Hi i am from the netherlands and this is only 2 streets in amsterdam so not everywhere. It is safe to go with kids you can go sightseeing in the rijksmuseum it is an really popular museum you can also go to the sience museum in which you can do some cool sience stuff yourself it is called nemo an you can also go to madamme toussauds that are like wax statues of famous people like our king and some famous singers like ariana grande etcetera so there is a lot to do only down side is that there is a smell of weed everywhere in the city of amsterdam and you can buy it in almost every corner I hope this is useful and have a great time!

I don't live in amsterdam, but do live in the netherlands (the east side), and yes... Amsterdam do be like that, but its really only for tourists who look for it. There are spots that are awfull (like this video), but there are also really fun and safe places. (in the east of the netherlands atleast) we kinda hate this part of our country lmao
