I thought Piers got it spot on - pushed her just enough to be insightful without tipping her over the edge

When Martha asked him, "Did someone hurt you? Who was it?" he truly felt her concern and appreciated it for a while. He didn't tell the police about Martha because she's the kind of person who enjoys looking after others. But eventually, it became too much for him to handle. Richard Gadd did something really brave by telling his personal stories, even if some of them could make people treat him unfairly. By sharing, he's not only helping himself feel better but also showing others that they're not alone if they're going through tough times too. It's like he's saying, "Hey, I've been there too." That kind of openness can make people feel more connected and supported.

The whole Piers Morgan interview reminded me of the interview where Michael Jackson denied ever having had any plastic surgery.

I was hoping piers was going to confront her with proof of the 41,000 emails and 350 voicemails

First of all, at first she claimed she wasn't contacting him and then gradually admitted there was more contact, she said she has FOUR phones and 6 Emails. She then tried to say he must have forged all the handwritten letters. She suggested that we should watch and judge....my verdict is that she did everything she was accused of.

To be fair, I’ve got about six different email addresses… it’s easy to accumulate… it only gets weird when you start using them to stalk people 😂😂😂

She has a "tell". She has a habit of talking about something else just before she answers the question put to her. She make it look like she is finishing a sentence but often she is saying something unprompted, she completes that sentence then answers the question. This gives a a chance to think about what her next response will be. She’s really skilled at it. It’s really fast but she did it throughout this interview. I only noticed it because I found it so infuriating that she rarely answered a question directly without going off on a tangent and talking about thing that weren’t relevant. She made a lot of filler comments I’ve done the same thing when I didn’t know the answer to something or don’t want to answer a question directly. It’s a poor attempt at deflecting.

Netflix didn’t consult all the family’s of Dahmer. So why would they consult her they technically didn’t name her. She outed herself.

If she has a photographic memory and didn’t have a law degree, then it would be consistent that she won't remember it. 😊

Imagine convincing yourself that you're in a relationship with a complete stranger. It's as crazy as telling everyone you were born in the wrong body.

This woman may be lying but this man Gadd accused her of: 1.Making allegations against his father to his employer. And threatening the entire family. 2. Attacking his ex girlfriend. 3. Attacking his ex trans girlfriend. 4.Crashing his comedy show. 5. S3xually Assaulting him by the river. 6. Going to prison for stalking a previous employer. 7.Going to jail for stalking him. He has not proven any of this stuff as true...but created a 6 part series about her and shared it with the entire world...yet people are ok with how he's destroyed this woman's life. You can not make up stuff like that and label it as a true story. This is not ok. His fans are sending this woman death threats for allegations he's making.

I think she is on the spectrum.. highly intelligent however no social skills whatsoever. I think its rather sad. 😢

I'm going to watch Baby Reindeer today, I hadn't heard of it until now.

She didn't deny having a law degree she said she had an ordinary degree which doesn't get a classification - eg like a BA without honours. So an LLB without Honours. An ordinary degree does get classified in Scotland as Distinction, Merit or Pass though we don't know exactly where she studied. She didn't want to say she did not have a distinction. Instead she said "I did alright" and "not as good as my politics degree because it was the 80's and we didn't do any work in those days". Do people not actually listen? On average people have 2 email addresses. It is easy to see how she may have more then.

Wow people are so judgmental and immature , hardly few people who are mature enough to look at this situation with empathy . Idk I just feel people are literally bullying her in comments , they are nick picking on every small thing she says , without understanding that at times some people under nervous situation doesn’t give the exact details and end up messing up but then that doesn’t mean they are bad or liars . If I have to imagine myself getting interviewed on national TV by celebrity news reporter and possibility of being watched all over the world then I can’t tell you how nervous I would be specially if this interview would be more like a trial . In all these kinda situations I do give people benefit of doubt in messing up with details which should have been double check before the interview anyways . They are just human like us and some people can present with imposter syndrome where they might show they are cool as cucumber outside but might be pressured and anxious inside enough to not able to support their own statement or situation . Remember no one is perfect ,with that being said if the news channel did their fact check about her being stalker , convicted felon with possibility of her having mental health issues then why did they even invited her on this interview , isn’t it’s inhumane to take advantage of a someone who’s already been humiliated over half of the world ? She didn't take an honours degree, in Scotland they either pass or fail. Its annoying that people can't understand that. Who knows the real truth? Some things in the show aren't true according to Gadd. So many people making up their own versions of the truth and judging her. She appeared extremely uncomfortable on the show with Piers. How about innocent until proven guilty. Stop the shtshow and give her a fair trial!

Did Netflix approach the rapist? Probably not. Many series or films are "based" on true events. The difference with this one is people imediatly went onto the internet to work out who the stalker and abuser were.

Well was there a court case and was she convicted surely Piers could have found proof of that? If it was an exaggeration, with some very serious allegations that are fictional that is not how Netflix protrayed it and this could have serious consequences on Fiona especially if she has mental health problems. It also casts doubt on the portrayal of Darrien who individuals are claiming to know the identity of also. I guess what i would like to see is Gadd and Netflix come clean on what is true and what is fictional.

Baby Reindeer is one of the very best shows I've watched in a long time. Yes, its about a stalker, but its much more about being human and all the complexities that come along with it. There was never a victim mentality in the show. Regardless of the content...by the end, you will relate to it, and thats what was so refreshing about it.

Documentaries, etc on Reindeer won't happen because of the threat of lawsuits, etc. I've already seen Piers on a talk show after the interview, really soft-pedaling everything, toning it down, not saying anything negative without a heavy veil over it.

This needs to stop. She is clearly mentally ill. We all advocate for better mental health support and awareness and yet we ridicule the mentally ill. Yes before someone says it she chose to go on the show...she's mentally unwell she likely believes everything she's saying. Remember that show is based on enough truth to expand on to make a drama. It's not all true but even the tiniest bit of truth can make a person believe the rest is. What she did was wrong but he let her think he had feelings for her for a laugh with his mates. He knew she wasn't right. If we can see it so did he. That's just cruel. He brought this on himself and if even some of that is true, he is not exactly playing with a full deck himself. Fiona needs help not plastered all over the media.

I had a nosy at her Facebook page. Three people with her name popped up but they were all for the same person. I had a look on one- I’d say that she has an obsessive personality, if nothing else.

She didn’t say she didn’t have a law degree at all. She said she didn’t have an honours degree but she did ok and didn’t want to state her actual marks. She was a bit odd but Piers gave her a very hard time I thought.

I started watching this show a few weeks ago. I think it's disgusting. I couldn't watch more than about three and a half episodes. Anyone who ' enjoys' this show must have warped minds.

Unwell or not, she has the right to “her side”. I’m sure if she pulled an R Kelly, the interview would’ve gone differently. I think Piers did a good job of being gentle while still getting her to contradict herself over and over.
