I got a bachelors in Biology 10 years ago. Back then, I didn’t think we would be having a debate on what is male and female and redefining biology as a whole. Like, wtf? 🤨
I just had an epiphany that the past va xxes did this to them. There is no other explanation. This did not exist before. What the current va xxes are doing now, makes it make sense. We've always been part of experimentation since the very first va x in the 1700s. The end always seems to justify the means, especially when people have forgotten the means. I'm a data analyst, and would like your thoughts.
If Gender doesn't even exist why even measure or count it. Who cares if 90% of people in a particular field have testicles if gender doesn't matter and doesn't even exist. To even count and measure the numbers would then be racist. The very premise is BS and a lie.
I can respect the fact that the kid simply said “Okay, thank you.” after Ben made his point. 👏🏽 He asked a question, got the answer, and walked away respectfully! That doesn’t happen very often anymore.
In any debate if you're loosing the conversation. The loosing side usually turns to cursive, non factual criticism or just blatant attack verbal or even physical. And "fact" is since last 10 years especially the left side of political spectrum is loosing side mostly. I feel like since the golden times of Barack Obama in office (who had his flaws) was the best "left" leader they could offer and now they cannot for the life of them put someone "better" then him in office (sleepy joe is sleepy 😪). Its just what it is. Joe Biden sucks.
@@words007 On RU-vid shock videos, this is accurate. You always want to edit and select scenes that will get the biggest reaction from viewers. In real life, we're not always attacking eachother for every disagreement. FaceBook though ... yeah it's pretty terrible. Disagree with someone and they'll jump down your throat and say all sorts of mean and personal things to you.
Seriously...look at the terrorist state of Israel and the evils of zionism little Ben holds so dear...yet he wants to go after transgender insanity. Just playing his zionist role and he is just another tool of division in the criminal left vs right political scheme.
I'm not a Republican. I'm not right wing. I'm not particularly conservative. But I find myself more and more frequently siding with Ben - this bizarre country we live in is just ridiculous
I'm a independent myself and don't always agree with Ben on certain subjects either. But this topic is just common sense. You simply cannot force people to bend to your will because you want to deny reality around you. Forcing your will on other folk makes you an oppressor. Society has degraded so badly we have people arguing against biology. Trying to redefine and reconstruct basic anatomy and advocating for foolish ideals that puts literal women and children in the crossfire of their perturbed mind set.
You're not alone. I've been a liberal most of my life up until very recently. Marched for BLM, lived and been friends with trans in co-ops. But BLM turned out to be a scam and this trans ideology is clearly a creeping and insidious atheistic religion since it believes in some sort of spirit/ego beyond the physical body, and that the body should be maimed and constantly dosed into pharma drug slavery in the name of "Love and Acceptance." Real Love is Truth, Real Love accepts who we truly are beyond the limited desire filled and fickle ego. Grooming children and encouraging them to maim and drug themselves will always be evil. We should be helping youth find self-esteem and Love and Accept their bodies for who they actually are. If you look up people like Alfred Kinsey and Dr. John Money who originally started pushing all these perverse views and coining the terms/language the Trans community used in the scientific and medically community, I recommend you prepare yourself mentally, because the root of their work and minds are filled with horrors that are hard to comprehend, since it beyond any realm of human decency. I realized there have been a lot of unfounded Ad hominem attacks on Ben and others. I'm not as conservative as Ben, but when it comes to defending the Innocence of Children and the Rights of biological Women, on this we can agree.
Yea, he just walked out and couldn't take any more. When truth speaks you cannot rebut it because how can you prove truth is a lie. They sure try and with people who don't have a mind as sharp and knowledgeable as Ben they have small victories. Many times though, they will default to mindless slogans or repeating insults, when they have no way to prove truth is a lie.
Whether you agree with this young man or not, you have to give him credit for not coming in with a chip on his shoulder and an abrasive attitude like most of the people do. He asked his question without reading from his cell phone and listened to Ben without interrupting him. Thank you, sir, for showing respect and civility.
@Lynn Amadeus But we all know that, nowadays, being respectful is the exception to the rules, especially among college students who come to these events.
I loved him and I think unlike most, he wanted to hear an answer, he wasn't up there looking for a chance to publicly ask a question then put his fingers in his ears. I dont know why so many if these kids ask, because they have no intention of listening
Yep, he definitely went about this in the right way. He was well-spoken and not just looking to get offended after bringing up a controversial subject matter.
Why do they care if others don't accept them. Have to be confident in your own skin . Should not need a flag or t shirt to identify your self if you are a confident person.
@@beverlythompson7046 I'm not sure why they care.. They think they need to stand in the road holding a sign like we give a damn what their choice is in life...
The kid did not "lose" a debate. He asked for clarification, interjected a bit and walked away with his head held up. Hope he did not feel embarrassed; because he behaved like a gentleman.
Everyone who believes as Ben does has every right to speak out and truthfully about what they believe and how they think. The left woke don't have any rights to control us and our opinions, thoughts and beliefs.
This young man is a product of proper education with a very stable family up bringing who has great respect and values. His parents did a wonderful job with him and a child to be proud of.
Comments like these are so weird. Like how do you know a single woman didn’t raise him? How do know he didn’t grow up poor and struggling and that’s how he learned to maintain his composure and have civil discussions? This is just such a weird assumption.
@Steve Doud there is no evidence anywhere of anyone changing their biology at will. A man can identify as a woman to be sure. And vice versa but, he is still a male biologically. I'm sure hetero attraction is a disorder to some people. Not what we're talking about really but, ok.
I'm telling you as a gay dude I agree. It's just become so ridiculous how we have to abide by these terms that sometimes contradict each other and just to make someone feel better. All these wacky personalities because of what they say they're identified as. It's just so complicated for anyone to keep up. I've even seen supporters attacking each other because a slip up.
Yes. And it's important to have a stable society, or people can't feel safe to participate. But one that overreacts to everything like everyone needs to please everyone else, I don't think fits that description.
It really is,especially with gender fluid people,I had a friend who was gender fluid and went by she/her when she was herself and he/him when she went by her masculine personality. One day she was wearing a dress and had makeup on and I called her by her actual name and she slapped me and cussed me out saying I was “degrading her” and that I was offensive and disgusting and disrespectful. I didn’t know what I did wrong but how was I supposed to know she was going by her masculine personality when she was dressed very feminine?? It’s extremely confusing and hard to keep up with these pronouns
Well if it wasn’t for trans women neither of u would have rights for being gay! Remember that! Trans women threw the first blow that started the stonewall riots. Not you all! So if u think it’s so hard to refer to a trans person by what they want to be called then how would u feel if people still referred to you a fa0ts! They don’t because of the fight trans started.
And besides being gay is not the same as trans. So wtf gives you the right to speak on how trans feel or how they should be treated. Worry about gays and your rights. Not trans!
Yes. There was no circling around, trying to attack from different directions, hoping that Shapiro would fall for a trap. This should be the default position in every argument but sadly we don't see that any more. Bravo, random guy in leather jacket.

