YES. When Miles said "I can't go there dressed like that", I was like "Yeah, you're right. You need to bleach your hair, dress up in cream colored clothes and drag David Tennant with you".
@@eliotasterforrest5026 After leaving Great Britain for France, Miles there was found by his dads dining at Paris' best restaurant (never went to Paris, don"t know what it could be), they welcome him and try their best to comfort him. Young Miles is totally heart-broken, he thinks he will never find happiness again. Azi tells him about how he accompanied Oscar Wilde during his exile and how they were joined by Oscar's lover, Lord Alfred Douglas. Miles then reminds him that Oscar finally died extremely poor after his wife Constance stopped helping him financially. Crowley admitts that he tempted Oscar and Alfred to start living like they used to, which obviously pissed Constance. The two parents argue about that and finally agree on the fact that Miles still has a chance if he's more careful than Oscar.
I grew up with this man as a gruff, depressed, vengeance seeking werewolf out to change the world one bloody battle at a time how the fuck does this fit him SO differently yet SOOO well.
"Miles confessed to a intimate beastliness involving 5 guards men of the royal household, 2 marines, and a bricklayer from Huddersfield" *MILES JESUS YOUR GETTING ALL THE ACTION I-*
Possibly because many people don't look much different from twenty-five to thirty-four, possibly because tv and cinema casting choices have horrendously warped our perception of age, but really probably because the makeup and hair departments are MAGIC.
I swear, Michael only ever plays gay disasters in anything he acts in... His voice hasn’t changed one bit He still looks like a 25 year old gay disaster He calls himself ‘mother’ He’s literally a gay angel A gayngel
I adore the idea of Aziraphale: Guardian Angel of the gays. I mean he was a part of the Gentlemen's club, he'd probably adopt some stray humans along the way.
Cause the original book 'Vile Bodies' was written in 1930, and being gay was gross then :[ I wanna rewrite this movie as a fanfic from Miles perspective
I honestly cannot believe that there is only 8 minutes of screen-time for this lovely character. How ghastly, darlings. Thank you so much for this, dear.
I now want a movie solely about Miles. It doesn't even have to have any plot, just Miles going to parties, Miles being a dramatic gay, Miles sleeping for all I care, I just want to see more of Michael Sheen in Make-up and playing a disaster gay in epic fashion
“he’s my husband” “yoUR WHOT-“ “my friend is confused, darling, he’s _my_ husband :)” (immediately afterwards and within earshot of the ticket guy) “oh how dreamy he is.”
I just finished good omens so seeing Michael play miles and then a character like aziraphale I just.... I fucking love it Edit 4 years later: and now season 2 of good omens has me BAWLING 😖🤧💔
@@biblooky8755 Yeah, pretty sure its a film and its called Bright Young Things. Does anyone know anywhere I can watch it for free (other than amazon prime as I can't get that)?
Miles, Miles, love of my life! Sweet boy, he is the reason why I loved the movie so much. Bright Young Things is how I discovered Michael Sheen. Miles reminds me so much of Duckie Dale from Pretty In Pink
This is the 10th time I watch this, and I still don't believing in how Michael looks like a truly image of an angel in this role. He is so beautiful, I can't stop loving him!
I watched the movie after watching this. Brilliant.👌 Not to mention both David Tennat and James McAvoy are both in it😍 And you were absolutley right about not needing to see Miles cry 😭😭😭
I still can't believe the sheer nerve of Stephen Fry, calling Miles' lover Labouchere of all things. In the book, we never get his name, and he just went there and named him after the Blackmailer's Charter. Perfect foreshadowing to the end of their story arc, very in-tone with the, let's say, expressive names in the novel, but also absolutely devastating on an emotional level.
Rose Barrett lmao no the police find incriminating letters he has written to his boyfriend. He’s not dumped - he has to flee the country to escape being prosecuted for his homosexuality.
Lillither He has to flee the country as he has been outed to the police as gay. It’s so so sad because many gay men had live in secrecy as otherwise they’d be sent to prison or even, not long earlier, killed. Such a heartbreaking scene. If you don’t watch the film, I’d definitely watch that moment.
