Thats one of the best parts of fighting tho, if your fighting someone who dosent have this mind set then you end up toying with them, its when you get someone who has the same thought process while under pressure. Thats when you got a good fight
Unconsciously fighting is where it’s at. To be consciously unconsciously is....... idk.... Iv been there a couple times. Strange place to be in. It’s very intense to say the least.
Not only was Anderson Silva 43 years old, he had not fought in 2 years, and he went the distance with the current middleweight champion 15 years his junior. And people still dispute that he's the G.O.A.T. or that PEDs built his legacy.
Biggest thing i picked up from the talk, love adysania. Respect him as a fighter and his self confidence/ assurance. Inspiring, john jones is a goat but lacks these characteristics
Israel : Pull that Naruto episode, Jaime Jaime : I'm just going to pretend I didn't hear that Israel : * Looks at Jamie twice* Jaime : Alright here you go
Love this guy even more after this chat. What an amazing insight into the minds of fighters. Proper facinating. I've had a lot of scraps in my time, I know what it's like to hurt someone and I also know what it's like to be hurt- but these were brawls- in the playground or on a night out - no calculation, just instinct and desperation, thankfully on both sides. These MMA fighters are technicians of dismantlement. Pray you never lose your shit on a night out with one of these folks.
Naruto is dope, I need izzy's t-shirt anyone know where to buy it?...also some anime for mma fans to watch are hajimme no ippo, kenichi, grappler baki, megalo box, ashita no joe, tenjou tenge and also hinomaruzumou
Mitch McConnell Lmao dude you’re super ignorant. I’m a wrestler, and a practice Muay Thai and jui Jitsu, and I watch anime. Am I a fat neckbeard? Just stay in your bubble and never open your mind to new experiences.
Wow - what an interview Israel gives. The guy has so much personality and clearly a high functioning brain. What Rogan does really well is get his guests to relax. He seems to get so much out here for them
The way he describes the techniques an the "dance" they were doing is a perfect in its description bc hes absolutely right theres so much more to a good fighter then what ppl think
Isreal was not even trying to hurt him. You see it in the last round when isreal throws a leg kick and halfway through he softens in, like he doesn't want to hurt him again.
@@scoundrel_9966 Anderson was never in trouble for 4 years with 11 UFC fights prior to his fight against Chael in 2010. In which Chael tested pos for roids. Israel on the other hand got rocked by Gastelum in 2 years with 6 fights in the UFC. Almost lost to Gaethje btw Silva first 7 UFC fights 7 finishes 0 decisions Israel first 7 UFC fights 3 finishes 4 decisions ( almost lost to Gaethje via Split dec)
Lavar's Balls you do realize Silva also popped? Lol. Silva lost every single round to journeyman Chael in their first fight until the miracle submission he caught with him. Anderson Silva also ducked Jon Jones so he could become a 2 time belt. All you do is look at Anderson Silva highlights you never actually watched his fights. You’re a kid is okay to be a casual.
@@scoundrel_9966 Lol look around on RU-vid. you might see several comments of me since 2006. Not that it matters but proof how dumb you sound. Like I said 11 fights before the Chael fight. And yes Chael tested HIGH on that one. And still lost. Silva ducked Jones? When did you watch MMA? Leme guess the Conor era. Jon Jones never wanted to fight Silva and vice versa. Besides Jon Jones was an upcoming star And Silva was already in the decline while Jon Jones was still cleaning out the LHW division. Doesnt matter though both fighters will lose to Jon Jones.
I have watched Rock Lee vs Gaara a lot of time. I specifically had the entire scene cut. It truly was legendary. Rock lee a strict Taijutsu user, and Gaara a jinchuriki who doesn’t even to move a finger. The moment when Rock lee got rid of the weight around his ankle, I was shocked !!!! I was like Omg !!!! It truly shows the fighting spirit and never giving up no matter what even if the opponent is really stronger, but the spirit is important. After this fight even though Rock Lee lost, he gained recognition among his friends. It’s a great scene.
