I had the same window reg problem with my old Seat Leon(65plate). I took it a to a dealer and they told me I needed a new window regulator, so paid for that a arm and a leg etc. The week later the passenger window developed the same fault, fortunately I saw a fix on google which worked. I did go back to the dealer and ask they told me they had tried that fix and it did not work, not been to that dealer since especially after a bad experience with there sales team too. Was looking at a car to buy and was negotiating a deal with them and somebody else came along and they took them on a test drive and sold it to them. Then they had the cheek to come back to me a week later when the deal fell through. Wish you were local to me but that's the way it goes keep up the good work. I am retired now but I have worked in the motor trade most of my life ( parts guy) nice to see good dealers out there. Chris

Tayna Batteries are the danglies - used them several times and the delivery is AMAZING! Super, super service, and very good prices. I've had four or five batteries from them over the last couple of years and they have been top notch every time.
My jag xf windows used to do that. Sprayed silicone in the runners and did a simple reset holding the switch in the up position for 10 seconds and all was good.
for the mat repair I'd cut the hole to a square, glue a backing on from behind and then glue a repair into the hole, can keep scrap floor mats to do this from. If you still need to you apply your topper you'll get a much better under foot feel.
try a bit of silicon spray on the Kuga glass guides should help, mine did the same on the drivers door, the sensors just measure a resistance so backs the glass off
When putting on the front trim pieces on the Kuga as the weather is so cold the plastic is rigid so applying a little heat from a hairdryer or heat gun helps a lot.

Multiple owners are usually an indicator for a lemon or a car that went through a lot of abuse before someone was willing to spend money for the fix. That sums pretty much up the not unfounded concern of potential buyers. 🤔
Hi James. I had a Passat the same thing happened to my passenger window and was driving me mad. All I had to do was push and hold the passenger window button and it reset its self. Give it a go or google it. 👍🏻
Just get white salt from supermarket o brake ice up get some interlocking matting to put a walk in path when your here take up when going home glad cars are moving well
Your fog light covers may have been nicked when the car was previously on a forecourt. Went to buy a Ford Focus years ago and on the photo there was a fog light cover missing but when i went to view the car it had been replaced. Sometimes rob peter to pay paul.
As you do much cleaning,what do you use on the inside of the windscreen to get it clean .There are many ideas and cleansing materials what’s best , as your cars are always pristine.
The dog hair scenario that took you have is good Chops but I got a triangle tool on Amazon with 3 different lengths of tooth shaped rubber & honestly was a game changer. Especially the 3 different sizes for different lengths of hair only one after a quick glance I can see on Amazon is Jaswell Pet Hair Remover at around 8 quid. But for the money please give this and the drill brush a go
Just make sure you have plenty of grit about so you can move about and not fall. In the past month I've had two falls I've still got buses and scuffs on my hands from the last nearly 2 weeks ago.
That Kuga just wants the window resetting..Open window (keeping finger on the button) untill it's fully open. Keep hold of the button for a few seconds when it's open. Press the down button a couple of times in this position. Now close the window again keeping finger on the button. Keep finger on button for a few seconds when it's reached the top. Press it a couple of times when it's closed
i am in Australia, in regards to the Ford KA ecu, you say just send it off , get it back in a day or so and jobs a goodn, where are you sending it to and what for ?????

Does the type of buyer suited to that Clio often need finance? My father had a 2010 Clio 1.2 which my son had to learn to drive in after my father passed away. We ended up keeping it for nearly 7 years. Never did anything other than service it and change a couple of snapped coil springs. Very cheap car to run and completely reliable.

Hi James. I have had a few Ford KA's and every one has been the same. Water in the rear passenger footwell. And I can never find where it comes from. Tried, door and boot seal, light seals ect. Have you had any experience of this?
On the owner of the car point... my GF wrote off her car years ago, I had a "spare" car, insurance company wouldn't insure it as it wasn't hers... I guess I could have sold it, produced an invoice and gone down that route but would they have believed us or used the registered keeper as an excuse not to pay out?
Hello can somebody help me out, i have a level 1 light vehicle maintenance i got in college ages ago(learned near nothing) i have been doing alot of work on my own cars that i buy and sell, and of friends on driveway, iwant to move to a small unit and keep doing what im doing really, do i need a qualification/higher one to be legal? If i do need more what would ineed? Im not going to be directly advertising that im a garage but i will be doing work from word of mouth and my own cars. Thanks for any advice

I wonder if the reason that you were having trouble shifting the Clio was the badge? I don't know the U.K market but here in America many people won't buy certain brands of cars due to the reputation of the brand or the owners. BTW, think long and hard before offering financing, it can open up a huge can of worms. Love the videos, good luck.

