Unreal engine 5 is wonderful, I was just getting the hang of it recently and while working out ideas of my own I thought what incredible things you and your team could do with it. Ah, so that's cool! I can't wait to play it! I don't understand the Dreams server thing though, is this not something to be offered on steam, and instead of a standalone installer? Or would it only be an offline game, in the vein of *Jurassic Park: Trespasser?* Man, that won't take too long to remove IP infringing content, then. Just *4 things to remove, Indoraptor, Indominus Rex, Scorpious Rex,* and any and all looks that depict the words *"Jurassic"* and *"Park"* together. All vehicles, buildings, weapons, dinosaurs, are all good to go. You can even keep things in the same font and named "When Dinosaurs Ruled The Earth" "Jungle River Cruise" or "Visitor's Center" because that isn't JP IP. 😜 I highly recommend just to change the name "Jurassic" to "Triassic" for minimal texture changes. The only real issues will be the 3D Modeled J U R letters like on the main park gate. Maybe flatten those? Because the many dinosaurs from the era, I know others have mentioned a rename of "Cretaceous Park," but it would look weird with "Cretaceous" all scrunched up in the same space. Anyway, so after that is completed, then anyone could self-mod the textures on their own. Maybe the textures could "leak" somehow from a shareable, non-affiliated google drive, dropbox, mediafire, etc. Or at the very least, release the templates, and then people can add the "J-u-r" and boom, back to normal and far less time and effort, not wasted. Keep up the great work and I applaud yourself, and the entire team on the amazing amount of incredibly detailed and spectacular talent and work on this!!!! 👊😎🍻

Universal should be happy the franchise is getting a game that’s gotten so much love. Literally instead of a cease and desist they should have offered to help develop it. We only really have park builders as games we need a first person game like this

I’m glad you guys are back & ready for dino action. Curious though, how would getting rid of IP work? Would you guys just be getting rid of logos & rebranding characters? Or would it be deeper than that?

This gives you the chance to make a dino FPS/survival horror/action horror game not confined by the Jurassic Park brand. People want a game like this not just more park builders or lego games. Instead of focusing on the Park fallen, base it around The Lost World’s outdoor environments with only a few buildings which removes the issue of JP IP references.

God I wish Universal can just let this happen. I have no idea why they are so worried since this looks way too good to be official. I’m glad y’all are back but just take it easy with these next few projects

Thanks for this video, I still love what you and your team have done with my whole nostalgic heart. I want so much for Jurassic Park Operations to be preserved, ported to PC, opened up and expanded forever so that I can play it one day in the version you intended and in VR, but that was probably never realistic for a game made in Dreams. I'm still happy that you're giving us what you can, I'll treasure getting to play your released version on a PS4, if Dreams doesn't close down and remove my ability to before then. X3;

Even without the namesake, this is too ambitious to shut down as a project. Hopefully the Jurassic Life mod gets the same treatment from Universal and faith will finally be restored.

I think that for the main building you could rename the banner from "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth" to "In the Time Before Man". Just a thought.

I love the T-rex model. In my opinion the "old" design which is also used in the original JP looks much much better than the one's from JW. It looks far more sinister.

( As or when this game releases ) I would love to play it . but I love that you said “ I wish that someday in the distant future play station + and 5 will give the game the second life it deserves “ . a speech like that can say something good about the world not just games and fun.

I said it once. I said it again. I'll say it now. I'll say it more in the future. There is literally no way Dreams should exist, or quite possibly should have in the first place. Something that isn't a dedicated program and is just (now) $20 and can LITERALLY build new games with such detail you think a AAA studio developed is fucking mind-boggling. Your work on the JP and even some of the others in this video (Mario, really? lol I never knew) makes it worth buying a PS5 within itself. I can only imagine what Dreams 2 would look like... if ever...

Im sure you could sidestep to something cool like a Dinosaur time travel adventure, Im thinking along the lines of.. Youre an employee of some corp that has timetravel tech or access to a wormhole to dinosaur times (a bit like the series Terra Nova), You go back as a researcher, but somethings gone horribly wrong with the established colonies or been sabotaged by rival factions (you get the idea). :)

Thank you for not giving up and releasing the game without the ip elements. To be honest, just to be able to play the game it's great news. Shame on Universal. They lack the talent to give us the fans a good JP movie or game and instead they are shutting down fan projects like this done by people with more talent than anyone on their team and who really love Jurassic Park.

I'm trying to lurn how to make animations and I use sculptrus for crearing creatures blender for buildings and items you could also use miya but that cost alot and of course unreal for the game part hope this help give you some idea of what to look at. Your amazing work help inspired me to teach my self

Should definitely be sure to somehow save the finished project with the IP before making the other version without the IP, you know...just in case the slim 0.001% chance Universal ends up changing it's mind.

If you are revamping it into something else, does it mean you can add in two more species of dinosaurs to the game? I recommend adding in Therizinosaurus and have it and Velociraptor covered in feathers. :)

I dont understand why would universal copy strike a fan made product that is entirely free for public to access. This is crazy. Also making the game on unreal engine would be so cool. Many of us PC players can play your game if it comes on PC. You can even start crowd funding project to kick start your game.

The Jurassic Park franchise hasn't been in the best shape for a long time, Universal has taken care of it. That is why now such projects as yours have a chance to establish themselves as something original, and as something that conveys the atmosphere of the original source. This is how real art is created!
