Once again, I apologize for uploading a duplicate, but I explained that I would be doing this. So over the next few weeks, I will be converting all of the earlier videos that I have done so that I can embed them properly on my website as well as not have any copyright infrigements with the music that I had previously used. It will be a process, but once it is done, it will be done. Thank you in advance for your patience. In the mean time, enjoy the video because cold weather will be here before we know it and this will be a lovely thing to consider for supper!
Happy eating!

We loved these meatballs. My husband wont let me fix them any other way. And he doesn't want any sauce of any kind served over them, just out of the oven and on to a plate. The texture of these are outstanding. The perfect meatball.

Sounds really good! I usually like to have Italian meatballs and Italian sausage in home made Italian "gravy." However, I love the simplicity of this recipe, and the combining the beef with the pork sausage into meatballs. Thanks for sharing!

Making these now!! Noreen I have you to thank for teaching me how to make these delicious foods! My step mom only knows how to make West African food so my dad likes when I cook something different sometimes haha oh and I chopped up a whole bunch of carrots and green peppers and added them to the crock pot. Just like my mom makes!

This looks delicious! If I may share a tip from my Sicilian mother-in-law who does make her own sauce, she adds a dash of cream or you can use regular milk (this creates a rosee type of sauce) and celery! which also adds another level of flavour. Then she makes her meatballs and pops them into the sauce and they cook all afternoon. The sauce thins out a bit and the meatballs are always moist.

I'm really happy your doing this. It's nice to see these videos again, that way, I can check up on the ones I may have missed and not saved yet. I save all the recipes, and seeing them again reminds me of just how much we have to work with. That's a good thing! I'm going to do this one over the weekend, I love the ease of this great recipe, and the spices you use, are actually better than the one I always used and loved. Smart way to move things around too! Thank you, this helps a lot.

I agree with you, Noreen! I would NEVER buy the frozen meatballs at the grocery store. Too many preservatives and things I can't even pronounce under "ingredients." Thanks for the video! Looks terrific!

I tried the frozen once, ..and they tasted gross..but that is probably because I always made my own . This guy's Mom actually was from Italy, and he said his Mom put the raw meatballs in the sauce . but I like your recipe !! Why do you think she did that ? Wouldn't they be greasier ? Thank you, dollie. s Subscribing :), Noreen !

Thanks for posting this video! I have pan-fried meatballs to brown them with mixed results (usually, I botch the first batch because I don't shake them around soon enough), but they look much better baked and clearly don't take so much effort.

Great video Noreen! Although I am surprised you chose the jar pasta sauce route, considering how easy red sauces are. I like to add beef broth to my spaghettisauces. I learned that from Rachel Ray. Gives you the "simmered all day" taste if you're in a hurry.

Hi Noreen, made these today and had to use panko breadcrumbs that what I had. I did soak it in 1/2 cup of milk. Meatballs came out a bit wet had to change the parchment paper for the next batch. Was it the panko breadcrumbs or just not enough of It? Thanks

I was just wondering if you could make these with all ground beef instead of adding ground pork. No one in my family likes ground pork or pork in general really. I was just wondering if that would change the flavor profile too much? Thanks!!!

Can you do this with ground turkey also?
@noreenskitchenchannel
@noreenskitchenchannel 8 лет назад
+Bass Garrett Of course! You can use ground turkey instead. You may need to use more bread crumbs and an extra egg though since the ground turkey has a bit more moisture. You also may want to give it a good glug of olive oil since it is much lower in fat than the beef.

I would love to have food storage.. I live in a one bedroom apartment. No space to store food. I cannot afford to own a home with the land taxes and upkeep and I could not handle the upkeep because I am disabled and live alone with a visiting caregiver. Not everyone is able to have a food storage. Your comment was a bit callous. "They're not prepared n the first place ." Not everyone has the ability to live the way you do. I do enjoy cooking when I can and I have always like your recipes and videos but this really came out of left field.
@noreenskitchenchannel
@noreenskitchenchannel 8 лет назад
I still contend that there is no excuse to not have even a small food storage. Everyone has this ability. I was not being callous. That is how you perceived my comment to be. It is your job to be prepared even in the smallest way. An extra box, bag or can of something. Did you know you can store an entire year's worth of food for one person under a twin sized bed? If you didn't, now you do. This certainly did not "come out of left field". I have been talking about food storage and preparedness for years and years. In fact all the years I have been on RU-vid, which is going on nine, I have been talking about this. If you choose to make excuses instead of making an effort, then that is your personal choice. Everyone, no matter what their housing situation, their physical limitations or their income can have a food storage. I know because my husband is disabled, we have been poor and we have been tight so I know. Through all of this we have always had food in our pantry and enough to feed our family for at least three months. It takes time to build and it takes an effort to do, but that is the choice we make. We sacrifice in other places to make sure this happens. Yes, we are better off than most, and we are better now than we were five years ago. But it is all about personal choice.
@elaine5737
@elaine5737 8 лет назад
I know nothing about food storage to the extent that you do. I have canned goods, etc, but certainly not a year's worth. Perhaps you could do a video on starting a small food storage for people like me? I mean, a years worth of food under a bed? I cannot even imagine what that would consist of.

Gersen I am sorry but I do not recommend this. If you want a recipe for cocktail meatballs then it is not with brown gravy. It is a bottle f chili sauce and a bottle of grape. Jelly. Mixing gravy with jelly frankly sounds disgusting.
