Trying to find their names to see what else they have done but cannot find anything. You would think with the internet it would be easier. I know the one on the right was on the dating game but thats it. I thought the one on the left was actually Nancy Sinatra from another grainy video but I dont think it is
I've always wondered whether the singers on the MCC recordings are the same as this fine group of folks who are 'performing' them on screen. I do know that the Ray Conniff singers on the albums were not the same ones that toured and performed on TV shows, which is normally the case with big troupes like this
Yes....the performers on these videos are also the ones on the albums. Including the kids. They did have member changes over the years that they were active, though.
I certainly enjoy these MCC videos. No, they adon't hold up well, and yes, they are dated as heck, but, in context, they are wonderful. For some reason, I don't know exactly why, they remind me of leafing through Sears-Roebuck catalags...... ps- obligatory Jodie Foster comment
She sure looks like her, but I've never heard of Jodie being in this group. Likely Patti, though. Kathy Coleman was in the group at one time, too, I believe.
There are a couple there . The one in the rear at far left is believed to be Nancy Sinatra. Have searched and searched for a list of all the members, and what they are doing now , but no luck.
I don't know what to think of these performances especially the two young boys in the group were a little bit too over the top while singing.... I was told they were lipsynching and I believe it.
@@barbarahenley2583 The character played by Rusty Keller in The Waltons (1976) and James at 16 (1978) is the redhead in the M. C. Congregation; the resemblance (facial features, hair and build) between the two is stunning. Unfortunately, I haven't found out anything else about Rusty since those appearances, and it's been over 40 years. Such a talented kid, it's surprising (and a shame) he didn't continue performing and making a name for himself. Lastly w/r/t the rumor of his getting killed at McDonalds 10 years after the M. C. Congregation performances, that would have occurred in the early to mid 1980s, which is well past The Waltons and James at 16 episodes. Maybe, with luck, we'll find out more about what happened with this guy.
The Nancy Sinatra look alike is so over the top she looks ridiculous. I've seen her behave that way in more than one video, acts high as a kite on something.
