Man that price is insane. and for all that gimmicky junk. You are completely right about the art book. I think the advance games has some seriously unique art and it's a shame not to showcase it!

I admit, i ordered the Ultimate Edition for Xbox. I love the Aria of Sorrow cover. Besides that i ordered 3 standard editions to have all covers on the shelf. And yeah, im stupid but i love Castlevania.

At most might preorder the classic edition for 64.99. If not just the normal release.

Can't decide between HoD and AoS covers. Both are very good. Well, al four are good, but these two are better on my opinion.

personally I ordered just the regular version with the aria of sorrow cover for the switch for 35 $ it's enough for me, with the shipping to France I paid 50 euro in total it's already expensive but I wanted this game in my switch collection

Absolutely grabbed this!.... In the most basic version. Big box set? Yeah, no, not for that price and not after the Requiem one we eventually received.

I got my standard switch copy in the other day. I got the circle of the moon cover. I like it. The other versions take to long and i really only just want the game to be honest

The DSS Card deck is what I’m geeking out on. I just hope they use the official art and not some pixelized upscale version from the games.

Im' from France, and with the ultimate version + the collectible coin (15Euros), plus shipping and taxes, I'm about to pay 265Euros... it's a little too much... It's a good thing the collection is not limited and available for a long period of time for preorder, because I wanna do some thinking before buying it this time :) I agree with you, an artbook would have been a better collectible to have instead of those keychains, lithographs and small CD's...

Yea anytime I order for LRG I pretty much go by the motto of set it and forget it. By the time it comes all hype is dead and I don’t even bother opening or playing it. The authentic LRG experience…lol especially if you order any of their non modern stuff like snes or Gameboy rereleases. But dammit how else will I ever own Shantae of trick world. Yes Mike I know the first thought you had was “well I have shantae complete for GB color. Yea yea. Great vid bud. You ever end up liking the dead cells castlevania?

Here are my condensed thoughts since there's a lot to unpack here: -I'm probably most excited for the vinyl soundtracks, even though the prices are borderline absurd. Would certainly hope that HoD and CotM aren't just selections for $30 a pop, as that's roughly what a double-LP from Mondo goes for -I'd put money on the shadowbox song being "Ruined Castle Corridor" from AoS, as it wouldn't make sense for them to pick something from one of the other games (even though "Divine Bloodlines" is way more iconic to the series) -The Advanced edition should've had HoD for the box art instead of AoS, as the square box would show it more fully (it's cut off horrendously on the standard, portrait-oriented cases) -Agreed: where's the frickin' physical art compendium/encyclopedia, LRG? Remove half of that nonsense in the CE and replace it with the book, my goodness (and maybe lower the price by $60 or so while you're at it) -Can't believe you forgot to mention the laughable PC "physical" editions of the collection. All of them are $10 less than the equivalent Switch/PS4/XBONE editions, but they come with a Steam key instead of a USB drive with the game on it (and no Steelbook, obviously)

Took almost 3 years for them to ship my kotor ultimate edition lol, thought I got scammed it took so long.

Love these games but 175 is too much for whats included IMO. The litographs are lame and the exclusive keychains simply not worth it. Maaaybe if the shadow box had HoD art on it but oh well. I'll go for the advanced edition definitely. Oh and already ordered the pin set LOL.

to your questions: yes and yes. I'll go for classic edition as usual, everything else is just more plastic waste in my opinion.

You save twice as money on digital purchases...

Dracula Double X, Vampire Kiss and SNES Dracula X. Steelbooks suck bad. I'm highly tempted to get all the regular editions, the ultimate editions are not worth the cash in my opinion. The extras are simply not worth it. The DSS cards are the only real item worth it and they could add it to the other versions, including the basic.
