Checking out KartKraft after its official release, still plenty of work to be done on it but for what it is there is a really solid karting sim here. The game looks beautiful and the kart is fun to drive.
Looks like multiplayer will keep being developed, currently in BETA.
I had purchased this a while back while in early access before the current price increase.

Great video! Kartkraft is so much fun, the AI in racing can be aggressive. You should check out the Time Trials in each track, PFI has confetti cannons that go off when you beat your PB, very satisfying

They need to add more to this. Such as indoor racing, changing weather, layout of tracks ( such as in Formula One Grand Prix) and more intelligent A I - if they haven't done any of those already.

Just picked this game up and I am so confused. The Race and Time trial modes are grayed out and can't be selected. Is there something you have to do to unlock them?

They were/are temporarily down as they updraged their servers recently. The modes should be back soon!

I think the work behind this game started being aimed toward other projects. So it never went as far as it should have. Such a great base here, just a shame it never became more.

Mabye eventually? This is from their FAQ page. "Yes, our plan is to release KartKraft on console after Early Access on PC. We don't have a confirmed date on when that will be."
