Crazy I've never played a single game of competitive pokemon in my life, yet I've been watching this man's videos for several years. Top notch, quality content.
Same here 😂 I've tried a couple games in SwSh with a team I really liked in one of his videos, but other than that I never played competitive and I don't miss a single video. It's so much fun to watch him playing and commenting!
Aaron MATE you are PUMPING these videos out!!! Absolute gem to this community. I wish I could meet you, you just seem like such a nice dude to talk to 😂
It's so cool to see Ice types enjoying the hail/snow mechanic change. Would be neat to see a team that could switch between Sand and snow, with some ice mons with a Rock Tera to switch which side they have more defense in. Impractical and gimmicky but sounds fun.
If Aurorus existed in Paldea, it could take advantage of that inherently. Unfortunately, only Hisuian Avalugg exists and it would prefer to be in sandstorm to live one weak or resisted special attack.
I absolutely love how you, one of the best in the world, can see a team composition and be like, “WOW, this is really cool, I’m excited!” It’s so refreshing to see one of the best still humble and excited to fight teams, even when you have a bad match-up!!! Thanks Aaron!!! You’re the best!!!
i’ve been LOVING watching you play this regulation. it’s the best when there is just an unbelievable amount of viable teams and now with all the new pokémon it’s endless. this is gonna be a fun couple of months!
Seeing you rapid firing these videos left and right gets me super pumped for the format because it means you’re enjoying it. I’ve been lazy to do the whole move to Home and to SV, but I wanna play all of these awesome strategies.
I don't it to go unnoticed how you have an amazing talent piloting brand new teams. I have tried a couple of the teams featured here and can't seem to find my footing yet, specially in such a new meta. So kudoos to you for not only showing us the ropes but being so good and making it feel easy!
Cybertron drinking game - take a shot every time you hear: - “I’m down to…” - “There’s a world where…” - “The debate is whether…” I joke of course 😂 thanks for all the consistently amazing content! Regulation D especially has been so fun to watch with all of the new Pokémon & team combinations
Snow is such a sleeper pick. With Aurora Veil on a now essentially 100+ base Def Abomasnow (thanks to the weather rework), there are so many games you can win from turn 1
Honestly you outplayed your opponents in these games so hard I would have loved to see one where you had to fight from a disadvantageous position, those are generally my favorites! Either way, sick video and sick team, I love Articuno and snow is dope
QOTD: I'm gonna go with the johto legendary trio. I've always loved their design from day 1 especially Raikou and thanks to Walking Wake, it gives me hope the others get a paradox form too.
I gotta agree. I love how visually diverse they are, unlike the Lake trio, or Genies, and while visually distinct, the Regis aren't very visually interesting. Plus, my favorite legendary, Lugia, is the "trio master", and I've always had a soft spot for quadrupled Pokémon over bipeds.
More than anything, I’m glad you’re having fun making content! Favorite legendary trio are definitely Gen 2 Legendary Beasts. Wish they were competitively viable or even in the games these days 😅
I always am happy to see you upload and never hesitate to click on your videos whenever I see them. But seeing Articuno in the thumbnail.. I couldn't click any faster.
QOTD: I think Suicune is the best designed, Zapdos for the original three and Galarian Moltress if we are talking just design for legendary trios. Best design of all time is obviously Metapod. The hard lines on its shell, the green hue, the angular shape and most importantly, those eyes. They watch. Metapod doesn’t blink.
I'm glad you brought my fav pkm to shine. I also made an Articuno and Abomasnow team but using the tera ground offensively, but I never thought on using Snow Clock + Bright Powder and the pretty impressive high chance of freezing. Great content as usual pal, keep it up!
Yoooo dope! I just did a vid on this team earlier today. Stoked to see the GOAT play it. Love to see Articuno getting some love QOTD: it's either the Legendary Beasts or Lunala/Solg/Necrozma
Loved this one, being this high ranked trying out different teams each time is insane, I would love to see another play until I lose video to see if there can be a chance to #1 in road to rank
Thank you so much for the quantity of content lately, must not be easy juggling this volume with all your other endeavors ! Reg D is way more fun than what I had previously thought.
