IT Bites: Who You Used To Be Doesn't Disqualify You From His Calling 

This is tearing me up. I'm a Pastor that's begging God to help me overcome the stronghold of Jealousy and I feel disgusting. I need prayer and love and I'm begging to be healed and delivered so that I can complete the mission He sent me here to do. I've even had to be disassociated from my parent ministry. I truly need prayers. I needed to hear this. Thank you so much in Jesus name.

This is so good! It is a reminder to see ourselves as God sees us. He doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. He is so kind and loving! I think that people may take that and think that means they can do whatever they want because they are free and then use their imperfections as excuses to sin against God. But what you two are talking about is the posture of the heart. You can try and hide a lot of things but you can never hide your heart.

This is sooooooo needed. I've literally experienced the whole condeming myself part and then I look to God for assurance that He forgave that sin and the Holy Spirit is like "I Don't know what you're talking about."

I needed this sister. Keep me in your prayers as I do you. Lord both of my sons are special needs they require so much from me. Lord I continue to struggle in providing for them. Father God it is overwhelming and challenging. As a single mother I’m barely getting by. As I struggle to buy groceries and as I struggle to pay rent Lord give me courage to hold my head up because it’s hard on me Lord Jesus. Amen.❤️💕❤️

CORRECTION and I hope that Megan goes back and PUBLICLY corrects this - God will NEVER "force" us to do anything. He ALWAYS allows us to choose Him and His ways or our own way. Saul had been anointed as king, and was found among the prophets, prophesying and declaring God's works, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It was at this point, that he was "turned into another man". However, he got into trouble because he didn't wait for Samuel and offered to God the sacrifice that was ONLY to be offered by the Priest, not a king. After this, Saul understood God's order and I believe that he repented of what he did, and THEN God gave him another heart to do things His way. (I looked at Megan's facial expression when he said this and my face had somewhat of the same expression). Duet 30:15-16, 19; Joshua 24;15; John 1:12-13; John 3:16. "Study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workmen not ashamed, RIGHTLY dividing the Word of Truth". - 2 Tim 2:15... Kingdom Blessings!

Yes, I used to ruminate constantly, and I mean constantly. I am so much better now. In those moments when I could be consumed with rumination, I remind myself of God's grace, His love, and His ability to throw it in the Sea of Forgetfulness (when I truly repent) so that I can forgive myself and move forward. God did choose Saul after the Israelites continued to "demand" a king. I love how he explained why HE chose him.

❤So SO TRUE the Bible says 2Cor 10:5 we have to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ. It's HIS will that we prosper. When negative thoughts come to remind us of our past, that is the enemy trying to keep us SILENT, keep us in bondage. We have to think on Phil 4:8 and remind ourselves our past was a lesson, not a life sentence. God is faith and just to forgive.
