Way cool. Many memories. When I was a kid in the 50s I regularly rode the Js. Powhatan Arrow, Pocahontas and Cavalier. I traveled the entire line from Cincinnati to Norfolk.

Those are all on my wish list for the coming year! I plan to preorder the newest big boy from Lionel. I still kick myself for passing on a triplex back in February at a local shop! 🥺 Oh well, just something else to look forward to…

I n scale railroading everybody models a particular section of a particular Railroad. Today's O'Jays railroads are more to just display everybody's favorite collection of engines. If you are modeling the Pennsylvania Railroad you would not have a big boy on your roster not prototypical. You would also not have a roundhouse for the steam engines with brand-new twenty-first-century diesel Electrics. No rhyme no reason no accuracy no authenticity. Just a stage for them to strut their stuff on like a model on a Runway
