#thelifeandsadending #garryshandling #larrysanders A mini biography about the life and career of Garry Shandling. He starred in 'It's the Garry Shandling Show' and 'The Larry Sanders show'.
I can’t say as I enjoyed his stand up comedy, but I do appreciate his contributions to comedy through his writing for sitcoms and the fact that he set up his estate to benefit worthy causes.
I was on business in Vegas,in the early 90's. He and I,were passing each other in the Mirage Casino,he had body guards, but,I was an artist, and,I think we know each other? He gave me,the head nod,of acknowledgement. I returned it. I don't play casino games,I was just wondering,he knew I was different, too. I had a vision, too, surviving surgery, too. I know the feeling, too,of what is waiting for good human beings.
I don't remember all he did that well. I didn't watch him that much. I do remember him guest hosting The Tonight Show. And it sounds like he wrote some great stuff. 👍 Thanks again, Steve 😃
I heard before that he left part of his estate to his lawyer and I always thought that was sad that he went through life without a close family but like all celebrities we never will know what was actually going on in his private life! Thanks for your content Steve!
@@stephenmaclean9914 I believe that is one of the “Creator Awards” given by You Tube. I think this is the one for reaching 100,000 subscribers or such. I follow a few RU-vidrs and several of them have shared their various styles of awards.
I liked him in just about anything he was in. The Larry Sanders show was also good. He had that very likeable down to earth guy personality. I also loved David Brenner. He and Gary were similar in some ways. To mr anyways. Good video. 👍
My favorite Shandling performance would have to be providing the voice of Verne the turtle in "Over the Hedge." He and Verne were both likable, dependable, old fashioned, and caring, if a bit prone to being overwhelmed by circumstances.
I saw him perform many years ago in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He opened for Joan Rivers, and he was hilarious! Of course, Joan was too. I'll never forget seeing those two all those years ago. (This was in the 80's.)
Carlin was the King of Comedy. I met him and had lunch with him and other Airmen at the base I was stationed at. He called me a smart blonde. 6mos later he came out with his HBO special about oxymorons.😂😂😂
His career was him pretending he was very funny. He did the same thing David Brenner did, always start smiling right before the "punchline" so people know it's time to laugh. His shows were mostly of him looking bewildered. Not a funny guy at all. Another Joey Bishop, not funny but connected.
I also have to say I didn't care for him AT. ALL. He wasn't funny to me AT. ALL. If he was ever on a episodic show I watched, I wouldn't watch that episode. He just seemed SOOOOO inCREDibly BOR-ING. THIS was the MOST I've EVER watched ANYTHING featuring him.
