damn diddy had the whole vision. the song excellently portrays passion and pain. he did a great job directing her natural talent. brilliance all around.
@@curlymoonG*Y azz Diddy should've yelled at his wannabe son that f'd up the whole performance rapping over Mase joints he better put some respek on my baby K.C's name she saved his show
@@moneyman24258in the court of public opinion he is. Business wise he is. And that reputation is shot! But hey even OJ Simpson had his version of redemption.
@@TheFunnyGuy9000 Taught her how to sing 😂😂😂😂 Lmao. You can direct them or give them advice but you CANNOT teach anyone how to sing. You’re either born with that gift or you’re not. You’re either very young or you have the IQ of an ashtray. Which is it?
He sounds like he needs a Mucinex lol voice sound like a motor. The fact that he really sounded exactly how he wanted her to sing it blows my mind as well. 😆😆😆🤯🤯🤯
Most great producers are not great or good singers but have great hearing and timing. It's a bit like, just like a good dancer doesn't mean they can teach it well.
Obviously, you have never been in a studio recording before. Even on a film set, the director or producer will make you want to cry, but the end result speaks for itself. Diddy is a perfectionist and a genius.
She’s extremely underrated as a vocalist. Love is a classic that no can sing the way she does. Almost childlike but with raw adult experiences in her vocal ability.
I think he pissed her off a little and when she song it after that the emotions were in so deep it came out even better in her voice, and that's what he was looking for, Keisha voice has pain in it and that's what makes her voice and that's what makes hits .
As I watch this video, it truly hurts me because it's undeniable that puff is so Motivational and Determined to Create something big and Beautiful when it comes to This Music. I Hate that the bad decisions he has made in his personal life will overshadow his brilliance. Not only as a black man, but a human being.
Just like diddy said in his interview, he's not a producer that makes beats but he knows how to construct a great song and knows how he wants it to sound even if he can't sing it himself. This song will give you goosebumps especially listening to it with headphones! You be ready to yell sing just like Keyshia.
@@terencejulius5352tbh keyshia and Mariah have some similar qualities in the middle part/ belt of the voice. They have some tonal similarities and that vocal break when they belt. There’s an airiness and raspiness
I still love this record. I bought Diddy's "Press Play" CD back when this came out in '06-07. Young Keyshia looked really good with the red hair in this clip
I’ve always thought Keyshia is such an underrated vocalist. That song wouldn’t have been as great as it was without Puff’s input and the retakes though. She needed that emotion and power in her voice like she was about to lose her man that second and he brought it out of her. Amazing duo
@@georgia8592 hahahaha so was 95% of hip hop producers; everyone sampled stop the damn revisionist history, some of us were actually there and remember this shit...
Diddy was why this song ATE. Keyshia always said that about Diddy for pushing her to be the absolute best and he was right. This song is still eating bc the VMA 2023 performance is proof.
I lobe this because people see things in us we don't see, but when they're willing to work with us until we reach and pass the vision greatness always comes after.
Everyone learns differently, and some words just don’t connect with people like it does with others. Diddy saying all he said at first wasn’t connecting with her, but when he told her to take the “song” out of it, do what she does best, and have a conversation instead, it instantly clicked for her. It’s so cool to see feedback like that work in real time. A good lesson in catering your message to your audience and using examples that they will relate to!
👸🏽Cole The frustration, made you nail it, you brought purpose to the pain. I just heard this on the radio and it was perfect like it speaks to the woman’s soul now seeing how it’s made it’s actually fascinating. You 2 make a great combination 💥❤
Puffy has a gift! The original hit maker! He Knowssss what will SELL! That record was a hit & still is. Shiii, I even bought the album and still have it!! 😅 💿 👌🏾🔥
Realmente.
You’re welcome. I love this lyric tv show version of keyshia cole last night by Sean diddy combs from press play. 1. Because it has no bad words. 2. Because it has bad grammar
Listen i remember this episode and i hated this song. I was like WTH is this it sucks but when that album came out…it was on repeat ya hear me. One of my favorite songs OF ALL TIME
