I tend to agree. Picking up the STL tones josh middleton did it for me. I have a 6505 plus with a randall 4x12 with v30s. Sounds amazing in the room, but couldn't quite get the tones i was looking for.
Just clicked your link, got the bundle and love the rhythm and lead plugins, going to try the bass soon but yeah the free trial sold me and just wanted to say thanks man, anything that makes me play more and sounds great is always a welcome addition!
I went ahead and got Trivium ampknob, your video was the first one I seen about it then everyone did video about them. I've never had luck with other plugins I've tried but now I'm finally recording with a sick tone! All your tips have always helped me so thanks!
Kyle I love everything you do here on the channel but I gotta say I really enjoyed sitting through a writing process. Kinda gives me some inspiration. If you can make it happen bro, I’d love to see more of this!
I can't state how helpful and inspiring this video is! I've been trying to find band mates for like 5 years both local and online and I've kinda given up for now and just started doing everything myself. I have a buddy online who does vocals for me when he has free time which is immensely helpful because i have too much anxiety to even attemp singing myself 😂 my mixes don't have bass though because I can't afford a decent metal bass and I should probably upgrade my shitty guitar first 😂
When adjusting midi, you can just press delete on keyboard when you have the notes selected, or mouse over both and make a box and delete them both at once. BTW that bass sound is killer. Nice. Gonna have to buy this plug in man. And HELL YEA we def want to see more idea song builds in video. This is it man!
Thanks.. Now im buying my first Audio Interface and installing a DAW on my laptop and try some...just what I need ..spend money experimenting..ive only ever just played amps-pedals-cab..oh ya i only have 4x12's so i suppose headphones too...i live on 10 acres too...gotta get home internet too...$$$
It’s truly wild. I sold my drums off once I got ez drummer because I could do whole songs in the box with plugins and a few minutes and they sounded half decent. It’s a great time to be alive. 🎉 sick video
great Patience, I use xdrummer, and have had everything from alesis sr22! To real drummers to tracking and sampling …. Sample tone or Kaossolater beats! Great Demo and Informative in depth turtorial
It would be great if you could just do a tutorial on how to record guitar using Reaper, going through the whole process of mixing, eq, compression, mastering. Using plugins is for kiddies making edm. Reaper is an awesome DAW that is almost free and very powerful.
Have you tried clicking your metronome and clicking 2 bar count in so you don’t have to constantly go overtop of other riffs you can punch in right where you want. Unless you prefer if that way.
Kyle, (or anybody) how do you record your signal without it sounding like hell? Podcast equipment? iPhone into laptop? Interface into DAW? I can't get a clear signal at all . Need some advice.
Do you mean your direct guitar signal? I plug my guitar straight into my interface. For setting the level, I activate the record button in Reaper to help. I adjust the gain on my interface to get the guitar signal to land in the -9 to -12 db range. That range has worked for all of my guitar plugins. For Neural or ML sound lab I leave the input level at the factory setting. In the standalone plugin, I bring up the output level to match Guitar Pro or whatever I'm playing to. In Reaper, I will fine tune the track level with the mixer instead of the output level. Just make sure the output of the plugin is staying out of the red and not clipping
@@Andy_Yates awesome. Thank you for the advice. I'm recording through a zoom r24. But Im planning to go through Reaper. Normal podcasting equipment and ect isn't made to accept the saturated compressed signal of guitars.... the Roland go Mixer is. That's an option also and easy to manage. Thank you for the advice 👍🏻 I appreciate it
you should get a digital kit and run it through ez drummer or superior drummer, then instead of programming, you're just playing and recording your midi.
Kinda lame to take away so many job opportunities from drummers. Remember that when programmable guitar starts sounding realistic and no musicians can get jobs at all anymore. Why help feed the beast?
I spent the last 10 years becoming a wizard at programming drums, mixing them and achieving what sounds like a drummer sat down and was recorded, but the outlook where my song will be lost in a sea of obscurity with the other 50,000 original songs uploaded that day has led to more procrastination. Ironically, I've made the top 50 on N1m globally, not nationally or state based *which is really difficult to do.* In the end, my sentiments remain "2 heads are better than 1" and I'd rather just work with an actual drummer. Ultimately, I need to stop making excuses and release some legit songs again!
