Trauma can take many months to surface, PTSD trauma. It's going to be very tough. I get the impression the doctor knows very much more than he can or wants to reveal. I always get the impression that Israelis are exceptionally strong and resilient in the face of all. I hope so. 💙🙏🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊

It sickens me comments from some people on social media saying how well the released hostages look and they don’t look mistreated! These people were beaten, starved and made to watch the video of the atrocities of 7th October with guns at their heads. Many of them children. I cannot imagine the fear they must have felt wondering if they would be killed at any moment. I hope they all find some kind of peace from this. ❤❤

There are deep psychological & spiritual scars here, as well as open wounds which may never heal. There are broken hearts and those who will forever ask, "why?" When even the seasoned, trained and experienced care givers can neither take, nor give any longer, we will not begin to comprehend what it must be like to go through hell. 😥

The trauma of these hostages is going to be more and more obvious as time goes on, trauma manifests itself and can take a long time to be fully revealed, i fear for every single hostage and victim of oct 7th

Yes, children tend to be more resilient compared to adults, but that's in part due to them not proccessing the realities of trauma in the ways adults do. Adults have more of an objective understanding of good and evil and can cope in a more logical analytical way, but i think its much harder for children to process. Every adult knows that trauma that they've experienced as children often takes years, decades, or more, to process and to heal from.

Why would we think Hamas would treat them any other way ? They are animals and need to be stopped before they do it in America

No medical professional can answer any of these questions as they hold an oath to confidential patient information. Every hostage released would never show their true trauma until they felt quaranteed safety. They woukd all break down when their emotional needs were in safe hands. I know this as a medical professional. Just imagine been a hostage walking tge riad as short as it was to a red cross car, the question each one had to comprehend - am i dreaming, am i truly in safe hand's. Stop asking these wonderful medical professionals tgese questions. You will never get the answers. Only the hostages if they want will answers these questions and even then only some will reveal what actusl happened.

One of the doctors who treated 12 of the children hostages who were released said that if you hear what the hostages went through, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO SLEEP!

I wonder if the children whose limbs have been blown off, whose wounds are dressed (if at all) without anesthetic, whose families, partially or entirely have been blown up, whose homes are now dust will ever receive the medical , psychological or social care they’ll need to live, even remotely, what could be a ‘normal’ life. That’s of, course if they don’t die of infection, hunger, thirst or disease before they have the chance to grow up.

Israel’s duty is to get the hostages back, protect its soldiers and then to reduce the ability of Hamas. All the marches and online posts do not change the priority to protecting the Palestinians above those goals. The Palestinians have chosen to not release the remaining hostages for a ceasefire. The Palestinians get the same compassion they showed to the Israelis, and they reap the consequences of having rejected the 2 State solution from 1948-2008. They can still choose to have a 2-state solution with peace, stability and a future for the children or they can continue the same path of death and misery. In the meantime, until the hostages are freed then Israel should stay the course and the Palestinians should reflect on the consequences of their choices.
