Kid Arino actually reminds me of my friends chiming in with "How'd you do that?" or "Oh, there's a pickup on the right." or something similar. The entire purpose of the game seems to be to bring back buried memories of those late nights with friends and siblings, and it seems to work.

# 001 One time during our Christmas week, My cousin and I had played Metal Gear Solid 2, and we spent all day trying to beat it. It was around late night when we were near the end. We were Just about to fight the army of RAYs. Victory was in our grasp! Then my mother came into the living room where we were, and was giggling menacingly. My cousin knew what's up with her, we were protesting tk not shut off the the PS2. But then she had the audacity to bump into the PS2 and had "accidentally" hit the power button.... Now normally this wouldn't be too bad if we had a memory card. Except.....you know......WE DIDN'T HAVE A GODAMN memory card. So yeah, you can imagine how at a loss we were. She did it mainly to troll my cousin because they were playing pranks earlier that day. But damn that was so soul crushing. We did manage to beat the game the next day. My mom couldn't troll us since she had to work that day. Good times...

This definitely is a nostalgia trip. Sleepovers at my buddy’s house where we would load up a Genesis game and just blitz through it until we couldn’t stay awake. Good times.

Fans have made efforts at sub-titled translations and getting it easily available to those outside of Japan. Alas, the show is aware of this and has been somewhat actively shooting down all those translated episodes.

Some of controllers I bought used where smashed so hard, I had to solder in some wires to bypass the broken parts of the circuit board.

Reading this comment is really interesting to me. Personally I quite liked the racing games and thought the RPG was an utter pace breaker. Goes to show how diverse opinions can be I suppose.
