Anthony Richardson has been doing this for years, at UF, he looked great in practice, at the draft he put on a show, there is no doubting his physical ability to play the game, the question is if he has the mind for it. His stats at Florida where, well bad, and the only thing he did consistently was run the football. He has a lot of work to do to be an NFL QB. The Colts took him knowing this, everyone wants that next freak, the next Mahomes, so we will continue to see teams take chances on guys like Anthony Richardson. It may pay off, but I think there is a much higher chance it doesn't.

I'm not sold on Richardson just yet after watching him at Florida last year but he showed flashes of great. I'm very happy my Titans scooped Will Levis 2nd round. I think he'll be a good fit and hopefully he can soak up a year of knowledge before we start him. Also got to use the 12th pick to fill a huge need with a future great offensive lineman able to play all 5 positions, played all 4 years as starting left tackle since true freshman.

This is a terrible sign. They had to choose this as the footage? He threw the ball into a net that is literally less than five yards up field. They had to use camera tricks to make it look more impressive. And they had to make a guy stand on the back of the net to make it even easier.

Prior to the draft Troy Aikman made a comment about how for QB prospects you'll hear analysis like "he makes all the throws". I'm paraphrasing but it was essentially "of course he can make the throws. If he couldn't why would he even be in consideration to get drafted?" It's silly to get all excited about a rookie demonstrating the basic skills that any successful NFL player of his position would have to have. If he's stinking in OTAs then you really got a problem but he should be able to do the fundamentals. Malek Willis was impressing people in workouts and such last year and he was so inept in game it was like he had never even watched football before, let alone played it. The QB graveyard is full of "rockets for arms". I hope Richardson does well and I generally like the Colts but let's not plan the parade route yet. But you can be happy that there hasn't been anything obviously negative thus far.

Last year at this moment Matt Ryan was taking the colts to a historic season with pat penciling them into a division win. Fool me once.
