I’m sad for both Rosie / Mia and her person who gave her up due to illness, but so grateful she landed at the Asher house where she can have a great new life, or get adopted by a loving new family. Mia I just want to squish that sweet face of yours but Lee will have to do it for me because I live across the country from you! 😘
That is fair to say: “Please keep Rosie. Her name is Rosie now was. She was loved as Rosie but now she would be loved as Mia.” Rosie doesn’t have to seem so fitting forever.
Rosie has got the sweetest face. I really wish you would keep her name Rosie, she wasnt a stray or a shelter dog, she was loved by someone for 6 years, someone who loved her enough to know that she couldnt look after her properly anymore.
I agree, if there are no negative connotations with Rosie's name from her past, and her previous owner, _she should _*_keep her name._* It _softens_ her image, for people who think her breed/mix is _"scary."_ I love when dogs & cats have sweet, "old-fashioned," human names, and when so-called "tough" dog breeds have turquoise or hot pink collars/leashes, and are dressed in cute garments or costumes. Apparently, there's another Rosie already there, but with *over 100 dogs* currently at Asher House, there are bound to be some with similar-sounding names, and there may be some confusion among them as it is at _roll call,_ especially when a bunch of them are hankering for _Lee's_ attention.
Totally agree! She has too many changes already and I think it would be less bewildering if she could keep her name, especially as a tribute to her former owner.
Totally agree. Lee has shared with us why he does the rename, which usually makes sense. As you said re: Rosie, she was very loved. Probably also less confusion for her.
People are saying there's already another Rosie in the pack, that's why the change. But I was thinking what about Ruby, it'd be similar enough to her ears
I would not change her name. All she knows is that she has been Rosie for the last 6 yrs. You could name a new rescue Mia. She is so darn cute. That face is just so precious!
“I would not change her name but because he has to. “ I wish he could have named this new rescue Mia. She is do darn cute. I don’t like the name he ended up going with which is Nanna.
Personally I'd keep her name the same. That way she can hold on to one thing that isn't a change but either way I know she will be well loved and cared for by Lee and the rest of the pack and crew
I think he’s had or may currently have a Rosie or a dog with a super similar name …. Maybe Rosa is her name. I think this maybe why he’s doin it. But I agree Rosie should keep her name. As should all the dogs that already have names
These vids are always over too damn quick. That was beautiful . Rosie\Mia is a sweetheart. I could watch those cows over and over. Mia looks at home already. Thank you, Lee. ❤️🐶❤️
Shes a Dogue De Bordeaux!!! We had 2 for 15 years (shor lifespans of like 8 years). Best dogs we ever had. She will be your constant companion different from the others. DBDs have such a presence. ❤
Please keep her original name of “Rosie”. Thank you for all that you do for these precious animals. You have a heart of gold and your caring and concern are endless. You are amazing!
At about 2:16 when Rosie's looking out the window and he says "alright guys they're leaving now..." The music played and she looked so alone. Dear girl. We all know that feeling of being left and looking out the back window like that. May she be happy now. 💗
Amazing turnaround Lee! She knows you love her already. The look from her though when you said “put her on a little diet” her eyes got bigger. LOL! Thank you Lee for all you do!
Just imagine how this beautiful girl feels right now. Rosie is grieving, frightened and desperately missing her Mum. Bless you Sweetheart. You will find love, care and companionship. She just needs time. 🙏🐶🏡🇦🇺💗
Awe Rosie, you are such a sweet girl and a true warrior what you’ve been through but you got a great new owner now is gonna give you your best life. She is beautiful sending much love and prayers to you all there at the beautiful Lee Asher sanctuary. I cannot believe how big of a sanctuary you have now and when you started Lee! It’s such a beautiful journey you’ve been on, and I am so honored to be witnessing this wonderful life you’re leading with these incredible animals. I hope to be able to encounter your sanctuary with your beautiful animals someday would be a real treat . Thank you for all you do you’re gonna be just fine Rosie, your brave girl . 🐾💋
As sad as this story is, what an amazing son and (daughter in law/sibling) for bringing the dog to a loving place so she can rest easy knowing her beloved animal is in good hands ❤️ and also what a selfless & brave of the owner to let the dog go to a good home
Awwww A Hootch Look alike, She is super gorgeous!!! I always get so warm hearted seeing your videos, I have such admiration for you and everything you do for these beautiful babies. I hope one day I can open up a pet sanctuary also, that is my dream. ❤️🐾👑💋
Yes, please keep her name. She came from a loving home and her mom is ill can’t keep her, which I’m sure was so hard for her and If her mom see’s her girl with a different name it would be devastating.
