I am also ISTJ 5w6 and what Natalie described is exactly how I felt about eating meat when I was young (I was a straight A student who got a C in Biology because I refused to dissect the frog). I have been vegan now for 27 years. People assume ISTJs are rule followers, but when something doesn't sit right with us we have no problem going against "society."
True. I’m an ISTJ and very opinionated and idealistic. That is our child (tertiary) Fi which is where we make our opinions and morals from. We are idealistic for child Fi in itself. Hope you’re having a wonderful day, fellow ISTJ! Also that was awesome that you stuck up for your beliefs. I myself wouldn’t have a problem doing that but I admire your courage to stand up for your beliefs despite the consequences.
You might then be familiar then with the youtuber 'Unnatural Vegan', PDB has classified her as an ISTJ too so you might find her extra relatable in her thinking and articulation.
It's interesting how Natalie Portman tries to create a warm aura and tries to extravert feeling, but because of her Te and Fi, she comes out as a little stiff! Beautiful person though :)
@@SaraMBTI I have a female friend that I have a hard time typing because I think she is a total ISTJ but after she accepted a job position were it is required to be very friendly she appears to be a feeler of some sort or even an extrovert to some people, but I keep getting the sense that she does it because she thinks it is her "duty" to do so. The reason why i`m more inclined towards ISTJ is that when she is in the grip or a exhausted she just shuts down emotionally, no big drama... otherwise I would consider INFJ.
I love Natalie, but she always seemed to me as a very cold person. I might be very wrong, but I always had that feeling about her. She reminds me of a harsh and very exigent teacher lol. She seems extremely proper too. Dunno, just my impression, I can be very very wrong lol.

You can check out the Vox article on a speech she gave for Women's March 2018; she talks about the rampant 'sexual terrorism' she experienced after her role in The Professional made her famous (at age 13), which motivated her to cultivate an image that would protect her. 😟💔
i know a lot istj and also intj who are vegan. one told me they are vegan, not because they care about animals but that they wouldn't want them to go through pain which obviously no one does, unless sociopath but I thought it was interesting. More or so she wouldn't want to eat the food knowing it went through pain
Plants react to stressors. The smell of a freshly-mown lawn is something of an alert or a call for help. No one seems to care about that. We decapitate cabbage, lettuce, and caulilower to use them, and that is certainly stress and suffering. Does something need a pulse for it to matter?
I only have a few acquaintances that did the Myers-Briggs test and I jnow their results. If anyone tried to guess the Type for people, I think it would be impossible. Ie: My wife was an actess and someone would say she is an out and out extrovert because of the things she used to do. But on the test, she is an Introvert. If you are trying to say what type these celebrities are, I would like to know how you arrive at that conclusion. I really would, because so many here talk about others that they couldn't possibly know the official Myers-Briggs type they are except by guessing. Which is rubbish :(
@@paulrichards2365 I had an acquaintance in college who kept a spreadsheet, he had 16 columns and would either figure out or guess everyone's MBTI and put them into one of the columns so he could look for trends. Crazy

For instance, here is my break-down as ISTJ: Introverted (I) 65.52% Extroverted (E) 34.48% Sensing (S) 72.41% Intuitive (N) 27.59% Thinking (T) 70.37% Feeling (F) 29.63% Judging (J) 71.88% Perceiving (P) 28.13% Another person might be Introverted but only 10%, Sensing but 100%, Thinking but 1% (Borderline Feeling) etc. The variations are too great to neatly 'box' people.

This is so me, People always say I am too serious as a person. But I feel chill I don't think that way, It's just how I communicate and it comes from nature. I dont arrange or plan to act like that hahaha. and I really hate any nonsense conversation or people who come to me with tons of information without data.

Ali Malik not necessarily. Te users also seek understanding. Te is basically your beliefs. Your beliefs come from Te and this is why xSTJs are more opinionated than other types. Also, same with xNTJs. Edit: also, Te wants clarity, consistency and understanding too. Ti is not exclusive of this.
I'm ISTJ and was vegan for 2 years, only stopped because my ENTP husband is not and I am also cooking for 2 kids. I am still dairy free and dont eat much meat. I also am a proponent of green lifestyle
My ISTJ friend is a devout vegan. Si-Fi will do that to you. As an INFJ, my inferior Se often brutally forces me to consume bacon and hamburgers, and I am completely unable to oppose it, sadly. ;) I resolve my conscience by only getting organic and free-range products.
Completely agree with you. It's just completely and utterly impossible for an S type to care about animals. I know this because I'm an INTP and we all know my type is the smartest. (Joking)
@@ThaleiaFantasywell thanks for the reply. That's eye opening my istj friend don't give a rats ass about animal pain and torture because we're above them in the food chain he says. He let's his cat kill birds for fun, and thinks it's cool.
My lovely ISTJ friend initially mistyped herself as INFJ, but she was definitely not. Same with Natalie - the two types can seem strangely similar considering that they have literally nothing in common. The Si reasoning of having to dissect an animal before you realise that it is cruel is nothing like Ni. On a surface level I have a lot in common with my ISTJ friend, but our brains are wired very differently.
