Yall's cats and your relationship with them convinced me to finally pull the trigger on my wanting to adopt a cat. He's a 4 year old rescue and missing his left eye. (Old injury that healed well) His foster mom named him The Dread Pirate Roberts and I couldn't bring myself to change that.
as a former one eyed cat owner myself, they have a very special type of charm. My old boy was a huge, pitch black kitty who looked intimidating but meowed like a kitten. The Dread Pirate Roberts sounds like a wonderful cat!
Fun fact, the announcer voice isn't just gibberish, it's Swedish, and it's a real message from the Stockholm subway. It says "linje tretton mot Ropsten ankommer om fyra minuter" (line thirteen towards Ropsten will arrive in four minutes.) I was shocked when I heard it in this video because I hear that message every day in the Stockholm subway 😂

Fun Craig fact! During localization of My Neighbor Totoro, the American team debated changing Totoro's name to something more American. One of the names they considered was Craig! They also considered making his name Joe Toro, and he it would have been implied he's from Cleveland (somehow??)

The "formal living room" or "formal dining room" thing... I had friends when I was younger who had totally normal parents other than the fact that they had a whole living room and dining room that no one ever went into. I also house sat for a dentist who had a formal dining room that was only used on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I just want to say thank you for the intruder warnings. I like trying to spot things by myself while watching but was never able to because of the jumpscares/intruders so its really nice to be able to join in and just look away when needed.
Watching this after I just got some really shit news and had a very shit time immediately after Jacob going "It's okay! Nobody's mad! Nobody's sad!" in the silly voice made me way more emotional than it would probably ever make anyone else, and I think I really needed it

I grew up visiting my mother’s grand-aunts and various other elderly persons with German heritage, many of whom lived in Gilded Age houses. The feeling of playing that house is very much like the feeling of being a six-year-old having to sit still in Sunday clothes for four hours while everyone discusses their health, dust motes and all.
Oh my God my grandmother's has a room like that and noone was aloud in and has old antique furniture. I don't understand why it's not the main living as its much bigger then current living room and better lit
