Regarding travel very wise words. Devastating news but we have to remain positive. Chris is constantly updating me so the very best wishes for Wednesday Ed
Eddie , I have Lymphoma cancer , and was diagnosed in October 2019 , the said they could treat it but not cure it, oh yeah I thought , I've heard that before , but here I am 6 years later , still working and living life to the full , I don't drink anymore , but besides that I am feeling good , so don't give up hope , try and stay strong , and god bless and save you mate
My father was diagnosed with cancer in his 40s, and he passed from cancer at the age of 87. Eddy's cancer, though, seems highly aggressive; I hope it wasn't caused by something that many of us were practically forced to get.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumour in Pattaya Memorial over 6 years ago. I came back to the UK and had it removed. So there is always hope. I thought I was a goner but still around.
@wrren101 Hang in there brother. I had my malignant tumor (glioma) removed in 1994, and I'm also still here. It's a brutal diagnosis, that is all what i can say. I think the outcome for Ed will largely depend upon which type of tumor he has, and how successful the resection will be. From my own experience, he may also have to learn to think "outside the box". 'Ben Williams’ Protocol' comes to my mind.. Edit: I will probably retire to SEA next winter..
Eddy I have 2 types of cancer and yeah we fight it. Your speech is the best I've heard from you in quite a while. Good luck with the operation and God Bless.
I heard new information that operation went well and surgeon was pleased with the results. That is good news. I’d love to see you healthy and traveling again. Stay strong and positive Mr. Sweeney!!!
Hey Eddie 👋 A good friend of mine was diagnosed with small cell brain cancer 3 years ago. (He's 64) His treatments were chemotherapy and radiotherapy, this reduced the cancer to almost nothing, hes now recieving immunotherapy once a month. His condition is remarkable, hes fit, dancing, fishing and carrying on with life as before. We were all pessimistic 2 years ago. Don't give up eddie, a positive mental attitude is paramount. Wishing you the best 💪💪💪
Thanks for your comments. My best friend for 50 years was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer today. It’s good to hear your friend is doing so well 3 years on.
If it’s such an aggressive cancer, how come you are looking and sounding better than ever? You are gonna survive this. I have no doubt. Best of luck mate.
My little brother had a tumour in his brain that turned out to be cancerous, removed, recovered, returned again, removed again, recovered again and so far cancer free for at least a year. Fingers crossed for you Eddie 🤞🤞🤞
My father only made it to 1 week after his 60th birthday, and he did not have anything close to the experiences you did. Whatever happens, you did really good buddy. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Im 43 now, and retiring very very soon. Im listening to your advice 🙏
My brother had a big motorbike accident and had to have major head surgery at Derriford and they were fabulous and put him back together so he can live without any effects. Keep going we are all with you and are sure you will beat this.
Eddie, they always give the worst case scenario, have faith in the Doctor / Surgeons. I was the full time carer for my mum who fought the big C for over 15 years, Breast Cancer twice, then Bone Cancer, before she succumbed. Remember things always look the darkest just before the light. Cheers, happy thoughts and good wishes from Paul in Perth Australia.
Ed DO NOT GIVE UP! Have the operation and get it out they will probably follow it up with Cemo and Radio therapy. Lots of people make a full recovery mate, there is no reason you can’t be one of the people who makes a full recovery! We are rooting for you!
Hang in there. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and given 3-6 months to live and after one round of chemo has been doing well and its been 3 years already. Sending prayers.
Eddie you’re being incredibly stoic. However let’s get this surgery done ASAP and go from there with whatever follow up treatment that’s required. Onwards and upwards and you are in my thoughts along with over 50k subscribers as well. There are more travel journeys ahead of you mate. First things first.
Eddy! You gotta get well, You can allways go to Benidorm! I have been thru 2 rounds of cancer, and 2 heart attacks, with 5 stents, Its a mental game to think positive, and know you will get well. Prayers!
Be Positive Ed I’m in Australia and been watching you for years You have millions of fans around the World wishing you all the best For the joy and fun you have brought us for so long in your video’s Take Care Old Mate 👍🏼
I am very sad to hear that Ed. My superior had the same aggressive braincancer. He had 2 surgeries (without any physical disabilities after them) and 7 more good years. Thank you for your advices and the entertainment and informative travel vlogs. See you in the next Video.
You are in our prayers, I have lived and worked in China, Malaysia , Thailand, Ireland and UK.. I am 61 with COPD GERD hypertension diabetes depression anxiety attacks APNEA morbid obese mobility issues.. We are both facing challenges... Eddie we are with you and look forward to the weekend up date ..God Bless see at the weekend!!!
Hi Ed.If the doctors thought that you don't have a chance to make some degree of recovery they wouldnt operate . Please stay focused on your dream of further travel and adventures . Just remember when you go for the operation you are not alone as you have the force of will of 50,000+ friends behind you ! Very best wishes Ed 👍 👍 .
@@PokeEyeSlapSlap No Doc just looking at STATISTICS!! And the deafening silence.....Or the successful Court cases.....Or the withdrawl of the vaxx. Or the scientific proof. Take your pick.
