Plus, in my opinion, it is the most balanced br for the big three. US has ok armor and a stabilizer, germany has really good guns, and russia has good armor

​@@airsoftpopcorn Yup, I got to Tier 4 US and immediately stopped, Tier 3 is just so much fun and as you guys said has the best WW2 vehicles, nothing beats killing Tigers with Hellcats, the only problem is the goddamn R3-T20

Even then, you see some stupid vehicles from the 70's in Tiger/Panthers and M4's. 3.7 for the US is perfect as far as balance and fun, 4.0 is probably as good as it gets for Germany. After 6.0 and up things just get stupid... costs are ridiculous, gameplay loses complete balance and the maps aren't even big enough for the vehicles involved.

@@jkdoesthings6999 That's a good step. I played AB for the first 4-5 months, then played RB with Russia. I wouldn't recommend grinding USA past 5.7 unless you have millions of SL. Russia and Germany are the best options

It's almost like it has some semblance of balance. The fucking thing is better than a lot of comparable vehicles and has more armor. It's not as if the SU-122 doesn't have to also face HEAT light tanks. I cannot believe people still act like HEAT rounds aren't fair in the game when the armor on the Tiger II and Ferdinand and the like are all immune to conventional rounds frontally with few exceptions. God forbid those tanks be susceptible to something. And the CAS and HEAT stuff people complain about is every bit as much a problem for any fast HEAT slinger or comparable SPG. German players are spoiled is what I'm saying and they complain about anything that can defeat their armor. No armor meta makes the German players really upset every time.

@@adamg7984 I mean, the purpose of heavy tanks is so you don't get instantly penned at any angle, otherwise medium tanks are better overall. If you have stuff at 6.7 or lower that can be extremely mobile AND be able to pen any heavy tank at any angle, regardless of nation, it's pretty unbalanced.

@@LockeOG That's why they don't exist anymore. And most of what can kill heavy tanks has huge trade offs once again. Either play the medium tank if the heavy armor isn't good enough or be happy the heavy is immune to a lot of what it faces. Do you know how much worse in balancing it is to have a tank that can barely be hurt from the front? Because the Jagdpanther at 6.0 is a fine example when facing enemies lacking the 152mm or 122mm Russian guns or the M41 with APDS or something equivalent. Pretty much, unless you're Germany, the only things that can reliably kill you have to do so with significant trade offs like bad armor and being susceptible to CAS. Germany however has really well rounded tanks WITH excellent guns that people claim aren't all they're said to be, so their BR's are always baffling to me at least in the lower half of the tech tree. I say Germany because it's medium armor is able to reliably kill KV-1's and M4A5's and T14's and Churchill III's and is often better than the dedicated tank destroyers of other nations. They're the only nation that doesn't have something like the T-55E1 or M10 as their only higher penetrating tank/vehicle in a BR. And while Germany has things that are even better equipped in terms of weapons, most of those have trade offs. But the Panzer IV F2 and G being 3.3 is dog shit to me when they can penetrate on par with an M10 and reliably kill heavy tanks, have similar armor to an M10, roof protection, turret rotation faster than a sloth yet somehow gets the same BR as the M10. When clearly the M10 is worse in every regard but it's roof .50 cal. And heavy tanks are significantly better against bombs and CAS. The people who complain about HEAT and ATGM's never mention that. It's like people who play the Tiger expect to only face 75mm American and 76.2mm Russian guns. Can you imagine how fucking broken that is to have nothing able to hurt you frontally? Seriously, heavy tanks are already a massive issue to balance as it is, the fact people don't like their heavy tanks being susceptible to ANY weapon and only want flanking or CAS to be viable options, drives me crazy. How does that seem more balanced? Have you ever faced a team with a heavy tank that cannot be killed frontally? It's the most miserable experience you can have in WT, or it was to me since I did have games where that happened. Most things that can kill you have paper armor or bad reload times. They all have their positives and negatives, you have to deal with that and not play a heavy tank like it's armor is impervious but can buy you opportunities against certain enemies. You're talking about removing weapons that were literally created and designed with combating heavy tanks in mind. Why would that be more balanced? Most shit that can make short work of an IS-3 can be killed by the IS-3's 12.7mm machine gun.

@@adamg7984 my issue isnt with balanced tank destroyers like the jagdpanther, m10, isu122... It's things like the t114, ebr 1964 and ru 251 (upon similar fast light vehicles with a good heat shell) being found in 6.0 or even lower due to BR compression, that completely run rings around lower tier heavy tanks. You mentioned that you can machine gun them, but this only applies to 50cal (usa and exports) and some russian heavies with 14.5mm. The rest don't have that same capability. Gaijin has, as you are already aware, raised the BRs on these vehicles, but my problem is they keep wiggling back down 1 entire BR because of the MM and BR compression.

Now just multiply 20.000 with 631. That's still my favourite tank and the stats are the same of yours but the repair cost make it unplayable. Consider these good stats comes from the past, were your 200mm armor truly meant something. Today ferdinand is just a moving house full of silver lions that planes and modern tanks are going to penetrate full frontal even from 2km. Avoid this tank people, looks tick but with the actual meta his main strength has been deleted while his weakness still there.

Stats wise it’s a 6.7 vehicle tbh but the problem is once you pass that BR most things you face just ignore any kind of armor.Heavy meta is gone.

@@AFT_05G Well back in the day it was pretty much top tier material, now days it faces off post war tanks that all have HEAT-FS or some sort of high pen round. So that 200mm of flat armor counts for nothing, even a number of 5.0 tanks can technically pen it frontally.

I currently take the 250kg with me because my bomb aim isn't perfect but it's good enough. But sometimes the 50kg don't kill the enemys
