Hey Peeps! It definitely took me longer than anticipated to make this coat but I love how it turned out. I will definitely make another except I will fully bag line it rather than interline it as it does get very thicccccccc in certain areas. I will also adjust that bottom button so it's in the right place 🤣🤣

Your current projects aren’t boring, they’re pretty and versatile! If you’d prefer black buttons for your coat, I could check the local fabric store on Saturday. They have a literal wall of buttons. Between all the prep and the Snooker world championship I’m falling behind on watching your videos 🤣 And talking about distracted by the wildlife... I had to pause this waffle for my mum to tell me that the hedgehogs were very noisily making baby hedgehogs under the bushes. 🦔❤️

When I have thick seams, I use a clapper to flatten them. If the clapper is not enough, then I use a hammer. Hit the area with lots of steam, then use the clapper or hammer.

The trench is absolutely outstanding! PLEASE make one in a print and some dresses or blouses and trousers in plain fabrics to mix and match. How stunning would that be? Shake up your wardrobe a bit! 🥰

lovely coat, the bias binding is so nice on the inside...the armscye looks a bit low, it seems to pull where you pointed...im not sure though just from what i can see in video..tfs:)

I really like your explanation of your adjustments and choices you made as well as your willingness to talk about what worked and what didn’t. While I’m unlikely to do anything as challenging as this coat it gives me more confidence in my own sewing.

Loooove that coat. For the mobility in the sleeve, you may benefit from a little extra ease either in the across back or at the back base of the sleeve cap. A picture from the back (while you are wearing the coat) could give an idea of where you need it. There should be a specific “plead” along the sleeve head when your arms are hanging down. As soon as you move that ease is taking up and it makes such a hugh difference in the mobility. If you should the picture, I can give you an idea of what to try. It’s a small adjustment. Meanwhile wishing you lots of fun with all that’s to come.😽💕

At home it's taken 3 yrs. to get the wild kitty in the back garden to trust us, we are delighted she's now coming inside to love us. Cat sighting excitement abounds. I hope the FWF & the QQ had lovely birthdays. Your coat looks so cool & timeless. The secret colour bomb inside is fun.😊

That's a great coat!!! Love the contrasting buttons. Love the additional buttons and the placement is perfect. The eye is drawn to your teeny tiny waist, making it appear even teenier and tinier, if that is even possible! 💙

I have coat envy. It’s so beautiful. Were you aware that Deer and Doe patterns are discontinuing their paper patterns? On another note, your hair looks beautiful. Be patient with it as it’ll take a while to work out what to do but it’ll get there. As for a towel, I actually made one out of cotton jersey. There are some curlies that use t-shirts to dry their hair so I thought I’d make something like that for myself. It doesn’t frizz my hair. Have fun this weekend. ❤️💛❤️😘

Love "the wild Chiana has been spotted " 👀. Our granddaughter has a cat, daughter and granddaughter along with their cat are staying with us while looking for a house, (job move). Cat is staying in playroom, grandpa doesn't allow animals in the house, he's making exceptions for her, yup agree about cat aroma. Trench coat looks great, and how you went about your changes.
