It actually does, this is a prime example of Capitalism. What doesn't belong in America is permits, taxes, and fees that is sucking small businesses dry.
@@100KSUBSWITHNOVIDZ then rent a space, legally hire employees, get permits, pay taxes and do it legally. Or so they get to do it illegally for any particular reason?
The government is corrupt. You are asking the people who let them in illegally to now make them follow laws. Not going to happen. The elite want cheap hot dogs for when they get drunk at night like corrupted hypocrites who will face a reckoning one day.
Why are police and health departments not doing anything about this? I have seen them shut down restaurants for less. WTH is everyone in these departments getting to lazy too do their jobs?
How much do you want to bet they don’t even pay taxes on their taco stand income, but if I miss one quarterly payment I’ll get penalized and they’ll add interest on top of that. 🙄
The don’t pay any taxes they are illegal and get welfare on top of that. They make an average of 2000$ plus a week in profits as the restaurant go out of business
THOSE HALAL CARTS IN NYC GOT LICENSES AND THEY AINT WASH THEY HANDS OR CARE TO DO ANY OF THE SHTTT YOU MENTIONED. HAVING A LICENSE DONT CHANGE NOTHING BUT YALL PAYING EXTRA TAXES TO THE STATE....
@@tipsylok7679 and it's getting poorer, dirtier and more lawless. And I bet you're proud of it. I bet you have the same old entitlement mindset as well. Gonzalez.
This is a common practice in third world countries. There's no soap there's no hot water! There's no sneeze guards. People stand right over the food and talk and pass money. Straws and forks are not individually wrapped. Food is kept in ice chest. I don't understand how these people get away with these food stands. There are numerous health violations! Not to mention them skipping out on business taxes!
But the food is hot, tasty, cheap, can see who is preparing it first hand. I will eat from a street vendor, before ordering from an indoor restaurant where, who knows who is doing the prep, chef anymore.
These issues have now moved into Toronto canada. Whats the purpose of having the law if it does not apply to people but yet business owner are getting hit by inspection. Yes people got to survive everone gets that 😮but than why r those that do follow the rules are bring tax.why bother having permits if the law will not be in place at the end. U see it in new york in La n other place now
This is what you get when you don't enforce the border- I bet most of these people are here illegally and this is one of the many results we have to deal with in this once great nation...
I lived in Santa Barbara for most of my life until a couple of years ago when I moved to a suburb of Los Angeles. Street vendors here began in business areas and then expanded to residential areas. There has been one directly in front of my house in a strictly residential area Across from a country club for the last year and a half. Please, don't let this happen to Santa Barbara! Stop it now before you can't. These are not individual mom and pop vendors. There are organizers with definite agendas for expansion who run and employ the vendors. Please be forewarned. It would ruin Santa Barbara if vendors take over and move into residential areas as planned.

How come you're not complaining about the homelessness and crime that goes on in LA? Would you rather have street vendors in your city? Or crime and homelessness? You have your priorities wrong, but I guess you it's too late since you're already living in a lawless city.
@@pandacub6164 I am not complaining about every sad issue because I am capable of focusing on the issue at hand, and that happens to be street vendors. My move is temporary and the comment is a warning. I would hate to see Santa Barbara turn into LA on any level.
So you're ignoring homelessness and crime because those issues are currently at hand. You still didn't answer my question as to which you'd prefer. Criminals? Or street vendors?@@cbeautifulworld11
These illegal vendors are problems in every city. Santa Monica also has a problems with these illegal vendors. You must fine these illegal vendors to teach them not to go there. They will continue to this if allowed.
This is not Mexico! You live here you play by USA rules. Yes,The rules suck for everyone but whats good for one us good for all. Its like the homeless crisis,You shut them down and they move to a different corner!!! 😅😅
If you're not going to enforce the laws then just revert to the old days and let everyone who wants to sell food on the streets do so. No more health departments needed. I'm thinking of starting my own food stall on the streets. Why not? It's so profitable. I don't have health permit fees. I don't have to pay rent. The start up cost is just a few hundred dollars. All I need is a propane tank and a griddle pan and I'm in business. That would be so awesome. Hell I'm gonna start one soon since there's no enforcement.
