This was a beautiful time for hip hop. I know people talked about how commercial things were while it was happening but There was waaaaaaaaaaaay more good music coming out back then compared to now.
I'm sooo mad seeing this, I remember I got tickets for the London show...they did the first night & cancelled the second night which was my night I was heated! I am still mad till this day! lol
Oh the memories I remember going to this concert with my friend we were in the front row seniors in high school we were going crazy especially when lil Kim came out thanks for posting!
HipHop!! Miss this!! I loved this part of the 90s!! Almost before it lost its edge! S/O to the 10 spot (old MTV) This was when it was all love on tour!!
Great time of my life....remember i was Bad Boy'd out bad boy chain everything i remember thys like it was yesterday...a year later the rocafella tour a year after the cash money tour..good times
@@djpocketmoney7705 *foxy got kicked off. She should’ve stopped stealing Lil Kim clothes, having such a nasty attitude trying to recreate Kim outfits like the fur bikinis. foxy was out of control with her obsession with Lil Kim, it was well documented.* 💯
Diddy is one of the greatest Artists of all time. My humble apologies Diddy, I didn't know you was given it up like that. Jeez. Here you go my friend 💐.
i saw this tour twice first time i saw usher just think he was the first act lol i was like this dude is no joke i will never forget this show 6 acts crazyyyy
This is when we had real rappers, this was real hip hop, it was authentic. 90's rappers actually took their craft seriously and worked hard. Where 2020's rappers are fake and bubblegum , water down trash, all they can do is talk about sex and twerk and being vulgar, same of sh**. Everybody is doing the same thing now, where as back then 90's rappers, no matter what coast they were on, everyone had their own original style of how they perform, rap, dress, etc. These days all you have to do is be a certain skin color, get butt implants, dress half naked , perfom sex acts on stage , twerk, and be vulgar, these days, you do not need talent, just need to be the most vulgar you can be and sell your soul and respect.
@kia112 Appreciate the upload homegirl. You got MTV's lil backstage thing they did for Hard Knock Life tour featuring Jay-Z, DMX, Method Man & Redman + more from early 99? If you got it upload it please.
Jay Z almost comes across as a secret hater on this Puff tour, all the "bunch of lights , bunch of lights" comment and the dipping off to go get girls shit,, I heard he quit this tour half way through too...seemed very ungrateful and intimidated by Puffs reign on Hip Hop at this time to me...maybe he wanted to be in them shoes he didn't like to see another man in them.
He also heard the Hard Knock Life instrumental beat that Kid Capri was playing before the show started where the crowd was coming in. When him and Dame heard it, he instantly quit the tour to start working on Hard Knock Life Vol. 2 album plus they got motivated. I wouldn’t say he was hating but the way the tour was, it was too shiny suit like, bright lights and too colorful so if you were him, you would’ve done the same thing.

Any artist want be a star and stay a star and dont have to worry about the executive producer being all in the video, all on the records, dancin, Come to DEATH ROW!
Yeah this in 97 just months after BIG died and the whole East Coast United . But they wasn’t no where near beefing at this time . Nas was highly respected and Jay was just making his bones so to speak (establishing himself)
