I guess I'm not the only one who went all-in just for the book... I already forgot what's supposed to come with the FUBR edition of the Requiem Collection, so I guess all I'm excited for at the moment is the box.

I'd definitely buy it for the shadow box, pin, and steelbook because I love the series but I can't justify it to myself sadly

I agree on each points pretty much - lots of useless paper/plastic stuff. I am also not sure about shadow box but if you say it's cool I believe you haha. I persinally went for one tier lower, which is just the genesis case that you opened.

I think you’re far too critical about this collection. I think its outstanding overall. The shadow box alone is worth $80-120 from anyone that does that kind of work especially with lighting and sound. Could it be a little cheaper? Yes. More around the $149 mark would be better but there’s quite a bit included in the package. The art book, superb, the steel book, superb, the clam shell cases and covers, superb, the small game case display, also superb. What else are u really wanting in this? A $300 statue or something? To each their own but I think the collection is a great little haul for a castlevania fan. Not much else u could expect in exchange. Maybe a glass set or diorama cube or something but it’s respectable as packaged. Just my 2 cents.

I'm glad you got yours! Not gonna watch yet, I haven't received mine. Haven't even got a shipping update, nor a tracking number. I did order the PS4 version, maybe they assembled the Switch copies first, IDK, but I'm pretty tired of waiting for this one 🙄. I also just received my Asha in Monster World PS4 CE from Strictly Limited, been waiting since November 2020, that was a hard wait. I promise I'll watch once I get mine, but I just can't spoil it for myself lol.

I bought the collection digitally and got this same edition from limited run, I'm never opening it, the value immediately drops, I have it next to the Doom collectors edition.

I mean, this is cool and all, but I'm happy with just the digital game on the Switch. More than pays for itself.

I just got my PS4 copy in today! Even though I bought the digital version, I'm still scared to open my copy- so watching this opening is helpful!!!

Something that would’ve been helpful for the viewers to know is if you went into this set blind or if you knew what you were getting. To be fair, all of this was posted on LRG’s website. Granted there weren’t specific dimensions/scales for most items, or details on the music or sounds for the shadow box, but everything was shown.

I like the set. 😁 I'm trying to understand the disappointment. 🤔 True it seems to have a lot of useless stuff in there. Which is why I passed on it to get the game only. But overall it seems like a pretty neat set. I would get a kick out of it, but that's just me I guess. The miniature boxes are a little smaller than I expected.

I picked up this set. Im not too bothered by the music for the shadowbox. I do agree that the mini box collection is kind of stupid. I think they could have done something else. The artbook, shadowbox, sountrack cd, and game with steelbook is largely why i picked it up. The pin is nice. But when you consider the game is what $40? The other elements have to make up for it. The art cards could have been more impressive. Some foil or other treatments would have made them feel more premium at least.

Would be nice if they made different variant collection covers with the themes as well.

Reminds me of those Time Life series you could get back in the 80's. Those were cool and they featured creatures of the dark, wizards and such things.

Super Castlevania is right up there with Super Mario World and other great games, for myself! Such tremendous music and moody/gothic graphics. Wish the Switch would come out with a worthy side scrolling successor.

Not a bad collection but I'll say certainly not their best. Haven't had the urge to buy anything from them recently. River City Girls 2 will probably be the only thing, but for a big fan you can't deny that shadowbox is great! Did need a better version of bloody Tears for sure lol.

Well, the presentation of the shadowbox is pretty great even if they could've done much better with the music chosen. Definitely enjoy seeing a physical book too; stuff like that just isn't the same digitally. I won't lie, Lady Laci loves miniatures, so the mini-boxes actually win her over. Stuff like that works in my favor sometimes with these bigger sets. ha ha Samplers aren't too bad; if you've got the soundtrack, yeah, they're semi-useless, but they are perfect to lure people into the music world of games. Like audio demos selling the full product...unless people just have no class and don't appreciate good music. lol

Konami has been a fairly ass wipe company for many years now. It's cool some of the things in this collectors kit, but it seems they stuffed some bull shit paraphanelia into it just because....? This game deserves a lot better than Konami has done for it.

Now is the manual a instruction manual or just artwork?
