Compassionate, the guy literally just said they would make the new guys cry.. and if they didn’t then they were doing their job right, and they had fun doing it…
When I first came across The Dirt Monkey channel he had less than 60k subscribers. Now, 3-4 years later its at almost 700,000. WOW! Keep it up brother Stanley!!!!!
As always excellent video, jamming music and kick arse work.. so glad there's still contractors that take pride in their work. Keep em coming Stan.. God Bless
Good video Stan! Always a joy seeing great work done quickly and efficiently. Putting it up for scrutiny - your customers should fell so comfortable with your crew's work. Cheers man!
It's good to know there are still honest contractors out there to do a job right and not just trying to make a quick buck and be gone. Thanks for what you do.
Always good seeing people working and caring about the quality of their work. You've founded a great company, Stan and a good culture within your company.
Having banter at work is so important I find! Going to far will always be a thing but drawing a line is half the fun! Always interested in your videos, I’m from the UK and into cars not building, very interesting.
Love your retaining wall vids. That's what I started with watching you a few years back. Something along the lines of what contractors do wrong with retaining walls, and how you do 'em right.
You did a great job staying cool with the building inspector because I don’t know if I could! I would hire you because of your good work and not taking short cuts!
You absolutely intrigue me with your wherewithal....!!!! I absolutely love your style and commitment to a higher standard workmanship !!! Job well done Sir..!!!
You are absolutely correct about placing terraced walls too close together with no geogrid. It imparts a surcharge load on the lower wall, which can cause the lower wall to tip over or kick out at the bottom.
I only have a few words for you I love the videos that you put up and how you share your experiences with others you rock on Stan and God bless you as well
Yeah, comes across as profit driven VS a contractor that is providing the best services for a customer. Even if it’s low budget, it’s still your responsibility to represent your client with industry standards +. Who knows, maybe they plan to sell them a new lawn from their lack of attention of detail.
What would a tarp do with that much gravel, you weekend Lowe's twinks don't understand the grass will be messed up with a tarp, plywood etc... obviously this guy makes a very good living doing it the way he does
Outstanding workmanship, really, I had no idea! I live in FLA. Everything is sand and no stinking SNOW AN ICE, BUT WE HAVE STINKING HURRICANES, BUT WE HAVE NO STATE INCOME TAX AND A RIGHT TO WORK LAW👍👌😁 EVERYONE GETS TO WORK! You work you eat 👍👍👍👌😜
I’m not in this type of business or anything close to it, I don’t even have a home that needs a wall, but for some reason I enjoy watching these videos.
I looked at that (My first time seeing it) and was like that looks like it's gonna take forever to do anything. then I saw the operator diggin and removing hte old wall all without changing the bucket. That's very slick attachment for what they are doing.
I made a comment and I was drunk so I want to say I am so sorry I retired from construction and you are a good person so I will say it again you are a good man
Hey Stan! Hope you are doing well today! Tell Tim he is doing great with the videography! I love the building videos! Keep up the great work! Stay warm and Safe out there! Im not usually hoping for snow, but its a little frustrating not having any plow-able snow!!! It has all been dustings that require salt or very minuscule snowfalls.
I enjoyed being the new guy even though it was only twice.. I always let the guys know that if you are not teaching then you may be subject to beatings "& that's my way to bust balls".. funny how you get instant respect & the experienced tradesmen were happy to teach you those lil tricks 😉🤣🤣
If you had a spade truck you mite of been able to save the trees but they were planted to close to the house in the first place trees like that need space. Cute when small but a pain when they grow. I use to do land scaping back in the day we never had equipment like you the machines that you have now. Plus the attachments you can get for your excavator now mind blowing.
@@Dirtmonkey great work all around! Great videos. I’ll be sending my credentials over soon for a job! Lol (been in construction/contractor for about 13years)
I love watching machine operators. My father started with a backhoe in the late 60s, then moved up to tracked digger. He claim to have never damaged a single cable, even when coming across unmarked military comms cabling. I never really got to see him work the machines back when he was still working. (We're restoring an old backhoe similar to the one he started with, so I hope to get to see him perform, and also learn to handle it) Walls being pushed out. I've seen that happen even with the concrete blocks that have a tab at the back to lock it in place above the row underneath.
Not sure if someone commented this, but: Why put the gravel on the lawn without a tarp or something under it? Seems like extra woor getting the rocks up.?
My engineer boss always used poly foam as frost protection if needed in a spot like that... That's in Michigan, dunno if that passes up there by you. Just an idea.
These last few videos with the grapple are painful to watch. I know Stan loves the grapple but It just looks so inefficient. But there's a time and place for everything.