When you said diet, Mia looked at you like "Excuse me"??!? She's already in love with you. When you were smooshing that squishy face, you could see it. She's a gem! So are you Lee!
What a beautiful dog....she is going to live her best life at The Asher House. What a different dog ...from the dog we saw at the beginning of this video. She was just frightened & was in a strange place. Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊
It is so sad to see pets sad and scared. They have to change their environment due to sad circumstances. I know you will give her a great life. Thank you for loving animals. ❤❤❤
It's heartbreaking the lady became too ill to care for her dog and also, I'm certain Rosie misses her very much. I know she'll get a lot of love, medical care, good food, and have fun walking and playing at the sanctuary.
And a hero comes along. And his name is Lee! Who continues to inspire and educate people on how to truly care for dogs! When I watch your videos my day always gets better.. ❤
My gf and I rescued a Bordeaux and he was the best family member and companion/ protector ever. Once they warm up to their new family hey provide constant comic relief when your having an off day and will be a true pocket pet and protector. Enjoy the new family member.
Lee, you are for sure the dog whisperer! You can read them like a book. They can sense the goodness of your big heart. Thanks for being there for each and everyone of those pooches. From Canada with❤
I watch your videos everyday. I have tears of joy fir all your fur babies you rescue Lee you are a blessing to all the animals you rescue they have a chance now of love and care. Lee you are amazing beyond that to have such love and devotion. Lee you really are the most caring person l know. Thank you for saving their lives 🙏 ❤️ 💕
She’s such a sweetheart poor baby she has a lot of adjustments to make but you’re the right person to help her and I’m sure she’ll get help from your loving staff and the rest of the dogs as you know any species of animal instinctively knows when they’re going to be safe after a while, and sometimes instantly, but you and your staff have so much patience for these little sweeties who probably feel confused and lost at first and of course scared, I commend you and every staff member you haveyou guys do a great job if I were steady on my feet I would love to help rescue animals but just seen your videos melts my heart in a good way because I know they’re going to be safe with you guys and all the work you do❤ by the way I have a rescue cat named Rosie❤
This totally made me cry. The way she was looking back as you were driving away broke my heart. I am so happy she is with you now and will learn just how beautiful her life has become. Thank you for all you do for all,of the animals also that you rescue.❤
To put in context Bordeaux’s don’t like moving away from the owner , they can mourn and stop eating to the point of they die . If you got her and she trusts you , if she eats then you on to a winner . My last rescue Bordeaux I got to 13 + years as she had two litters before me and we suspected she was 2.5 years old . I had her nearly 10 years 10 months . I did a name change as she didn’t command under her name . Just ignored you ( a few bad habits ) , so went from daisy to beu , said like bu as she had a torn tendon in a back leg and looked like a kid with a full nappy ( bubble in the undies ) when she walked . Give her plenty of walks as they a lazy breed , they will happily sit or lay about given the chance ( not good for them as they die early ) But best advice is you now taken on a dog that will never want to leave your side 24/7 . They a companion dog who will love your family , kids are safe as they often get terrorised by kids and they don’t snap ( rather look at you as if to say get this irritation away from me ) lol . Made up for you buddy, show her love , a warm home and a good feed and I bet you at the end you will say you never had a dog like her ( you probably get another Bordeaux ). Sad to see her lose her owner but she’s going to another good home , if you hand reared cattle then you got the patience to put her on the right path
@@myhandlehasbeenmishandled I had a male who contracted the DDB virus and he lasted till 6 . yeah I expected her to live 6-8 but she done 13 and she had been abuse by the owner before me ( snapped tendon in back leg and puppy farmed ). What I have found since is the females do last longer than the males .
