in 2024 the RTX 50 Blackwell GPUs from Nvidia will release starting with the RTX 5090 & RTX 5080. According to new info the RTX 5080 may be releasing much sooner than we though. Not only that, but a fully unlocked RTX 5080 could bring much better price to performance to the GPU market.

It's early...any excuse to make it even more expensive. 30% increase performance, months earlier release = 40-50% price increase over 4080 original msrp = £1800+ what a joke

So you're telling me that my 4090 will be complete trash by the end of the year? Sweet! Time to toss it in the garbage and totally get a 5080 for $1k or less cuz it's such a good deal... oh wait, that's right, they're rushing it out, so the preorders are going to be bought out by scalper bots within seconds of them going live, so really they'll probably be $2k or more... and that's only if they're actually going to be $1k on release, which I have my doubts about. I can only imagine how egregious the pricing for the 5090 will be smh

Hopium bro. It’s going to be 1199 or 1299. And the 5090 will be $1999 for founders edition. Partner cards at 2199-2299. 5070 ti at 799 5070 for 599 5060 ti for 459 and 5060 for 399. The 5090 will probably be 40-60% faster than the 4090.

Worst case 5080 is gonna be $999 best case $899 no way its above 1k especially if its only 16gb of vram. 4080 was too expensive and they know it, They will probably try again at $999 and say wow same price as 4080 super such good deal, wouldnt be surprised if it then gets dropped to $899 when they bring out the rest of the 50 series cards

RTX 5080 should have 20GB.

It would make sense for NVidia to release 5080 1st due to China being 25% of their dGPU market. 5090 will be too strong for China (ban on exports) so NVidia would release 50 series with nothing for China for months missing on hype sales from new release. So it makes 100% sense for them to release 5080 that would be at most as fast as 4090d in compute and then 5090.
