The question isn't if Russian & Chinese Air Defense can spot F22s & F35s. The question is if they can get a weapons lock on it before the aircraft can get good burst at it. So far, there's no evidence to show any of the Russian or Chinese AD systems has been able to achieve that. Its not about spotting the aircraft, its about being able to get an effective lock on it. Stealth is not about complete invisibility.

for people who understand one thing or two about air combat, the max speed is not so important First, when you have long distance air-to-air missiles, who cares who flight faster Second, max speed with after burner is good for a short period; fuel is not endless There are many parameters which define the best aircraft In addition, each country/army has different capabilities; Israel airforce (regardless politics/opion/etc) has to maintain highlevel of maintenance The IAF aircrafts are also capable for short periods between flights --> I call it throughput: Do more with less

Iran can buy all the new state of the art fighters it can...its pilots are just not experienced enough to confront Israeli pilots. Any aerial combat will result in a huge humiliation for Iran.
I will say this the Israelis are good in a jet like the F35 the Iranian won't be up to the task at 1st they will have to train a lot in order to even to get close to the Israeli.
Wrong on the speed ratings, the f35 can supercruise for 150 miles at mach 1.2 so its not considered a subsonic fighter, and mach 1.6 is not that slow, they dont dogfight at at those speeds
