"The men in the elevator are not an anomaly." I'm sorry, but four identical men trapped in an elevator for six hours, who don't move or talk or react to their situation in any way (unless they're possessed or whatever), seems pretty damn anomalous to me. Also, maybe it's just me, but the title screen and music kinda give me LSD: Dream Emulator intro video vibes. I dig it.
My head-cannon is that the Jimmys died in an event that put the elevator out-of-order, but they're, like, native anomalies, and the ones to be reported are invasive anomalies.
They’re anomalous in the context of reality… but maybe perfectly normal in the context of the world where objects shrink and grow and move and shadows grow and turn into black holes
For anyone wondering re: fan - The fan anomaly is that it STOPS moving. What chat was saying is that it was stuttering speeds, which is in fact a framerate thing. J+J were correct, and said themselves that every time they looked it was 'being normal' meaning that it was moving smoothly in their POV without the stream compression. They did get a stopping fan anomaly correct during the stream but re: the framerate they were not being 'smug' :)
I'm not sure that's entirely correct? While yes, thats entirely a possibility, I did see the fan "slow down" for a sec before chat started shouting about it, which, of course, could be the game itself loading the asset in making it slow for a sec, the framerate, or it actually being an anomaly

at 1:06:37, as soon as Julia said "it was your monitor shaking" i thought "oh no, I'm sorry I was shaking my leg." and then immediately upon the thought that that was silly because I'm not there, Jacob said the same thing
I like that the jimmies are in the elevator even though the elevator door has caution tape over it. Feels like they got caught inside when the elevator broke and maintenance just left them there overnight lol
Funnily enough, I've had the opposite problem. Being perfectly aware that they _are_ the hosts from Drawfee, I will think "they really don't sound the same as they do in Drawfee videos." I think it's just that I had difficulty recognizing voices; I need visual and voice together. So, to me, Julia-with-facecam voice is different than Julia-with-avatar voice. (and all her excellent voice acting in Drawtectives does _not_ help. I have the hardest time noticing when she's having a conversation with herself because two of her characters are talking to each other)

School Attempt 1: - the lights in the Gym were very bright, starting at 12:01 - this was mentioned by the chat at 14:05 - the far row of chairs were all pushed out in Classroom 2, starting at 21:05 - the left basketball hoop on the far wall vanished, starting at 21:30 School attempt 2: - a chair just past the fire doors switched sides in Corridor, starting at 49:04 Apartment attempt 1: - A box appeared by the door in Stairway, starting at 1:03:20 - Julia mentions it immediately but doesn't pull the trigger - a switch or something on the wall in front of the microwave disappeared in Kitchen, starting at 1:20:27 Apartment Attempt 2: - a piece of paper directly towards the camera from the center of the elevator door disappeared in Stairway, starting at 1:46:47
Just want to note at 1:09:05 that since that level does not distinguish anomaly types we can't know if that was an "intruder" anomaly or just a "door open/close" anomaly, maybe she just lives there

Those anomalies in the school are such dark comedians. First they make you call out a wheelchair on the wall of the gym, they bring many naked men into the buidling, and then they actually placed a gun on one of the desks. edit: now it's just kind of sad
That chair(?) in the corridor in the far back that switches sides and no one notices makes me feral I know it’s insanely subtle but once I notice it I’m going insane

I do wonder who is fixing these anomalies and how. Do you have a partner who's job it is to go into the school and shoo away the naked men? What do they do about the rapidly expanding voids? Walk up and slap some flex seal over it? When things violently shake do they hit it with a rolled up newspaper until it stops? Do they have duplicates of all the original paintings and replace them when they get messed up or do they just take it off the wall and shake it until it goes back? When things go missing do they have to find the object to put it back or do they have to get a new one? What do they do when the floor/walls change? I want a game from that perspective. where someone's job is to fix all these weird things using mundane means. Even make it so some of the reports are false so the person has to walk into the room and determine if the anomaly actually exists or if the person on the security camera is being paranoid.
I wondered the same thing, but this felt like it had some SCP vibes to it. A nice McGuffin magical device that probably just goes in and reverts objects and places back to its correct frequency and removing the shit that shouldn’t be there or what changed. But a sister game called Anomaly Assembler or something where you get a list of reports of anomalies to fix and you have to figure out how to fix them based on what they are with a given tool set sounds fun to me!
I also rethought it some more and the title “AnomElite” came to me. Like the Anomaly Elite Squad or the Anomaly Delete. Picturing the game was fun and the fact that it would most likely be in a 3D environment probably Unity engine project would make it very enjoyable. Sort of like Viscera Detail and Phasmaphobia had a baby but more fun lol.
37:23 looked up the intruders from the installments they didn't play and boy are the ones in nos. 2 & 3 a lot more NSFW than this one UPDATE: I checked out the other intruders in this game, and I would like to say that I was wrong about this. Other intruders they did not get here are just as explicit.
There was a problem with it in the earlier rounds, you can clearly see it change speeds, they were just spending more time reading chat than actually watching the fan.
It was a frame rate issue with twitch. One of the times it slowed down Julia was almost certainly looking at it (she moved her cursor to it and started talking about the fan) but still didn’t see the fan slow down. And if you look it up the fan anomaly is “fan stops working”.
tell me why I decided to listen to this while working at my new job because lemme tell you. it took 100% of my energy and restraint to not to burst out laughing at "WHEELCHAIR? NOT IN MY SCHOOL" in my crowded office
The way they joke about the anomalies is exactly what makes these kinds of spooky games possible for me to watch. Have never enjoyed a spooky game unless it's them playing it

The fact that they didn't do "Other" for the fan when that's been the anomaly for other fans that stop or spin in the wrong direction in the game makes me wonder if the fan anomaly was a legit one and they just misreported it :'D

i’ve been watching the observation duty streams you’ve done with mum bcs she loves puzzle games like this, and even tho she screams every time there’s something spooky, she’s been SO hooked on them 🥲
when julia was huffing over the chair right when jacob leaned over for a second I was terrified those were sniffing noises, I was questioning how truly chaotic the energy was this stream

again, what we're watching is a recording of the stream, not what it looked like on their screen. they were referring to the phenomenon of watching a video of something rotate (like helicopter blades or a fidget spinner) where different framerates can make it appear slower or faster. i'm guessing the streaming software adjusts framerate continuously based on performance, and cause of that the speed seemed to change for viewers, while it actually stayed the same ^^

Alright, I've discovered that when people say something is spooky, maybe I should take that and just jot watch it. I watched until the ad read and then let myself quit, otherwise I'm pretty sure my heart would've collapsed in on itself. It wasn't so bad until they got the first intruder, then I knew how creepy it could get.