I find you can make older cars dear but I seem to have to make late cars cheap, it's just how it is, in the late 80s I borrowed 10k from the bank to buy 2 or 3 later cars, could not sell them at all, lost and had to do silly deals, all my bangers were flying out, it's as you say bud maybe a flash forecourt, I don't know, but best to probably stick to under 5k,unless you get a chance to put say 3k across a 10k car, trouble is as well at 8k they want belt and braces and your down to a pittance profit, if you notice my ads I deffo don't go in for "heavy metal"

@@highpath4776 yes mate, problem is you put something on auto trader and you've no control, if people in London put say up to 50 miles in the search then your not seen, I'm in Barnsley so it's 180 miles, we even advertise nationwide delivery and have been all over the country tbh, went to the Isle of Wight the other day.
That's not weird. I did the same thing , with my Toyota iQ, 3 years ago. The originals, underneath , still look good. However this week , I have just ordered some rubber ones to cope with this miserable wintry weather.
If people drove to the conditions of the road, there wouldn;t be so many cars being written off and people wouldn;t have the headache of dealing with insurance. But so many people insist on driving on ice in the same manner they do on dray roads and then whinge when it goes tits up.
Just flick a bit of paint on that micra roof mate, nothing special, people hardly look at roofs, gob the sump up and punt it out, clean that 107 it's very saleable, corral all those silly purchases together in a corner and forget about them, then you've got space inside, compressor in your work side, a big jack to get cars high enough, buy oil in bulk, works out at a tenner a gallon for me, you could be saving loads doing your oil changes, not 40 quid, 10 or 15 max, as you know mate I don't farm anything out, I think you could really make things easier and loads more profitable for yourself,IMHO anyway mate.

@@ChopsGarage the way my court thing went mate I think we'd loose anytime up to 6 mths, judge deffo wasn't listening to me, what he said was even wrong, I think they just side with the customer, so best to avoid it, tbh the stress of working arguments around in your head is just not worth it, but it's so, so rare people will actually go through the court process, I'll be honest it did my head in.
@@ChopsGarage top tip mate, single young girls, all are angry and seem to know the law, both my court cases were buy exactly the same types, an older bloke or young lad would probably shrug but silly young girls think different, a friend of mine summed up that freelander, he said if sills were rusty behind the trim then he'd rather not know, ha, ha.
My Hyundai i10 is now coming up to 9 years old and still on its original wiper blades - long may they carry on - can you recommend decent aftermarket ones? or should I just get dealer replacements? I don't the Bosch shite which last a year!
I bought Halfords blades for my BMW and they were awful. Juddering terribly so I thought arms were bent. £54 later at BMW and they fitted them. Absolute silence and NO judder. Best to use genuine
I know, I find that frustrating too. On some other channels (not pointing the finger at Chops here) they'll struggle one-handed to open up a box to show a new part they've bought. Why not have the thing unpacked before they switch the camera on? 😄
Why don't you put the cars from the other side outside mate under covers, there nearly all a waste of time anyway, then you've got a totally clear wet room space for valleting your quick moving stock, in fact I'd get real and out all the pseudo classics, your far, far too busy doing your good stuff, it's all a nice idea punting around in a 2cv van or a sebring mg but you need to get realistic, I'd be (and am) full on this year as its going so well with normal cars, people will still be just as interested in your channel.Doesn't seem sense having the old van, old micra and others nice and warm while your outside valleting.
@@sammytheseal2307 he just wants to be full on chasing the money, we don't know how things will change, atm cars are going great, but it's not long ago when it was hard to make a wage on them.
😅 it’s ashame that their older stuff was great then 2000-2012 they just went to crap but their more modern stuff doesn’t seem to be as problematic think it’s because their sharing a lot of running parts with Nissan & Mercedes