@Stolen From Africa That's unnecessary. Whatever you do, you'll get likes and dislikes. Izzy is likeable, even there'll be blacks who don't like him. It doesn't matter. Just be yourself. Don't be quick to jump on race wagon. It brings negative energy.
Although he did have a few KO on his resume, he wasnt a knock out artist.. He was just a beautiful artist, unpredictable, cocky , charismatic.. But he was outclassing guys with technique ,and accumulation os strikes ended up being ko or tko on his resume
Neelam Das I’d agree that his power came from precision and timing rather than Anthony Johnson beast mode power, but a fair few ko’s came from power rather than a strict accumulation. Leben, Irving, Marquadt, Griffin, Belfort, all finished quickly plus you only had to see his opponents reaction to being hit to know he hit really hard. You have a point though in that his ko’s were more his opponents curling up in a ball and signalling for the ref to stop it, instead of them being Ben Askren style stiff.
I'm around the same age as Israel, I can't imagine the chills down his spine when realized he was fighting Anderson Silva. Watching the baddest dude all your life as a kid then all of a sudden you're going toe to toe with him.
@@matthewwolfe5828 Israel wouldn't be who he is now without watching Anderson for the past 10 years. Without Anderson even existing he would probably be an above average fighter and nothing more.
If you know your opponent and know yourself the battles already won, don't know the quote verbatum, but people think that professional fights are like street fights were people win by strength and luck, UFC is closer to chess than actual real life fighting.
FML These new casuls every damn where...No offense to either they're fine fighters but Jorge has been a competitor a good long while so nothing new about him. Stylebender reminds me of Silva/MVP as both of them have crazy head movement but one wrong guess leads you to a nice long nap.(Silva vs Wiedman 1, MVP vs Lima) So if anyone out there figures out his go to movement they can try and pull a tricky attack like Jorge vs Askren.
I love Isreal. But we are talking about a 44 year old man who hasn't fought in years. Anderson and Israel's striking was high level, and Adesanya won a close kickboxing match but, to not acknowledge the age factor is unfair.
Dude also admitted that he studied Anderson for years and knew all his moves. If he went against a prime Anderson without having tons of footage to look back at it would have been a different story.
Ram this is exactly what Izzy was talking about people dimming his shine cuz they too sensitive about what he says Get over it bro and enjoy his performance
If you look back on the fight, you will see that Israel gives Silva a lot of respect and is very cautious throughout the fight. I believe it is due to this that Silva couldn't really catch him as Israel took very few risks. Israel knew how good Silva truly was, fought the right way, and deserved that win.
🙏🙏🙏 I’m really enjoying interviews with Adsanya 👍💪 he is so Genuine and funny .. I have become a big Fan of his .. Great personality and a great Fighter 🙏🙏🙏
Man this dude is awesome I love he’s appreciating and acknowledging his hero but stil saying he’s next I’m the best Anderson passed the torch and he’s running with it right on !!
@@iloverosenamajunas8082 when you get to your 40s, you normally are not as quick and may need to do a little more to not get punched in the face. Hands up would help with that. His recent defense has been walk forward and hope chin survives. Not an expert but i can Wiki his 1-6-1 record since weidman.
@@iloverosenamajunas8082 you don't get it, casual, he's got a point. Silva does still have amazing head movements, but they're not as quick as they used to be. He's human and age eats away all humans.
Man I know Israel Adesanya gets a lot of hate but the dudes skills and charisma is just so top notch it’s hard to hate him fr. The way he flows in that cage and is never uncomfortable is so fun to watch. This man is one of the most entertaining fighters to watch and for that he deserves so much more respect than he currently has from everyone. I know this man, Usman, and Francis are gonna be belt holders for a while and I’m so happy that there all African belt holders cause ts legendary fr. When has there ever been this many African champions? Absolutely never so this is going to be historic in the future but I’m just enjoying it now literally watching history being made wow. I just hope all 3 stay healthy and continue to train like they have been cause others are hungry for them belts so these champs have to stay on there A-game.
I'm not an expert but I remember seeing Silva 10+ years ago and thinking he was some kind of ninja. You don't need to be a master fighter to tell that he was on a different level.
