Holy crap, I never noticed how in this clip, John Travolta is trying to mimic the way Nicolas Cage talks, the way he says "where's his body? I wanna see his body." As a kid watching it on VHS so many details were lost on bad TV and tape. Like when the voice starts breaking and Nicolas Cage has John Travolta's voice. And of course the actors doing impersonation of each others mannerisms.
Screaming is not necessarily overacting. He handled the charismatic deliverance of that line while screaming perfectly. I'd say overacting is when someone tries hard to bring maximum acting but their charisma breaks, similar to how a voice cracks. Milla Jovovich in Joan of Arc is the perfect example for both. Oh God I regret rewatching that yesterday...
