Lemme know if you have a better idea, because this is all I got unfortunately. 16:13 - Normal 3 22:34 - Thwomp's troll level. How does Dosuo move? Note: Thwomp is called Dossun in Japanese, so I can only assume Dosuo is a nickname for a Thwomp. I think it's a hint on how to solve the level. There's a part later on where text spells out "Dosuo" and points at a specific Thwomp. I think you're supposed to observe which direction that Thwomp moves and understand that other enclosed Thwomps also move in the same way, thus either triggering or not triggering level elements. Or it's a reference I don't understand. Please correct me if I'm wrong, this is just pure speculation. At 24:16 the coins on the bottom spell "you've been sent back" (to checkpoint 1) At 25:26 the bricks on the left spell "wrong" At 25:53 the bricks on the left spell "crap" At 33:02 the bricks spell "Dosuo", pointing at the enclosed Thwomp 47:41 - Desc: No hints (how ironic)

I think the Luigi thing only showed up in Story Mode after you lost a few lives on a single course. It allowed you to place objects (like power-ups) and blocks on the course to help make it easier for you to clear the course.

That warp block by the flag actually went right to the end, not to the room with the springs! So all you had to do was to stack four blocks to get in the blue pipe and go in the warp block. Was hilarious to see the ordeal of the whole level, though! And funny with a rare level where Ryu misses all the cheese :)

9:25 - FWIW, a spring drop was not necessary. Just a regular bounce on the ground. (You jump the same vertical distance off a spring in the next level at 13:40.) I find it somewhat common for more advanced players to just assume that a mid-air spring jump is necessary, without testing whether they can just make the jump from the ground. :-)

That maze level is probably the closest Ryu will ever get to playing a level similar to the SMM1 level "The Pinnacle of Level Design", though not nearly as good or entertaining as that one.

That second level was... About 3-4 levels in different common genres one after the other. And that is in no way a compliment to the level design.

It'd be cool if you did a run where you're only allowed one skip and it's when the disclaimer shows up telling you to skip if it's too difficult.