Exactly. I did farmers markets for years, until the health dept made it difficult to do so over petty violations. It was so frickin unnecessary to shut down a vendor due to some bs, like alledgedly incomplete ingredient listings on some homemade stuff, or giving out free samples.
THOSE HALAL CARTS IN NYC GOT LICENSES AND THEY AINT WASH THEY HANDS OR CARE TO DO ANY OF THE SHTTT YOU MENTIONED. HAVING A LICENSE DONT CHANGE NOTHING BUT YALL PAYING EXTRA TAXES TO THE STATE....
They should, the State is greedy and leeching off small businesses. Street vendors just practicing capitalism without all the bs redtape that feeds the greedy bureaucrats.
Good point, since they aren't permitted, when someone does get sick, there's no way to figure out which illegal food stand they got sick from. Especially because they just pack up and move their stand somewhere else.
how tf does that even work you can't get hepatitis from a street vendor if they cook the food. the only way you could get hepatitis is from alcohol or bacteria, or parasites. The food is cooked to a high enough temp that kills any germs or bacteria, or parasites that may be in the food. I the only other way which would not even be the vendors fault would be if your immune cells in the body started attacking the liver. Very flawed argument buddy.
We have so many street vendors in Southern California now a day and it’s unpermitted. It’s not fair to store owners who pays taxes and fine when they violate health department. Crossing the borders and coming to California running illegals food vendor, and it’s not fair thanks to Nuisance
So gross. There's a reason travelers are told If you can`t peel it, boil it or cook it, forget it. Turning streets into little Mexico or South America for the "authenticity" sounds great until you are keeled over with food poisoning, or spending the night in the privy. And the comments about lack of fire safety and temperature controls are spot on.
It looks just like Mexicos's streets, because you find food vendors in every conner. It seems like people found the way to make money that is not taxed and they do not even have to pay food permits, or licenses. That is already out of control and the state needs to take charge and clean the streets.
The garbage accumulated and scattered is disgusting. The grease grime and occupation of limited sidewalk space is unacceptable. We need a quality of life iniciative. Clean up beautify.
I'm not to sure but if the illegal street vendor is on private property, can they not be charged with Trespass and arrested? Under the terms of tress pass is that they are within 3 feet of a private restaurant or establishment. Meaning they can be even charged if on a driveway, street, a parking lot or even on the sidewalk. Blocking a sidewalk and forcing people to walk into the street with on coming cars is a hazard and can put the illegal vendors in prison/jail for about a week or longer depending on the charges. And as you can see, I do not think a single one of these illegal vendors can afford a lawyer anyway. So if an illegal vendor is on a private parking lot and not permited or NEVER got permission to go there, then the owner has the right to call the police and charge the illegal vendors with tresspassing. Or let the health department and the police department take away their carts. They can't do business if they don't have their items. Charge them with like a health violation. They do that a lot here in New Jersey.
They don’t follow health codes and don’t pay any taxes, one guy said he makes 2200$ in profit a week. I was got the runs from one of these guys food be careful where u eat at
But technically, where they are at is a public side walk. Even if they are in front of the sidewalk, that public it doesn't belong to the establishment of private property.
With the city needs to do is find these people and if you find them three times the third time you come in there and you take away all their equipment. This way they can’t reopen again without spending a crap load of money and if you catch them again you take it away again. These people are so used to their own countries that they don’t have to have these permits but yet they come to our country think they can do the same thing then we wonder why people are getting sick because coolers filled with ice do not hold the same temperature as a walk-in type cooler or region type of cooler.
Food trucks just roll into anyplace they please. Not good for brick and mortar restaurant business paying property taxes when food service vultures can pile in on your turf.
sorry to break the news to you buddy but not every mexican in the us is part of cartels and even if the food venders were with the cartels why would they sell food instead of drugs???
Yes and the assholes that don’t know how to clean their own house, mow their lawns, pick their own fruit, make their own food. If people want these people from coming here, then it’s time for us Americans to stop being so f-ing lazy. Like the good old days
The non legal street vendors are hurting restaurants who pay rent. The sidewalks are for people to walk on they are not for street vendors who pay no rent.

