Also, idk if anyone has pointed this out-I’m sure they have, but how you make everything positive is so inspiring. Like instead of thinking/saying “ugh loud kids that’s kind of annoying” you say “ohh there are some kids being happy having fun” or something similar. It’s so easy to get negative. Harder to be positive, but it looks easy for you. And it rubs off! Love it
Roger is such a gentlemen. He’s part of a dying breed of men. I love the way he loves you, Karen. He’s a keeper for sure. I’m so happy you two found each other 💕
Been watching you for quite some time now & cannot express how much I look forward to your videos they ALWAYS BRIGHTEN MY DAY!! Your voice, watching you source & how you decide on your choices.. your little laugh.. & how very sweet it is to watch 2 so much in love people navigate life together doing what you both love so much! You are both such inspirations for me as a brand new reseller! When I’m having a rough day you lighten my load!! Thank you so much for everything!!
That CD tower can be placed in a bathroom and hold rolled up towels placed on their side. I've been a guest at a BNB that did this! I thought it creative :) Love items with dual purpose !
I think it would be interesting (not mandatory) to know your OOTD, like "I'm wearing a Johnny Was top, thrifted or not, Lilly Pulitzer earrings..." I think that would add to your intro. 🎉❤🛒✨️😍🛍
I would love to see her add OOTD to her vids. Even if it is a tee shirt and jeans day . She always looks so stylish and fun. She even makes a “JAWS” tee shirt look classy😊
those granny square afghans are not cheap to make and time consuming and have you seen the cost of yarn these days . I use to crochet my own blankets because it was cheaper to make then buy but these days you can buy new blankets a whole lot cheaper then making them
The carved turtle wasn't missing his back. I just got back from a turtle rescue in NC and they sell them in their gift shop. I bought a smaller one because they were just a tad pricey.
Karen, you could use that wicker CD rack as a planter box - line with plastic and add either soil or potted plants inside. The print that says Eze - Eze is a lovely old village on the French Riviera - famous for these types of Medieval scenes. I love cobalt blue glass and pottery. Fun video and happy you're home safe/sound!
Happy Sunday Roger and Karen. Another joyous experience virtually shopping with you and your RU-vid audience. I'm learning so much. Praying all is well with Melissa. Hugs & Blessings
Smokey the bear was on the news the other day because it was his 80th birthday! I recently picked up a smokey coffee mug because it comped out at 25, sold
Briggs and Riley!!!!!!! $4.99?????? HOLY COW!!!!! I spent a FORTUNE for my B&R about 12 years ago. LOVE this brand which is considered quite high end...GREAT quality. What a score Roger!
Florals have been trending for a bit. Mixing prints and colors lends itself to florals of varied scale. Boho and the return to classic and antique decor is one reason for the renewed popularity of floral pieces.
Welcome home, Karen! Briggs & Riley is a definite BOLO. Most flight attendants pay up for these (good eye, Roger!). This FA/ reseller hopes to own one someday ;). P.S. I just sold that identical Eileen blouse (only mine was sleeveless) $40!
13:30 Ohhhh my gosh- I love that granny square afghan! I have been looking for one! I do agree with what you said about the colors of it though. I want the squares to be more floral looking, but I still would’ve bought that one:) Thanks for the long video today. I love spending my Sunday morning coffee time with you & Roger 😊❤
Hi Karen and Roger! I am super excited about those Lily Pulitzer towels you found. I can’t wait until you list them. Oh, and I didn’t comment on one of the previous videos, but I do think it would be super cool to see Roger do some videos.😉😉 💚y’all!
I would use that wicker cd holder by putting it on its back and I'd put 6 bun legs on the bottom and put plants in it. It would make a great long planter.
This is Grandma from Texas. It breaks my heart when people use vintage or antique dishes or china for project pieces. In the case of the paisley dishes glued together to make the cake stand in your video here. Those dishes are sold at Dollar Tree. I’m so glad of that. Love your videos.
Enjoying watching the video right now. The first thing that came to mind when I saw the CD storage basket is to use it as a centerpiece on a long dining table and perhaps change what you use to fill it with each holiday or leave same year round. It would be awesome for both Christmas and Thanksgiving!
You’re so cute! “I’m not getting that”. That was my question. I laughed out loud when I heard you say you’re not getting it. LOL. You’re the best! I met you in Las Vegas almost 3 years ago at the BOSS Remix. Haven’t missed a video! ❤ Val
I was also curious about the yellowed glass because I often find it, so I did a search and found this: Arsenic was used in glass-making before the second world war (pre 1940) and to a lesser extent after that date. When irradiated or exposed to sunlight for a long time, this glass turns yellow. The effect can be seen in the headlamps of very old cars.
Im completely in your boat when it comes to glass! I have no idea! I walk past it, i try, it just all looks the same to me lol. I would also like to know about the slight yellowing with glass as well, hopefully someone with knowledge of glass answers this question;) Glad you had a great vacation, with all the work you do, its well deserved. I hope and pray Mellissa is recovering quickly, I watch her videos as well. Shes such a cheerful, kind person! Love watching you and Roger thrift! You two are my favorite, i honestly learn alot from you and it is so greatly appreciated. Roger too, hes definitely got alot of knowledge. I look forward to Wednesdays and Sundays;)
I don’t know a ton about glass, but I do know a little bit:) A lot of times glass produced before 1940 had arsenic in it & when it’s exposed to sunlight for a long time, the effects are yellowing. Glass turns purple for the same reason, but it’s because it has manganese dioxide in it, not arsenic. Basically it’s all just a reaction to sunlight 🔆 I hope this helps you!
@10:25 I don't know if it made a difference, but you were holding the sconce upside-down...the top candle holder was loose, and the 2 sides ones were upside-down 🫤 I thought it was nice but looked to be quite long. I love going along with you & hubby 🫡🥰 Awesome Batman/Joker holographic find 🤩 @13:25 LOVE LOVE LOVE the afghan 🤩🤩 I LOVE the solid colors in that one!!!
Hi Karen! The padded embroidery is called "stumpwork" synonyms include "raised embroidery" and "plushwork". This technique dates babk hundreds. If not thousands, of years.
I love going shopping with you. I learn so much from you. Thanks. It’s your newbie follower. Your Goodwill has reasonable prices. Some of our Goodwills in Orlando have outrageous prices.😉🦋
