I am pretty sure one of the bookclubs for r/fantasy is reading Godkiller in May, so if you read that in May and joined the discussion it would count for that. Thats what I am planning to do.

Alliterative title: Haunting of Hill House, When Women were Dragons Bard: The Stray Spirit Romantasy: This Gilded Abyss by Rebecca Thorne (More Sci-fi), The Woods All Black (More Horror) Dark Academia: Bunny, Ninth House (if you haven't read it yet!) Published in the 1990s: Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb

I've been doing the rounds with everyone's bingo plans and just saw Bewitched Becs mention Tempest of Tea contains a heist so you should be good for that one. I strongly considered Grey Bastards as well, hope that one lives up to all the recs.

I’m stoked I have an indie book that will work; it’s called Down Below Beyond by T.A. Bruno. I just picked it up at an indie bookstore. And it only has 76 ratings and 41 reviews on Goodreads. And even if all y’all run and read it and change that number I’m still counting it. 😅

Not for everyone, but I feel a HM book for Dark Academia would be Poppy War. I won’t be using it, as I’m in the second book and already read PW twice. But the school in the book is not for the magical, it’s to train for war.

Poppy War could be dark academia, it’s definitely dark and it’s set at a school for the most part. I loved that series, I hope you enjoy it!

For the 90’s prompt, I’ve seen Assassins Apprentice by Robin Hobb mentioned - she’s apparently published a short story in the last 5 years. Also, and I’m not sure why nobody has mentioned this (this is at least the 7th of these videos I’ve watched) Stephen King should probably have multiple options.

I’ve seen that too, I’ve read the first book but, wanted to try something else! For Stephen King I only have one of his newer releases but, I’m not a big horror fan 😂

The Green Mile was published in the 90’s - If you’ve ever seen the movie with Tom Hanks, the book is almost exactly the same except it tells you what everyone did to be on death row and how all the characters died in the end.
