His burst takes too much energy to charge, it has a tiny aoe, and only has a short duration. If the entire team gets damaged against some of the more lethal SA levels, Bennett will struggle to keep them all alive, especially as he doesn't heal to max. I used to use him with Jean, so I could use their bursts at the same time to break shields. That way Jean's burst handled the team healing, whereas with Bennet's burst, I could just focus on doing damage. Also, my Jean is C6, so her burst gives 35% damage reduction for the entire duration, +10 seconds after the burst ends. There really is no comparison between Jean and Bennett in terms of healing/defensive buffs.