Articuno is my favorite pokemon ever and I've used it in snow teams everytime I can. Love to see it getting love. Not to mention I didn't even realize it was going to be in the game yet
QOTD: if we are speaking in terms of graphic, easily the Galarian version of the Kanto birds. Galarian Moltres would have been my favourite Pokemon ever when I was an edgy teenager 100%, Galar Zapdos as kind of an aggressive Emu looks cool as well and Galar Articuno just looks so majestic and honestly kind of condescending even, imo it fits the Ice typing pretty well.
I love this. I'm 34 and have never played competitively before. I watch every VGC tournament that's about it. Watched this video and took some notes and now I'm 8-4 so far. I'm addicted! Aaron you're the man!!!
Omg Articuno. I loved that birb as a kid playing Red for the first time on my Gameboy Pocket, so I'm so excited to see it's viable (even if it takes a specific kind of set up haha)
i think for me, best designed trio might have to be groudon, kyogre, rayquaza! all with distinct silhouettes, unique features, and of course they have their iconic cutscene too :)
Loving all these vids man! You made me get into playing competitive! For QOTD, I love the sinnoh trio, my absolute favorite region and my favorite legendaries.
I obviously have to smash the like button and share, Articuno is the BEST of the birds and I’m so glad Mr. Cybertron is slaying with it! Thanks, Aaron! 💙🤍
Thrilled Articuno is finally viable. This certainly beats giving it an Assault Vest at a few Ultra Series PCs and just telling it to Sheer Cold things. Quite the enjoyable watch Aaron.
QOTD: the Regi family is super fun, if you insist on an actual trio - I think the Galarian forms of the birds are amazing. Especially Galarian Articuno. Hint hint ^^
One thing to note: There's a difference between "Rank" and "No." on ladder. Rank 10 means you matched up with an Ultra Ball player whereas No.10 means you matched with the number 10 player in Master Ball. Just an FYI for anyone that doesn't know. I've made that same mistake myself.
QOTD: Likely the Hoenn one, with each of its trio being very distinct and based on real myths - Leviathan, Quetzalcoatl, and the Behemoth. (The real best legendary trio though were the first Eeveelutions that captivated us and led to more of them!)
Not only did Articuno get buffed with Snow Cloak and weather, but with the several PP nerfs the ability Pressure was also buffed. Pressure stall is not a traditional VGC strategy, but I think it's quite underrated given the amount of protect/wide guard and more bulky teams becoming more viable. If only the move rock slide wasn't as prevalent...
I love this team and have been running snow but honestly the team looks so weak to AV heatran if it teras which I have seen a ton running snow recently
Freeze condition is definitely OP. I remember in gen 8, i swept this guy’s team down to his Froslass and I still had all four of my Pokémon. He got lucky and froze my heat Rotom and was able to wreck my entire team.
The legendary beasts are probably my favourite trio in terms of design I love Entei and Suicunes design and although I don't love the design of Raikou it's a pretty cool design too
QOTD: My personal favorite legendary trio is easily the Regi golems. I love the design of them so much, and I have fond memories of liking them way more after watching Lucario and the Mystery of Mew. :) Also, their cries in the movie are so good.
Loving the content for Regulation D! I’m rooting for you in the big tournaments and hope to maybe someday be nearly as good as you! I’m hoping that Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza are permitted in ranked battles soon, as they are, by far, my favorite legendary trio. Can’t wait to see you showcase them when the time comes! You’ve always got a view/like with me 😁
The best designed Legendary Trio to me is the Swords of Justice. All three are flavorful and relatable to the Three Musketeers they are based off of, and all three only share one weakness being Psychic, Justified is nice and also flavorful to their origin, and they all look really cool
Hey! How are you? Thanks for the content as always :D I have a question, how good and common is ice tera regieleki? Feels weird that my opponents are just letting their landos die to tera blast xD
I'm always in awe of competitive Pokemon and I've tried to build teams for years, but I just can't get it down. I also hate to admit the fact I can't get past using Pokemon that are viable over ones I just like. It's a tough pill to swallow and as I result I resort to just spectating. It also doesn't help that ice is my favorite typing... :')
The regis were my favorite trio, but then galar had to go and not only make it a quintet, but also introduce the Galarian Birds, which is my new favorite trio
