I would never ever polish a gold coin. They do not need cleaning. Gold does not tarnish or corrode. Gold comes out the ground how it went in the ground. That was the 9th gold coin I've found with a metal detector in as many years. Thanks for watching

Ayup Shawn, doin OK cheers, not been out for over 2 weeks now, had a right stinker of a chest infection. Should be fit n healthy for the weekend and hopefully a full dayer on Saturday weather permitting. How you been getting on?

Oh dear bud I feel for ya not good chest infections 😩 yea doing good to be fair been out had a bit a silver and few other interesting bits ,still haven’t heard nothing back from museum about that silver pendant I bet I don’t see that again 😔 gutted ,hopefully out this Sunday looking for that elusive gold ring 🤣 👍

@@shawncarpenter1289 I will NEVER record anything ever again with my FLO, they are a waste of time. 3 years I been waiting to get my 3 hammered coins back and they trying to tell me a museum wants to buy them. I regret recording them so much

What a cool find mate 😁👍🏻 funny how these old bottles are super cool to use yet back then they just discarded them like we do an empty tin of coke these days, I wonder if folk in 150 years will get excited when they find a perfect coke can 😂👍🏻

Hi mate, yeah one mans junk from a couple of lifetimes ago is now another mans treasure. I never really had any interest in history or antiques, but now as a 42 year old adult I love both. Thanks for watching this short video

@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire I know what you mean, I was never that overly interested in history at school, it's only since I got an old git I have worked out that everything that happens in history has a knock on effect with how everything is today in the world, hence why I'm a tour guide now up in the Highlands of Scotland telling folk stories about history 😁👍🏻

@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire best job in the world mate, it's not even like a job for most part, you get to know folk and it's like going on a road trip with your mates and have a right laugh, only spend the first part of the day telling stories because for the rest of the day we just have a general chit chat and chuck in the odd historical facts when I see something, it's very easy going and not stressful whatsoever 😁👍🏻 I take my coins and musket balls in the van with me to show folk which is always interesting for the folk on board 👍🏻
