Squeaker becomes a recurring reference for the rest of the arc, his wife was pregnant and was going to tell him after this mission, and pretty much every time a new set of people from that race of pixies was introduced, they happened to know, ask about, and then mourn squeaker.
I was there when he got Squeaker. We grinded for hours to get him that bat! We had a party for when we got Squeaker! He was the best evade tanking BUFF/DEBUFF pet ever and saved us many times. 😢
@@gred_and_forge Omg that is such genius move I truly hope they can continue doing this for as long as they want I know I'll be here till my 60's at least!
this is funny as a joke but people taking it seriously haven't actually watched anything if they think Squeaker unironically had more than any actual character
@@Pokemaster-wg9gx Thing is that Squeaker here shows us a strength of SWE's SAO... Random acts of Continuity. There's no reason to bother fleshing out a background NPC 90% of the time in any series, but by doing so you can call it out later and make the world feel alive and people feel connected. The joke of Klein and Tiff in the final aincrad raid about being in an adventure Kirito wasn't? Yeah, makes them both feel like people with their own lives. The presence of Gary on the Fluffy Xenomorph's battle strategy gathering? Someone did exactly the same thing Charisma hat did to have backup and Gary got absolutely murked right there. The joke about SAO sexual content? It's a very real response to a traumatic event clashing with a sense of duty and a "I don't want to lose my job" situation. Random acts of continuity like this, with real consequences and place in the plot and whatnot are real hard to make, but man they make the story so much better.
@@Pokemaster-wg9gx Kirito in the original was a plank of wood, which is insulting the wood. Anyone who wasn't Kirito was either waifu #236 with next to no personality outside how thirsty she was for Kirito's dick, a male villain, or a male friend who either ended up dead or forgotten before the season ended, sometimes both.
I mean in sao they had that revival item for pets so bright side, since legitimately everything in ALO was stolen from SAO (except the perms death for players) there’s gotta be some spell or item to revive pets.
Lil bit of joy for my heart. But yeah, tbh, the pet death mechanic is just shoddy. No auto revive after a set amount of time or out of combat time was a pretty sad design, like most of the SAO game.
Yeah I get very violent anytime my pets get hurt in any game I hade a parrot I carried around in one of my older Minecraft worlds I was just exploring and a skeleton shot my parrot let's just say that part of the world would never recovered
Bro I played ark heavily as a teen, there is nothing sadder than the giga you meticulously raised for 27 real days, checking on it every 3-8 hours for max stats, getting chomped out in a dumb way. When my first died I just disassociated
Imagine squeaker dies just before the man says “squeaker did great” and squeaker just forever thinks they failed. edit: very sorry for traumatizing people in the comments
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. X) Squeaker asks with it's dying breath if it did good, and the last thing it hears is "No, Sqeaker did not do good." lol
@@zacharydye9613 Hey, people can get emotionally attached to digital pets as it is. A cute, helpful one in a VRMMO you could actually *touch* and pet? I can't see people *not* getting attached.
I really love what you guys do. You add personality to seemingly insignificant side characters, and the world feels much more alive. Like Squeakers here. It was just a spy familiar or something similar, but here, it is effective as a comedic tragedy because of how relatable it is to get emotionally attached to digital pets, especially when said digital pets in this world are simple, yet seemingly sapient with simple wants and desires.
A VRMMO would make a lot of digital characters so much more emotionally significant to people. Imagine Gacha games, but in a VRMMO and the Girls (you KNOW it will be girls) has a semi-custom AI.
The people aren't the monsters. The last few seconds showed that. Their leadership is fucked, for creating that policy or procedure. This is why AAR comments matter, people
Tbf, the dog's name is Biscuit. And since brown is a very common coat color for dogs, let's go with chocolate covered Biscuit. Also, since her only form of "exercise" is going on a rampage on the support staff, eating Biscuit is probably her only form of prison food.
In 15 years when SAOA catches up to the War of Underworld arc, revenge for the death of Squeaker will be the motivation for all of those events happening
xD I swear to freaking God the abridged series, on its own, is hilarious and you guys make it a hundred times better with these custom captions! Please do more, I absolutely love SWE's content! REALLY keeps me looking forward to the next episode of your abridged series'!
And that it just gets so much more quotable than the real series that had a harem sub-theme going for it. My favorite part of SAO:A is the 'My numbers, are bigger than yours. get to a high enough level and your basically untouchable. ' scene.
@@brodenhammel3883 By far, my favorite scene in the abridged was when Kirito smarted off to Kaiyaba in the Skull Reaper's room by sounding like Eric Cartman! xD Freaking priceless, and the fact that he used so much D&D terminology just gave me hardcore "Stick of Truth" vibes, and that made me lmao at it even harder!
Damn, this ending got me feeling 😭 In the 39 seconds that I met and came to know of Squeaker, I am invested in the character and emotionally distraught.
@@scottydemonkingbeatbox1667 Sword Art Online. It's the show that got me into anime in 2014. The original show is far more serious than the abridged version, but SWE did a great job with the comedy.
