I have the same mower 61in i was having same issue. I thought it was $300 control panel. Seen this video to late but thanks buddy. Yea spartan techs need to fix it. Best mower ive had i love the seat suspension lol its so nice like sitting on a cloud. You dont get bounced around.

Thank you for this video. Same mower same problem. Ordered part for mine in the meantime though welded 2 pieces of heavier metal together on a 90, drilled 2 holes where they mount back to mower haven’t had the problem since. Agree that is a weak piece for the job it does. Question I have for you, ever have problems with mower not wanting to start? Put code in, push start button acts like it wants to turn over but doesn’t start, can sometimes take upwards of 10 mins or more before stater actually starts motor! Extremely frustrating!

I had the same issue and I traded it in on the next year model with the key start and have not had any issues since. You can change the computer out to a key start but I just traded mowers.

@@papawsplace i think cub should've installed a switch for turning off the front lights which I plan on installing.I did add a USB port for charging my phone. It is nice to have a couple different size mower decks to accommodate the terrain. Does your front mount to the frame have grease zerts? I'm thinking I should remove the top bolt and cap to check the bearing grease. Have you dealt with that?

No grease zerts on the front but I haven't had any issues with it at this time. I wish they had zerts on the spindles myself.

I noticed you have the magnetic pin kit installed. I have that on my Spartan SRT xd as well. Did your deck start dropping or do you like the pin better?

Both, it started dropping when I would raise the deck with the foot pedal going over roots and such, But I do like the pin a lot better.

I love watching your channel in your little grandson hes just adorable. Thank you for showing us how To Do this. My Raleigh law more is brand new and if you put it in neutral what they say that you have To Do before you step off of it set one I. Do that my mower dies so I was wondering if there was anything I could do or could you tell me anything? Thank you ain't god bless

The way most of the mowers are setup now-a-days you cannot bypass the safety switches. ( some you can) That is the biggest complaint I have with this Spartan mower.

When this happens to mine (and I hope it don’t) I’m going to fix this with a toggle switch. You turn the switch on with the arms in the safe position, start the mower, then move the toggle switch to the off position, and go mowing…

Ok paw , can you help me find a transmission fluid other than the Parker ht-1000 that’s compatible to use in the Spartan Parker hydrostatic transmission??

Well, I'm not gonna say it's the same oil but I topped mine off with the Bad Boy transmission fluid. No issues so far. Just a tip: Look up Bad Boy mowers with the same Parker Hydro Transmission.

@@papawsplace I finally gave up tryin' to find that "full synthetic 10w-50" for the Bad boy and followed the Different Mower sites advice and went with the plain Ol' 15w-40 standard "Dino" oil. I run it in the engine as well. Now on that topic, what happened to you BadBoy Elite? Where's it at?

That is easier said than done with that computer control keyless start panel. Now that I got the same mower with Key start you can bypass a lot of the safety crap.