Clark County Commissioners don't look at the unsanitized food sold by the street vendors. Dust produced by traffic goes into the food. What is in the dust poop, vomit, chemicals, and other things in the form of dust? The restaurants lacked inspectors checking on them. What about the street vendors? I saw on the TV cutting fruit without sanitary conditions and refrigeration. Street vendors should be banned in the strip, schools, fast food establishments, outside food stores. The Clark County Commissioners want to increase the healthcare insurance that is already overpriced by Las Vegas residents and this is a bad practice permitting street vendors. The street vendors should move to California. Clark county commissioners should have a mall and refrigerators, bathrooms and sinks to wash the products and utensils inside of the environment to sell food, and not in the street. Not in Las Vegas streets.
“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” “Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.” you might wanna keep reading the bible bro 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Hey are these the same businesses that have been complaining about over regulation in ca? Fight fire with fire......lower your prices and set up street kitchens along side th estreet vendors if you have to! People like street food!
Cutting fruit without sanitary conditions like running water to wash the knife after each use. They should not have knives in public streets in the first place.
Nothing so good as a delicious street food seasoned with E Coli, salmonella that gives you food poisoning, a lot of vomit and diarrhea. If the vendor has a STD, or hepatitis, cannot wash his/her hands, your street food will taste even better. YUMMY! 😃 Go for it!
They're all over the Bay area as well. They even set up on Pier 39 as well as local residents! They move in with NO RESPECT for local business owners and set up shop in front of their business.
I guess California doesn't need for them to pay the taxes like others do. Come here illegally, start an illegal business, no problem. I bet if I set up a food table that my arse would be shut down in less than an hour and fined.
All these vendors need to be removed this isn't a third world country!! This is America and we have laws here if they are unhappy they can go back where they came from!!!, it's simple you have to have a driver's license to drive and car insurance they think their above the laws Wrong!!!!
Well I used to be a taquero,,, 1 hygiene of the workers from washing hands , restroom breaks anti bacterial gel it’s not enough washing the utensils to serve and prepare the food,2 the food it self quality of meats, expiration dates ,some places tend to save leftovers for next day not to mention that sometimes don’t even put it in the refrigerator,, and that’s just meat alone what about the salsas etc3 grease on the floor of the street brings roaches , street dogs who defecate close by,,trash of clients, trash of the taco stand,,, 4permits and I mean taxes not fair to other legimite places who pay all permits just to someone stand next to them I got more but I think I cover all the basics
While I applaud initiative, there is a reason that there are health standards in the U.S. when it comes to vendors. Legitimate food vendors pay a lot of money for permits, are safe serve certified, pay for health inspections and they follow the rules. Illegal food vendor ships shouldn't be rewarded for not following the rules, the problem with illegal food vendors is that there is no regulation on the kitchens that are preparing the food for sale to the public. Having worked in professional kitchens as a cook, I can tell you how easy it is for food borne illnesses to inhabit food. I worked as a cook in one cafeteria, where they had an exchange student from a middle eastern foreign country working. He was working the grill, he stuck his ungloved hand into a refrigerated raw meat drawer and pulled out a bloody burger, then stuck it on the grill to cook. In the next instant, he took his bloody ungloved hand and stuck it into the bun steamer and pulled out a bun. He took the bun that had the raw blood on it which his bloody hand had been handling. He put the cooked burger on the contaminated bun and tried to serve it to the public. I managed to remove the contaminated burger before it was too late and gave the customer a clean burger and bun. The middle eastern foreign exchange student became verbally abusive when he was asked to step down from his position on the grill, because we couldn't have him serving contaminated food to the public. Illegal food vendors aren't safe serve trained, therefore they follow their own food handling procedures. Procedures that aren't safe serve approved and can be dangerous to people consuming their food. Save a life, please don't buy from illegal food vendors.
Damn all those carts in one van?😂 There's definitely one dude controlling everything and making bank. Look at all the flower vendors, fruit vendors, taco stands. Each has the same setup, same product and same system and they all popped up one after the other. They'll continue to duplicate too but oh well its a cold world out here and people need to feed their families.