Im teaching pronouns now, the whole preferred pronouns trend is going to confuse kids. I keep it out of my lessons. Sally is a girl her pronoun is she/her. Billy is a boy his pronouns are he/his. They/them is reserved for groups of people. End of discussion.
Idk if y’all learned this too or not, but I also learned to refer to an individual (whom you do not know the gender of) as they/them. I don’t mean you use it when they don’t specify what their gender is, I mean you use it when you literally know close to nothing about the person. For example: “Can I bring my friend?” “Sure! What’s their name?” Idk did y’all learn that too? (btw I learned it in a small rural elementary school in the Midwest so it’s not like it’s an indoctrination thing, I’ve heard people call it that before)

At least the kid had an intelligent question without being aggressive and defensive like most people who talk to Ben. And this is what a respectful discussion sounds like.
My bestfriend was asked on social media what his pronouns are. He replied with "straight". His gf, now ex gf, my crush for almost ten years until two years ago, now my arch nemesis got mad at him. I've never been more proud of him.
The problem with Ben, which is really called out, is that he is allowed to define the position of whatever group he is speaking out against that day. In this case trans people. He almost always mischaracterizes the position, creating one that is much easier for him to argue against. Ben Shapiro has made himself famous speaking with confidence on topics he knows very little about.
@@Thaco69 He speaks in facts and certain people hate that. You claim he is speaking on subjects he knows literally about but couldn't name a single thing he said that was wrong. And Ben is not the one redefining terms to fit a perceived comfort level. If he did, he would be the transgender.

