It Was All Going Great.... Then The Inspector Arrived 

I grew up with Dad using that kind of wire to surround our Dog pen, however instead of cutting panels like that he tacked one end of it to the corner post, then unrolled it the length of the side. At that point he attached a pair of 2"x8"x5' wood pieces to it that were connected through the wire to each other with tightened lag bolts and then a chain was attached for even pulling, and a cum-a-long used to stretch the fence. it has held up now with no bowing for around 30-40 years.

Suggestion: Attach to an anchored corner post stretching to the next corner post using a fence stretcher pulling it tight. Then stretch up and down attaching to your cross rails. No cutting needed. On uneven and up or down hill attach cross rail parallel to the ground.

I would put the fence on the outside so if an animal pushes on it they won't be able to push in and then off. I don't know never did a fence like this before, I'm probably wrong. This is a standard code for sub panels, where the grounding and grounded conductors are isolated from each other. At the service, The first disconnect after utility power, I.E. the main breaker is where the neutral is bonded with the main bonding jumper to the grounding bar. All sub panels and equipment from the first disconnect out bound have neutral and ground separated. The neutral is to be floating or isolated from the metallic can. The main panel, in contrast, typically has green ground screw through the grounding bus bar and into the metal can of the panel, as bonding neutral and ground. Neutral is called Grounded, and carries current. the return path of the unbalanced load, and should be white or yellow striped in your application. Grounding is earth ground, and has NO CURRENT on it at any time except for in a fault condition, and provides the method for breakers to instantaneously trip during a ground fault. Ground is Green. Grounding = Green. Grounded = Dead, carries current. The two are separated along the entire electrical system except at the service, I.E. main disconnect after Utility connection. Its always good to throw in some extra 1" conduit while you have a ditch open for future power, like electric fence for garden or irrigation controls.

It's a little late but a fence stretcher would help you pull that bulge out...you can also use a long rod that pull evenly along the fence and than use a ratchet pull it tight...just a thought to try.

You two are truly ❤ an awesome inspiration for All of us!!! I've done fence panels using chain link put in metal and fastened onto railroad ties. It was super strong, time consuming and yes probably overkill! But I must say that in 20yrs a car lost control, crashed into the panel which was the only thing that had to be replaced which with WD-40 & elbow grease got it unbolted from the tie and replaced!! I really like 👍 what you did while enjoying the loving ❤ tender moments btwn each other! It was a temporary setback but definitely not a fail just a 1st time learning experience for future success! It's wonderful to share the great experience as well as a temporary step to a fix 😀 and move forward to pass the next inspection! God's Blessings 🙏 for continuing family success and warm weather!!🙂🙂

Beautiful piece of property with a great View

I just want to observe how well you two manage/cultivate/conserve/curate your channel. Most people will not notice your attention to detail. I do.

Your fence around your garden area is done now but something to think about on future fencing jobs... if you are keeping animals ""in"" you put your wire on the "inside", keep animals ""out"", you put the fence wire one the outside of your posts and rails. A moose can lean or brush up on your fence and it can just pop your staples and wire off. Also. When fencing comes on rolls, you dont cut it all up. Your fence is stronger and more reusable if left long. Unroll your fencing on the inside or outside your post depending if keep in animals or out. Nail fencing on 1st posts and go several or the length of fence and streach it by hand/tool or tractor with a boughten or handmade fence streacher. Then nail fencing to all posts. On corners, you always put the fencing on the ""outside"" of corner posts. Rolls of wire are not applied like stock panels. Common mistake if using rolled wire for 1st time. Good luck and you guys are doing a great job! Keep it up!!
