I've never heard of or eaten this dish, which looks amazing. My seafood-loving family would adore it. Thank you for this beautiful recipe. Merry Christmas!
Every Christmas Eve we have clams, lobster, shrimp, scallops, squid, smelts and cod. In various dishes. This is the first year in my life it’s cancelled. Devastated but it was the right decision.
Being from Spain or any other Mediterranean country, it is so funny that you have to describe going to a fishmongers as something like... exotic... It's these times that make me realize how lucky I am to live here lol...! Anyway, the salad looks incredible!!! If only, I'd put the seafood into ice cold water after poaching them to get my desired texture on it, but it's just how I like to do it
Thank you! We re-lit the studio with all LED (from tungsten) and upgraded to a new 4K camera - this was our first shoot so we have a few tweaks to make!
You are so delightful! My family is from northern Italy and made this every vigilia but I've never tried it, till now! Just subscribed, Grazie, Buon Anno!
Non vedo l'ora di vedere il resto del menù per la vigilia!! This year is gonna be different, just the four of us, but I know that with your recipes it's gonna shine regardless!!
I remember when no one ate mussels, when I was young. Well, no one harvested them commercially. Italians and french people collected them, but the shores were full.
Ever viva Napoli Merry Christmas to You and all your Family,da un Napoletano thanks ever for sharing your delicius recipe comprese le vere ricette Napoletane.❤️
I have never done an Italian feast of seven fishes but my aunts sister-in-law does and I have always wanted to go! We were all going to get together this year and because of the quarantine we can not sadly because they have a new baby in the family and we are trying to be extra safe! I think this will be the first year my fiancé spends Christmas Eve at my moms house so I might put on my own feast of the seven fishes for him! I’m excited and this will def be on the menu.. do you serve it hot or cold?
I know how different things will be, I plan on making my classic dishes but on a very small scale (only 6 of us this year instead of 25) it’s times like these that I need traditions and familiarity the most
I am Canadian trying to make this dish for my Italian girlfriend as a surprise since she told me about it and want to respect her culture around christmas as much as she respects mine
Sadly we dont have any traditions except waiting till we are all together to open gifts xmas day. This is beautiful as always Laura Happy Holidays to you & your beautiful family
I didn't either but started making my own for my family. Seafood Christmas eve has become one of them. It only takes a couple of years to become a tradition!
Yum looks delicious i am making this soon with few subs i love italian food soooooo much even though i am indian drooling over my samsung galaxy note 8 love your recipes making me hungry Thanks Ramya
Straight from my family’s table! Except now I finally have clear instructions and measurements. Literally me with any recipe: “nonna, quanto ci vuole?” Nonna: “nu poc”, or “nu bicchiere”...(meanwhile she’s got glasses in every size LOL)
Hey Laura, just visited this recipe (which I love btw), just a thought, I know it’s an extra step but maybe worth putting the parsley and peppercorns in some muslin... I know you’re chopping it all after but still one less thing to keep picking off each peace 👍💕
I love seafood. I’ll eat it everyday if I could lol. I’m tempted to be a fisherman just to eat it everyday lol. I will definitely be trying this soon! ❤️ oh and my bucket list is definitely to go to Italy!!!
That’s definitely Christmas Eve 🎄 Depending what part of Italy you are from they call it different but do you make savoury fritte or we say crispelle with anchovies??
@@LauraintheKitchen sì, ci piace veramente cucinare con pesce e frutti di mare tutto l’anno, cioè ci fai cominciare a celebrare la nostra versione della festa dei sette pesci da noi per il natale ! auguri a voi dalla california !
Looks good 🤤 Laura you should check the Chanel of an italian nona..everytime i see her i remember you! Its the buon-A-pettitti! Her last vídeo was the pizzelles