@@karmafilmsnm I have a different theory. Back in my day, when children misbehaved in public or in private, they were spanked. Don't confuse that with people beat their children, there IS such a thing as going too far... but a reasonable spanking was enough to teach the children that your actions have consequences, and sometimes those consequences are dire. Pain is a useful tool. It has been for millennia. Let me veer off topic for a second here and talk about nunchucks. The way you learn to be an expert with nunchucks is by practice. You swing them around, and you WILL hit yourself with them. It causes pain, and you quickly learn what to do and what not to do, what your limitations are, and the penalty for being stupid. Back on topic, this applies to a lot of things in real life. Pain is a reminder from your body that you could be in danger if you keep doing what you are doing, and discipline is a reminder that pain is the consequence to stupidity. Now, second part of this theory is that we as a society have become weak. Not just because people don't discipline their children anymore, but because people no longer understand respect. It is popular to be a rebel these days, go against the grain. Young people CRAVE attention from the internet, social media, friends, family... but they often don't get this at home anymore. Acting out has always been a cry for attention or for help. And while they crave attention and are willing to do anything to get it, even commit crimes on camera, they do it all for selfish and self-serving means. You also have people who have to clean every surface 4 or 5 times a day to ensure 99.9% germs are dead and your immune system has nothing to practice on. Then you wonder why people get sick really easily. Go outside and eat some dirt as a child. Swim in the lakes filled with sewage and other nasty things. Don't wash your hands after touching every unclean surface. Trust me, your body will thank you. Back to social media. You can claim to be fighting for other people... but then why record it? Why do you need to show others that you are fighting if you are not looking for some sort of reward? True heroes fight for something they believe in without asking for anything in return. "Oh it's to raise awareness" as if people aren't aware of the problem you chose to champion. We live in the digital age where information is not only at our fingertips in a matter of seconds, but it is aggressively shoved down our throats by media moguls and "influencers" alike. To assume we are not aware of a problem is like trying to point out a small pond in front of you while the Great Lakes are right behind you. Foreign governments, organizations, and groups also see social media as an opportunity to push these outlandish and extreme stances on people pretending to be Americans just so they can point us at each other and make us fight like dogs in a ring. The goal has always been to lie to and confuse people, and these "Gender Studies" graduates are just an example of a system that has been pointed in the wrong direction. If you respect me, I will respect you. If you have a preferred pronoun, I will either use it or I won't. If you are respectful, I will at least try, unless you have 14 different modes with a page full of rules. If you are a jerk about it, no need to cry about why I don't listen. Just move on to people who are willing to listen to your opinions. That is how the world works, and the quicker you learn it the better.

Nobody is saying sex doesn't exist, that's a straw man. Sex exists. There are biological men and women, which has to do with chromosomes. When we say Mr. or Mrs. we are not checking their chromosomes or checking their penis, we are referring to their gender, which is usually similar to one's sex, but not always. Sex is in the pants, gender is the brain. If you look at the brain of a transgender female, their brain is more similar to a biological female than to a biological male, but their genetialia is more similar to a male than a female. Do you understand now? Does this make sense?
@@davidaloysuis this is objectively false. Male and female pronouns existed well before the term gender. Second, we often use pronouns with strangers, we cannot see their brains, but their sex is obvious because of the blatant biological differences of the sexes. So we use pronouns based on that, not their mental perception of themselves. And third, the rainbow mafia claims that gender is a social construct left up to personal interpretation.... similar to religion or belief in a God. And just like there are some who say there is no god and religion is false as it is a purely social construct.... I say gender is not real and I refuse to acknowledge it. Therefore sex is the only objective factor in your communicative identity. So whonare you to say I have to acknowledge someone based on something that does not exist.

As a straight unmarried single male I find it disturbing when men dress as women to deceive people into thinking they are a woman when it is obvious in most cases they aren’t. And expecting me to play along and pretend like there’s no elephant in the room goes completely against male nature.

There's a world of difference between thinking ur right, and being right. Thinking ur the opposite gender, is simply just thinking something that is observably and verifiably and biologically incorrect. This is not a debate, there is no debate. There r men and women. Some wish that was subjective and they could decide, but that's just a foolish and futile wish. Like Ben says, and he's obviously not wrong, that u can't magically change ur age and u can't magically change ur gender.
Not to mention it’s a violation of first amendment rights. If someone wants to have the freedom to call themselves flying Buffalo then they have that freedom to do that, but we don’t have to be forced to call them that as well.

