Sometimes sitting down means you cant stand back up, and stopping to take a break can slow down your heart rate and it can be difficult to get warmed up again.

@@jaeguevara3776 you obviously dont understand how the body works. When you take breaks then you get tired and the body becomes more exhausted than when you keep working. That's why i don't take my breaks at my job because then i just get even more tired and unmotivated
That mental game is on point. Imagine sitting on your bench waiting for your water and a cold towel then you look over your coach's shoulder to see your opponent starting you down NOT taking a break. That's a morale breaker for sure
It does help when your beating up cans ,guys that are not your level . He didn't even try that type of shit at elite level in Glory ,where he left with a negative 2-3 score .
@@johncash638 I'm talking about kickboxing ,ufc is unfortunately a circus with the weight cuts and fixed matches . Izzy is amazing when fighting guys that are way smaller than him ,that's why he quit Glory kickboxing ,he knew he was gonna lose 5-6 out of 10 matches .

This is actually a dope perspective. Cause back then there weren’t any breaks when fighting your opponent. You take a break when the other gives up or dies. Crazy times when in now.
If someone did that to me. I would initially be shook. It takes a whole different mindset to do that. If I wasn't injured or something prior to this, I would probably smile and step to the center right with him. Dont let anyone set the tone or dictate pressure. Let's see who quits first.
