I was so excited to get mine but out of the box I got the red led on pov ... attempted firmware update but no go and Bluetooth won't connect but it connects absolutely fine to my Crane 3 Lab

You should definitely make a video on "How to set up wireless transmission setup"!! I got the motion controller and both transmitter and receiver. I was able to get the wireless signal but not the motion controller to work yet. It would be the only real video showing the Crane S3 working with motion controller!! Cant wait!! I am also using the Canon C500 MII on it and really digging it so far and the most recent firmware has fixed a lot of the vibration issues! Cheers!

As for the sample test footage The 16mm was by far the winner if you are looking for cinematic feel. The crane did a good job with all of the lenses, but again, the 16 & 200 really caught my attention.

Could you do a vid on the crane 3 lab on object tracking using the zy app, and if autofocus from within the app on the object you're tracking is possible. I've had this thing 6 months now and still can't get it to track me using a d850. I'm pulling my hair out. Ideally I'd like to attach the gimbal to a motorised slider and get the parallax effect on a product. A little like the Rhino arc 2 would work.

I have a Sony A7S3 but can't get it to communicate with my Crane 3. Any thoughts on how to solve the problem? Is it a settings issue with the Sony? It's on Zhiyun's compatibility list and my firmware has been updated. Any thoughts?

YEAP !!! 70-200 was very impressive so that means i can have my 105 1.4 on it and not worry about counter plates and weights ... my Ronin works perfect but its time consuming I think the Crane 3S will handle easy any lens, monitor, wireless transmitter and focus motor ... thanks for the review

I have the Zhiyun Crane 3S and Sony A7sIII. But the Sony will not connect to the Crane 3S . This is frustrating, as I want to use the record button on the gimbal instead on the camera. Is Sony A7sIII not compatible with this gimbal? And the gimbal axis motors are noisy, anyone else experienced this?

Hello! Tell me please. I bought myself a Zhiyun Crane 3S. But I urgently needed a focus motor. I bought the engine that is stronger (fourth). When he came to me it turned out that he could not fix on my Crane 3S, because they have different fasteners with Crane 3. But if I can attach this motor somehow - I have a BIG PROBLEM! This motor only works in ZOOM mode even though I plug it into the Focus socket. I tried both slots, but it only works from the ZOOM button. How can this conflict be resolved? Is it possible to make it work in Focus mode? I urgently need a consultation, because I bought a motor on Ebay and, if the issue cannot be resolved, then I must return it. But I would like an alternative

Wuz up my man. I've benn workin with the zhiyun crane 2 and was loving my dual handle setup. On the handle i also had my monitor mounted, what was working perfectly for me. Is it also possible to attach my dual handle on the extention i saw you had in the video and would you recommed shooting so on the 3 S? Greetings from Germany.

Got mine a few days ago. Been testing it out. There were a few issues with the motor but I think the latest update fixed them. A lot smoother now.

Yes. All the gear, from the TransMount receiver and transmitter, to the servo motors for focus and aperture, can be used.

Which camera body are you using, and is the control arm compatible with your camera? I was really disappointed that on the Crane 3 it was not compatible with the Sony flagship and A7R3 bodies. I am wanting to find out before I consider upgrading.

Can you explain what you mean by “not compatible”. As far as I know and even in the instructions, the Crane 3s is compatible with Sony cameras. I think as far as parameter controls, some the buttons used maybe a bit different, but I believe you can still use it.

You have to use their battery pack since the gimbal requires a certain voltage.

Hey, Just curious. I have the crane 3. Not the s, but I was wondering what monitor would you recommend using on the crane. I like how you have the set up with the monitor on top, I dislikes the cords. Would deal with them if i have too. Especially if i plan on continuing to use the vortex mode for the 360 shots.

I just got my 3s. Pretty cool. But every time I put it into F or PF mode, the roll axis turns to a 15 degree angle, leaving my camera tilted to the side. Any other modes work completely normal. Any idea what would be causing this?

Hey, I truly appreciate all your tutorials (especially the ones relevant to me). I was wondering what support system you find can work with the Crane 3S and the Ursa Mini Pro (or equivalent weight) + a few accessories (follow focus, monitor, matte box, etc), around 20 lbs. I know you have a video on the Digitalfoto Thanos, but I wonder if that will hold my set up. Thanks man!

Looks awesome. Thanks for the demo. Question: does it still use a USB-B connector for the data link? On our Crane that temperamental, fragile connection has broken TWICE. A USB-C connection would be way better.

i wonder if upgrading to this for pocket 4k/6k users is worth it if you currently own a Ronin-s... I feel like you wouldn't have to worry about offsetting the pocket on the crane 3s?

I just bought the weebill s last week and i balanced an a6000+ sigma 30mm and it was fine.but last night i rigged an a7iii +tamron 28-75 and I heard a very very minor sound from the motors.somthing like the sound of a fan.is it normal or am i getting picky?

Do you need the zhiyun crane follow Focus to make it work with the wheel? I have a focus nano. Would it work for that ? Or could I unscrew the zhyuin wheel and put the nano wheel in its place ? I would Rather have one wheel on the S3 than 2 and one not in use

It would be a bit overkill for just that setup. I've used the Crane 2 and Ronin S with that combo with zero issues. If you ever plan on upgrading to a larger camera I would go for it though.

2:23 - The Crane 3S-E is listed as having the extension arm as well. So are you sure only the Pro version has this?

raredreamfootage the SE does not have the digital sling arm that communicates to the camera and gimbal.