This is how a debate should be. The kid started his question with "This is where I don't agree with you..." and even asked if the way he understood Ben's statement was a fair summary or not. That right there is great debating etiquette. Asking if the way they understood the message is what the other person wanted to convey. And after Ben explains what he really meant the kid says tank you and just leaves the podium politely. Great respect for everyone involved all around.
Yes. It's wise to ask people to clarify their positions, and make sure we understand them. And to remain civil. We all need to re-learn of attacking ideas, not people.
I think "fragile mindset is not my responsibility" summed it up perfectly. I've got issues too, and some trauma that get triggered sometimes at work and other social settings. I've never made it other people's problem. I pay for therapy when I need it to help cope, accept and learn how to heal/live with my trauma.
I love your point. Worded perfectly. It’s up to each individual to be comfortable in our skin. No one else’s. A trans that is comfortable should not give a shit if they are called he or she.
It isn't your fault for having those things that effect you - the same is true with mental illnesses... but the responsibility is still ours to properly take control of what we can with regards to those things. Nobody else's. You're (and Ben is) absolutely right.
It isn’t the same thing. And that is your opinion for how you should deal with something you don’t want other people to know. Not everyone falls into your category, and it is not the healthiest approach to suppress everything you don’t want to share.
That's a very good statement. Dont let others confusion make you feel like you need therapy. Just decide people have opinions and theirs suck like any others but there dont have to be a conflict over it. Unless somebody is being mean n rude to you then smack their face and go on.
I do not think others should have such a hard time being sensitive to others needs. It is not that difficult but society now seems in some backlash of brutal honesty being the way to go. If something I do or say triggers a person with trauma I will do my best to be sensitive to stuff I have not been through. People should at least give you that respect! It is not all about them.

They are also....oh hell, who am I kidding, why am I trying to sugar coat this----they are utter useless drains on society whose unmitigated stupidity and incessant whining makes them nothing less than oxygen thieves whose very presence is like a cancer that should be weeded out.

The dumbest thing about "pronouns" is that I don't talk to someone using pronouns. If I'm talking to 'John', for example, I don't say "he" *to* him ... just *about* him. The word "you" is agender. If that doesn't reveal the narcissism at the core of the whole 'pronoun-debate', then nothing will.
You do for mine. My pronouns are "his lordship" and "his lordship's", and the former is used for directly addressing me, as well as for the second and third person.
@Steve Doud Ben is literally using basic biology and science to back up his point of view on the matter.. out of the entire video clip you just watched is that the one thing you heard that made you cry and think “he’s not being scientific about this” 😭😭 man shut up
At 3 and a half, my niece claimed to be a dog for a fortnight or so, and behaved as such. Strangely, she grew out of it. Without hormone treatment and species reassignment surgery.. 😷🤡🌍

You can tell this kid disagrees with him immensely, but I have so much respect for him that he was able to remain calm, not yell and interrupt Ben, and even smile. If grown ass adults could be as level-headed as this kid, more shit would get done.
Thank you Ben Shirpiro. Teacher here, we are forced to take training on how to teach gender on a unicorn, use to be a genderbread man( i honestly felt this was so weird could be n SNL). We are told keep it a secret from parents, the preferred secret pronoun of a child- if the child wants to keep it a secret. This are children who believe in santa or recently did.

When my parents were at the aging point in their lives where I'm at now, America was sending routine space shuttles into orbit, there were huge advancements in consumer technologies, and America was a place where a middle class could thrive. For me and my generation, we have an extinct middle class, a very unstable economy, pronoun lists, and the perpetually offended culture bent on burning down America. How times change.
At that time AMERICA was sending space shuttles into orbit because AMERICA was rich. Now INDIVIDUALS hoard wealth, which is why INDIVIDUALS are sending shuttles into space now. Blaming 'pronoun lists' and 'perpetually offended culture' for the economic issues is playing right into the hands of the politicians who are making money favoring these incredibly rich INDIVIDUALS and reducing the middle class. A litmus test of the politicians that are working for the middle class is checking whether they are talking about cancel culture and pronoun lists or if they are talking about taxing the rich. It will take Jeff Bezos hundreds of lifetimes to spend the $270 Billion that he has. TAX THE RICH so that that money can be used to help the middle class.
Actual respect to the guy who asked the question. More often than not, Shapiro is speaking OVER people yelling at him, which makes him seem way more aggressive than he actually is.
I'll guarantee you one thing. That kid will throw off his indoctrination the day he gets his degree. He's much too polite and respectful to maintain the anger, hate, and self-righteousness of the true SJW.

socialists look at Denmark as an example. And it's a good example, really. It works there. But the Danish people and government are smart. If we had a choice between Danish and Venezuelan socialism, our country would take the Venezuela kind