You're on NHS time, Ed. Yes , you're now still traveling but between wards. Wait until after the operation and you will know for definite. You need to be positive. You are now starting to repeat yourself
Eddie , Glioblastoma grade 4, eddie once you have had your operation and your after care begins Eddie don't forget what I said about CHC , its continuing health care eddie, it's funded by the NHS you will qualify for it Eddie, Brain tumour/brain cancer Eddie, you will be classed as complex care patient Eddie, once they have a package of care in place for you eddie, no matter about your financial situation eddie. You will come under complex care x❤ stay strong eddie.x
Ed what bastard that the dancer has taken hold, you sound positive ol'china i've had a few years of being hit with poor health ,but iam feeling much better this last 5mths but still can't fly,but i'm 80 in 2mths started my S.E.A. when i was 40,iam so happy that i did all those trips 40+ memories mate ya can't beat them. i will light a candle steady for you all the best
Jesus Christ Eddie that's not good. I feel like you're a mate. I'm saying it's for a tear in my eye. Don't go anywhere. Stay strong. All you can do but you've actually influence me and I'm out there travelling and living life to the most. I'm 60 and I'm going everywhere, I've been around the world couple of times but I'm going to South America a lot of places especially after watching this video. You've changed my life and I'm quite sure you've changed a lot. Lives. Well done and good luck and stay strong.
God Bless. Thank you Eddie for everything that you have given us. I always look forward to your videos , especially the chats during lockdown. I sincerely wish you all the best. Barry.
Brilliant advice about not waiting to live life!!! This is your best message to date. Speaking of your situation, I’m amazed how long it’s taken them to figure out or at least tell you what is really going on. I think realistic expectations are better than fairytales, and the truth is, the end of the road is probably near. However keep fighting and remember you’ve still got time to leave an additional mark on this world. I hope whenever I’m faced with a similar situation, I do so as well and bravely as you have.
You’re a bloody inspiration Eddie…. You really are mate. I’m in a similar position to you health wise ( sadly there’s no operation that can cure me). Mine came on suddenly just like yours back in May whilst travelling around Bulgaria. The one thought that brings me massive comfort is “Thank god I travelled”…. Your attitude will get you through this Eddie so hang in there mate.
hi Eddy, I have met fellow scousers in bars all over SE Asia and every blinking one has had a serious heath problem story to tell me.... heart attacks, cancer, diabetes..and brain operations.. but somehow through sheer stubbornness they get though.. good luck son..cheers 👍
Sorry to hear this Eddy, although I'd thought this was perhaps the case, especially when I heard it had grown so quickly. At least you are thinking positive and have made so many memories with your travels over the past 30 years. Memory is the yesterday that gives us courage for tomorrow. 🙏🍀
I love your travel videos and the fact that you have been doing it every year of decades. I started late, not until I turned 50, but I've been doing it in SE Asia for the past 15 years. All the best Eddie! Still love your videos, even these ones.
Wise words. I hope the surgery goes well and you enjoy “Steady” improvement. I was diagnosed with cancer a year ago at age 69 and I’ve done well by following treatment. Looking forward to return to SE Asia next year.
Totally agree Eddy I am almost 40 and living everyday like it's my last. Traveling as much as possible. I know when I get old it can very unpredictable and many guys I come across in their senior years look in rough shape and bad health. My grandpa lived to 100 after some health scares in early 60s but was very active, stopped eating junk food, alcohol, etc and lived a very good life into senior hood. Hope for successful surgery 🙏
I am 60 Ed started traveling at 20 made sure I did it all before the bad news comes. I know people who have never been beyond the Co-op and all they say is they never lived. You will be alright, slow recovery but you will make it. Sorry Ed there asking about if you want the operation as all operations carry risk! Some people want time to sort out there affairs. My sister lived 15 years after her diagnosis. Praying for you.
You have lived a life full of travel and adventure, and it's clear that you have many cherished memories. Your reminder to live our dreams resonates deeply with me and I'm sure many others. Your outlook, despite facing such difficult circumstances, is a testament to your resilience and strength. You are an inspirational man Eddy.
@@douglasgreen437My thoughts exactly. He and others, like Stallone, think that they are real heroes. And sadly, treated and applauded as such. Kind of sick.
Ed, we’ve never met but your courage and stoicism in facing this head-on, not fearing what’s to come but being thankful for what’s gone before truly makes you a hero. It’s only when facing the darkest times that someone’s true character is revealed and you’ve passed that test with flying colours. That being said, you can still beat this! I think everyone watching this would love to buy you a beer in Thailand one day in the future. Good luck to you and hope they get that op done on schedule.
You'll get through this Eddy keep the head up, stay strong and you'll be back living life to the full in now time. I'm 35 been watching you for 4 years now and you've inspired me.
You have been an inspiration since I first subscribed to your channel eddy about 3 years ago I think..I have been lifted by those streams..and you are still an inspiration from your hospital bed..fantastic attitude you have..praying this goes well for you ..❤
