He was still in Calgary when he filmed this. Doesn't warm up as quick there. Ren had undiagnosed Lyme Disease. He was bitten by a tick to contract it when he was 19. It took 7+ years of misdiagnoses and doctors giving him medication he didn't need while the effects of Lyme Disease (and side effects of the incorrect medications prescribed) continued to ravage his body and mind that he is still receiving treatment to help minimize the years of it going unfettered. It wasn't until the stem cell transplant happened that he started to feel more like a functioning human. He goes in-depth of this battle in his Chapter episodes he released leading up to the release of this song.

REN had auto immune disease from Lyme.

Ren promised if he recovered enough to make music again he would not forget the people with chronic pain and illness still struggling. He released this for May Millions MISSING month Ren lost years of his twenties often unable to get out of bed or his room Severe pain and fatigue with brain fog and visual disturbances The pain got so bad he had hallucinations psychosis Unfortunately people have been interpreting his lyrics about this time as depression only Depression was a reaction to the illness not the other way around He only got his Lyme disease diagnosis 7 years into this time He researched the path to this diagnosis because the doctors were no help and told him it was all in his head. This is gaslighting experienced by many with these illnesses This song is an attempt to explain as clearly as possible that the medical community needs to start paying attention Its also a 🔥song, as is the acoustic version Were both filmed February in Calgary Canada He has been living there for 18 months getting daily treatment to heal damage and conditions left from the tick bite he got as a teenager Lyme disease is a chronic condition which will have to be managed probably for life. Ren is now in England for the Summer

Prof and Ren collab coming July 12, called Pain Salesman. Waiting for the release date for the Ren and Chris Webby Collab. Ren also announced first song from his new album (the album is titled Slaughterhouse) coming next month and has also teased maybe new Tales coming soon. 💙

I'm always game for a Ren song. The acoustic version of this song is even more impactful. When he was so sick, he was looking for stories of thise that got better. This is him fulfilling a promise to help thise still living in the darkness.

I know it’s pretty much a trend now but I’m interested to see you react to the Drake and Kendrick beef starting from like that. I’ve wondered since you had to step away if you would come back and do it. I’m fairly new to the channel so I’m not sure what type of content you react to yet.
