I get the feeling that he doesn't really like talking about The Office in interviews. He's kinda over that stage of being Michael Scott. I think he said that if there's ever an Office reunion he won't be reprising his role as Michael. Rainn Wilson also doesn't like talking about The Office because he's so recognisable as Dwight that he fears being typecasted in future films.

There is more to the story about the Kelly Clarkson line. Judd had given Seth Rogen a writing assignment. He told him to come up with a bunch of dirty things for Steve to say, and a bunch of clean things. Seth couldn't think of anything funny that was clean, so he just started writing down random nonsense just so it looked like he did some work. One of those bits of nonsense was Kelly Clarkson, and Judd used it.
