Something about this story always makes me shiver with excitement. I know Ford is a corporation but they seem to be making a huge commitment to the city of Detroit and I applaud them!
Carolin Clifford is SUCH A GEM Always a pleasure to see her doing the news casts ! MUCH SUCCESS to Ford hopefully their financial picture BRIGHTENS as it moves into the FUTURE the numbers haven’t been looking good as of late !
I like this. A new renovation that will give abandoned structures a new lease of life, and could be a first step to revitalize Detroit, although that will take quite a long time, because some may say that it is abandoned and will be because that's how its supposed to be.
Is there a date stamp on this??? Today is 2/14/2024. I'm really sick with "Covid", (i.e. "The flu"). My memory is "toast", so I ask that somebody bring me up-to-speed. I've seen most of the videos but don't know when they were shot. Your thoughts ?
Not quite the wording I would use to sell the idea though. "The Ford motor company has been in Detroit since the early 20th century. This station was used for many workers during that time frame and helped build the Ford motor company to the business you see today. Though are innovation may of made trains obsolete on mass scale, we still appreciate what this building means to us and we would like to keep the history or the building, but have it revamped for future endeavors. The history of what the building is and standed for will stay as a part of Detroit history. The Ford motor company is going to bring in new ideas and make it a think tank for future ideas and innovation". That's what I would've said to sell it.
Detroit’s focus on the automotive industry and the big 3 is what destroyed it the first time, why do we think it will be different this time? Detroit doesn’t need anymore auto focused infrastructure especially when younger generations, who are the future by the way, want public transportation/trains/trams
@Kenan Giroux part of my family, has been here since 1703. Some of them buried under that very neighborhood, no doubt. I know the neighborhood well. Appreciate the tip.