I've come to the realization I have to rescue my next dog. My current dog is from a breeder but my next one is a rescue. Thanks, Lee. For all you do. These dogs are all so beautiful. Every. Single. One.
I am almost 70 years old now, and I have a senior Chihuahua at 15 years old. She is my little soulmate, and one of my greatest fears is that if something happened to me, what would happen for my sweet girl? I pray that if that should occur, she would somehow find her way to someone who would love her and take care of her. Rosie a.k.a. Mia has hit the happy jackpot! Bless you Lee for coming to her rescue. I do agree with these other people's comments, if it was me I would keep her as Rosie. It is a name she associates with love. ❤❤
Hey RU-vid, "someone" is refusing to post my comments again. I don't know why. I'm not being rude or swearing at people, etc. Anyway.... Teresa, if I were you, I would start preparing right now for my doggy. You'll probably outlive her by years. Still, just in case... Many seniors' dogs are basically "tossed out" after the owners are gone, because the seniors were without friends and family. If long-lost family members are reached, they may not have any love for the dog and off to a shelter it goes. Hopefully, many kind-hearted people will first attempt to find the dog a good home.
She’s beautiful, she’ll learn what a beautiful world, & life you have to give her! Thank you Lee. It’s so sad to see how many are afraid of big dogs. 🐕
Another lucky pup! Love that she knew you love her and she trusted you, Lee! By the end of the video, her tail had moved a few inches away from her body! Yay! I look forward to seeing her comfortable and happily wagging it!
Rosie is an absolute unit and pretty to boot. Poor baby girl, so scared and confused. But so much love is in her future!! I hope Rosie/Mia helps heal your heart a little after the loss of Lily.
Hi Lee. I'm curious as to why you renamed her, when you know her story and circumstances that brought her to Asher House? She was loved and clearly she must have loved her person, and her name was given to her by her person. I believe her heart will always remember her person she spent her 6 years with.
On t'aime déjà ❤
My heart goes out to Mia and her mom. I know that had to be tough for both of them. The dog will have a good life though, so mom doesn’t have to worry about her.
I've been missing your videos. I finally got a new one I love your attitude. You're very spiritual. You have a good soul when you're having exiting tax and heart. Attacks when you're having strokes. I have animals around me because they keep me calm I love your videos
You should do some teaching videos on how to be patient, calm, respectful etc to help adopters transition with fearful dogs. You truly have an amazing gift ❤❤❤🐾🐾🐾
What a beauty this Roise is!! With your patience, love, and understanding, she is going to fall in love with you!! With unconditional love and kisses, Mia is your girl!! Very nice job, love you always!! 🩷🩷🩷🥰
Omg, I’m in Australia and just sat down to watch some animal planet while my baby sleeps. The shock and excitement when I see MY PACK LIFE is an actual show. How did I not know this existed before today 😮🎉❤ I’m so exciteddddd
DDB's are one of my favourite breeds of dogs you will love having her hanging out with you so loyal, mine passed 3 years ago I could never bring myself to get another Ginger Ninja she was one of a kind! Enjoy her buddy 😊
These furbabies just don't understand what is going on , they don't have any control over the situation. Once Mia is there for a few more days and sees the love, outdoor environment etc , she will feel better.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve had a Bordeaux Dog, got it as a puppy and they are the most awesome dogs you can get. So smart and so sweet and gentle. Mine died unfortunately when he was 4 years and 3 weeks. He died in 2000 but it still hurts when I see one irl or in clips like this. He was my kid! 😢
I’m so grateful for everything you do, but this girl is not a puppy. Rosie is who she has been for six years. Please reconsider changing her name Lee. It’s perfect!
This why I love Asher house. He's so genuine. If I can ever help in anyway I would in heartbeat. Many rescues and there good but Asher house. .... Above n beyond and it's the true love in his heart that shines for every single rescue one by one u can see it
I love everything u do….except when they have had a name their entire life and u change it. I understand if they were named at a shelter or short term, it just seems their name for a long time seems like their past is being erased (if it’s a good past).
Kelley, I agree 100% with you. She was "Rosie" with her previous owner. Just something familiar and even though he might have another "Rosie". If he calls "Rosie" he'll get 2 for the price of 1 👍
